Free Pizza Making in SoMa starting tomorrow
The last one went well so we’re doing it again!
We're hosting a pizza making get together and creating community this week from Tuesday June 9th to Thursday June 11th during the hours of 11:30am to 1:30pm.
We’re located at the cross streets of 5th and Harrison in San Francisco’s SOMA district at 415 5th Street, the Street Tree Nursery.
We’ll be firing up our solar powered pizza oven to bring people together over pizza. This is a great chance to meet new people, make your own pizza, and create community while enjoying lunch in San Francisco.
- Free to attend (limited space of 12 people per pizza party, per day, and RSVP requested)
- Basic Ingredients provided (pizza dough, shredded mozzarella cheese, and pizza sauce) attendees encouraged to bring additional desired toppings to share potluck style.
Please RSVP at streettreenursery@sfdpw.org and state which day and what time you would like to attend to make sure we have enough ingredients for all. (Please arrive no later then 12:30pm)
NO RSVP, NO PIZZA.

Cheese and Board Games in the Mission 12PM Today

Mahjong Night In Downtown Every Thursday
The Mahjong Department is having it's first event, come for a fun night of Mahjong and socializing!
Spots are limited, register ASAP!
Event Details:
8 TOTAL TABLES:
You can choose to rotate or stay at a table through the night!
BEGINNER FRIENDLY TABLES:
2 tables will be run as 'tutorial' tables, where we will be teaching the game
HONG KONG STYLE:
Default style will be Hong Kong style Mahjong rules, but if your table would want to run their own style, feel free to!
WEEKLY CADENCE:
The Mahjong Dept. will be running this event weekly on Thursday nights - subscribe to our calendar, and stay upto date for upcoming events!

Monday June 1, 2026: Turn Out - A Pre-Election Dance Party
We’re throwing a dance party to celebrate civic engagement. On June 1, the night before the California Primary Election, we have Beverly Chills, Everfish, and Boots. on the decks at the Faight Collective. Man without a Plan (5/28) - Chapterhouse
Hi there SF shoegaze vets.
For the last decade+ I’ve been eyeballing Chapterhouse to resurge/tour, and to my surprise they announced a headline show in SF to revisit Whirlpool 35 years on https://www.instagram.com/p/DU3kr1uDAE1/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== (gawd damn I feel old). A quintessential shoegaze staple, woefully underrated in my opinion. Of course I couldn’t deny the opportunity and snapped-up two tickets, without a thought in my head about a counterpart, as all my drone doughboys have fallen away over the years.
Show’s tonight (5/28) at August Hall
Male mid-fifties SoCal transplanted kid here, excited about experiencing this show with preferably a female counterpart (although not required) that has enough milage and seasoning to recognize the historical magic going on here. Glad to keep it plutonic, and can meet in front of the venue as comfortable/available. Hate to see this ticket go to waste, and glad to meet a local likeminded head.
