Hello tatters,

In honor of the 2 year anniversary of STRAFTAT (October 24th), I wanted to take a shot at organizing the largest tournament the community has ever had, 128 players.

Many of us enjoy the game solo, with friends, or in a weekly bracket, but I would love to go beyond that and give the whole community the opportunity to play our game together. There are already regular tournaments for both 1v1s and 2v2s, but in celebration of our game being two years old and still kicking with a consistent player base, I wanted to try to shoot for something bigger.

Hence:

- STRAFTAT: THE BIG ONE -

A 1v1 tournament aiming for 128 players of any skill level putting up their dukes and their best to find out who will seize the title of THE BIG CHAMPION. Simple as that.

A couple of words,

This is SO open to new players. I'm a new-ish player myself. While there will be a champion crowned and I expect the final bracket to be highly competitive, anyone who wants to play is SO invited. I've specifically set things up so that everyone who joins will get to play at least two matches before elimination (because one bad game into elimination sucks). So bring any and all of your friends who would have fun running and gunning.

That said, this idea is bigger than I handle by myself. Not only do we need players to play, but I'm also looking for a couple community members who want to be admins to run the bracket, one/two peeps to run the production/stream, and a co-caster to do commentary with me during the tourney. If you've run STRAFTAT tourneys before and have insight to how you could make THE BIG ONE better, please join the team and share.

Lastly, a lot of the details are still fluid and will shift with how many people are down and how down they are. But if the people want it, we can make it happen 100%.

I love this game for the player base, everyone I have in my lobbies are always super chill. We’ll chat, compliment each others shots/plays, laugh when someone hits their own claymore, you know the usual stuff. This past week though people have been really nasty. Lots of anger, shit talking, slurs and just general bad sportsmanship.

Wondering if there was a YouTuber or someone that made a video that brought some new people in. Or maybe I just got bad luck with the people who hopped into my lobbies idk, just wanted to see if this was something others have been experiencing bc it’s really sucked getting these guys in my lobbies
