Will there be another Trial if this one fails?

Hey all,

I don't have a lot of knowledge about Biopharma.

If it for any reason fails and there is no buyout, then the stock will fall. So far so good.

But that doesn't mean that's it or? They obviously made huge progress due to patients living far longer than expected. So whatever they have right now is promising... when the results come in, can't their build upon that knowledge, tweak things and have another Trial with an improved product?

Is there a realistic scenario where there is no buyout but still retail? What would that mean for investors?

Or is it literally lights out, everyone goes home. I somehow can't imagine that as there should be ambition to keep digging.

Thanks

Should I go all-in?

Hello guys, for context, i have been looking at this stock on the MooMoo app like a hawk and I think there is so much potential upside to this.I am currently in college and it would be great if i could earn the extra cash. Was wondering if anyone else was thinking about it with the large number of catalysts coming our way. I understand that biotech companies tend to have extreme volatility… but is it really a gamble? Im curious to here your thoughts on this stock and what u would do in you were in my shoes!

The reasons why i am so bullish on this stock is the imminent phase 3 REGAL trial cataylst, where it reached 78/80 required events. This means that the final trial data could drop any min! Adding fuel to the fire, there is a buyout speculation AND high short interest and squeeze potential!!! This seems so promising for this stock dont yall think? My only main worry is that the stock has rallied quite high and i wonder if the trial has already been priced in? But from what i see on this subreddit, yall quote some cool numbers haha. So… would yall go all in? Go big or go home haha…just hope im not late to the party.

Quick question on bidding wars / buyout mechanics — how does the ticker actually react?

Hey guys,

Been digging into the GenFleet buyback news from a few days ago and tracking that June 30th PTCL study completion date that just passed. The timing on all of this is crazy. If the DD is right and the combined AML + PTCL peak revenue puts us in that $6.7B+ valuation range for an acquirer, a buyout is looking more and more like the end game here.

I'm still relatively new to biotech M&As though, so I had a quick question about how a bidding war actually plays out on the chart.

Hypothetically, if multiple big pharma companies start outbidding each other to acquire SLS, how does the share price and market cap behave on broker apps while those conditional offers are flying around?

Does the market cap on the app instantly jump to reflect the dollar amount of the highest pending bid, or does the price just fluctuate and trade close to the offer based on market volume until a deal is 100% signed and finalized?

Would love to hear from anyone who has held through similar biotech buyouts in the past.

Cheers!

Predicted buyout price?

What do we think the buyout price will be and what would this put the share price at? Also when would this be?

This is personal for me, and I'm not selling till the very end

I lost my granddad in 2006 and my father in 2020, both due to AML. So, for me, I'm staying till the very end as this one hits close to home. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of making money, I do own some shares.

But I truly hope that the drug is successful and that this company helps these people, as I've personally seen and felt what this illness does to people.

Buyout Question (taxes)

I am new to the buyout scenario.

My question is about tax liability.

Of course capital gains tax applies at the time of a “cash buyout”. However, I am curious if any other “stock buyout” possibilities are an option.

Rule: If the buyout is structured as a "tax-free reorganization" (you receive stock in the acquiring company instead of cash), your tax basis is carried over to the new shares. You do not pay taxes until you eventually sell the new acquiring company's stock.

Please forgive the ignorance, just looking for anyone with previous buyout experience.

Thank you.
