My SaaS is boring but it makes $11k/month.

Everyone wants to build the next ai powered whatever and here I built a tool that helps accountants send invoices faster. There's no ai involved or a viral loop, also there's no community and It does one thing only and it does it without crashing. $11k MRR with 180 customers and average customer stays for 14 months.

The thing is boring problems don't go away, accountants will need to send invoices next year and the year after that as the market doesn't pivot. The customers don't chase trends rather they just need the thing to work. Meanwhile, I watch ai saas founders burn through runway chasing a market that changes every 6 weeks.

My invoicing tool hasn't needed a major update in 4 months and I spend maybe 12 hours a week on it now so the rest of my time is mine. Boring is underrated because nobody writes blog posts about it and nobody invites you on podcasts to talk about invoicing software but boring compounds quietly while exciting implodes loudly.

Pick the problem nobody wants to talk about. That's usually the one that pays.
