bought a galaxy s24 ultra from ebay but has rounded corners

looked new the seal was removed, got a 70 dollar refund for that, but i just saw another person's post about how rounded corners indicate an aftermarket screen. i paid damn 650 for this, i rather would've got a legit xaomi.

Still on 8.0 but wondering if it's a good time upgrade to 8.5. Has all the bugs been work out.

I normally don't do a major upgrade right away since there are always weird bugs. Still rockin' 8.0 but wondering if it's ok to upgrade to 8.5 now?

Back On The Hunt

Greetings all. I ordered and received a supposedly new S24 Ultra 512 GB unlocked model from a seller on EBay. They even threw in a pair of ear buds, charger, and cable. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks, I've had the screen freeze and features like Circle To Search not working despite them being toggled on. So I've boxed it up and sent it back for a refund. I'm looking for the same model, new in the box is my first preference. Those of you that recently purchased one, where did you buy from that you would recommend?

Got tired of cases but still wanted magsafe and to get rid of the camera wobble

I 3D printed this back panel and embedded a magsafe ring. It's about the same thickness as a case and is pretty comfortable to hold.

My backglass finally shattered

I bought this phone when it first came out and I love it. I bought a shitty case for it and dropped it off the closet shelf while getting ready for work.

I have an appointment to get it fixed tomorrow and I finally get to try maintenance mode. I hope to get her good as new in no time!

What happened to this power saving mode? Does it still exist?

Does this power saving mode still exist? I cant find it. I use to use this mode to help me detox from social media and just mitigate screen time all together without having to delete apps or see the apps.

Used S24 Ultra buying guide

Im getting a 11months old s24u base for 55k inr with 1month warranty remaining in good condition ...he bought it from amazon (darshita etel)

Is it a good deal? Should i buy it?

One more question...Is there any difference or network issue with the imported S24 Ultra models compared to the Indian models?

Should I consider an imported one if I can get it at a 10k cheaper price?

Below 15percent% batterylife query

I am facing abysmal battery drain after it hits below 15% mark and the batterysaver notification pops up. Even only playing music, drains battery drastically and under 10mins it reaches to 1%(when screen locked) or rapid shutdown after 5% (if screen on).

Has anyonelse encountered such issues?

I usually charge my phone as soon as it gets near 20% so havent noticed it as much before. But still remember the last 5% draining very rapidly unlike other phones.

The 90-20 battery drain is manageable and within limits.

my usual SOT after charging is around 5 hours ,wifi ,mobile data, bluetooth on fulltime.

Anyone with a good (any) solution, is much appreciated, thanks.

Holder for phone that is shaped like a DSLR?

Hi Everyone!

I just got back from a Alaskan cruise and I took over 1000 pictures and my hand was killing me.

There is just no good way to hold these bar phones, at least for me anyway. My hand goes numb in a matter of minutes.

Does anyone make a holder with the phone would attach to and have a rounded handle with a shutter button and a zoom in/out. One that is built like the handle of a DSLR.

I thank you all for the time and I look forward to any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, or opinions. Have a wonderful evening!!

Should I keep my S24 Ultra?

I just got a Zfold 8 Fold Ultra, and I have a few days till I can trade in this for 850 dollars. Please advise. No problems, issues at all with it. Pristine and still works and looks brand new. What would you guys do? I never really used the S pen, and it just seems a bit bulky. Thanks

HELP: Pop UP

This keeps popping up on my phone, but it only happens on the Home Screen or when the phone is locked. The screenshot above is from my Lock Screen.

I’ve tried checking to see what might be triggering it, but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Can anyone help me identify what’s causing this and how to stop it?

Still on One UI 7.0 (Android 15)

People who are currently using 8.5, do you believe it's worth upgrading? Battery, performance, interface and camera as well (I was really excited for the live effects announced with 7.0, but they are so buggy, taking more than one second between photos, don't know if it was fixed later)

edit: thanks for the feedback, guys! when 7.0 was released, I sideloaded the update since it takes a longer time to arrive in Brazil, got used to it and never sideloaded again to get ota updates, so I just stayed in 7.0. but since comments were positive, maybe I'll give it a try. thanks again!

Finally got one click root working on my S24 Ultra SM-S928B / S928BXXS6DZF2 🎉

Took me way too long to figure this out, so posting what actually worked in case someone else is stuck with random reboots.

The main thing I found is this:

For this S928B build, Root My Galaxy basically only works properly through Shizuku.

I had Shizuku running before, but that alone wasn't enough. Root My Galaxy was still launching the exploit as a normal app, so it kept failing/rebooting.

So what I did:

First start Shizuku and make sure it's actually running.

Then inside Shizuku, authorize Root My Galaxy.

After that open Root My Galaxy > Settings and TURN ON Shizuku Mode.

This part is important. Just having Shizuku installed/running isn't enough, RMG itself needs Shizuku mode enabled.

Also, if you already tried rooting before, delete the old payload before trying again. This actually mattered for me.

From ADB:

adb shell rm -f /data/local/tmp/ksu-payload

Then I checked it was gone:

adb shell ls -l /data/local/tmp/ksu-payload

It should say no such file or directory.

After that I opened Root My Galaxy again, checked Shizuku was still running + RMG was authorized + Shizuku Mode was ON, ran the exploit again and... boom. KernelSU active!!!!!

Exact S928B / S928BXXS6DZF2 support PR:

Shizuku:

KernelSU:

If yours keeps rebooting, before trying again and again, check the Shizuku mode first and delete that old ksu-payload. That was basically the whole issue for me.
