Self Storage Facility with semi truck access

Does anyone have any recommendations in the Sacramento area and even up into Placer County for a self storage facility that has driveways large enough to accommodate semi trucks?

I’m moving back to the area and need a place for movers to deliver my furniture and everything else without them charging me an arm and a leg to shuttle my stuff in on smaller trucks.

Free Medi-Cal resource in Sacramento (healthcare, housing, transportation, food, financial assistance)

Not sure if this is allowed, apologies in advance and mods please forgive me lol

I just wanted to share some info that folks may not know about.

If you have Medi-Cal, there are programs available that can provide free support (no cost to you) with things that can be really difficult to navigate on your own. Things like finding and securing housing, getting connected to financial assistance, accessing food resources, transportation, and even help navigating healthcare, including mental health and substance abuse.

Through community outreach, my goal is to raise awareness and help connect people who may qualify with this resource.

I recently helped another fellow redditor: u/Fudge-Opening get started, and figured I’d share this here in case someone else could benefit.

If you or someone you know has Medi-Cal and could use some extra help, feel free to message me. I’m happy to answer questions and see if it’s something you may qualify for.

Completely voluntary, so no pressure, not trying to sell you anything lol only sharing to make sure people know this kind of support exists.

Looking for a roommate in West Sacramento

My name is Sean (37M). I have been renting a home in West Sacramento for 15 years and I'm looking for a new housemate. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths (all bedrooms are upstairs). There is a balcony and a pretty spacious backyard. There is another tenant in the house, Daphne (24F). We're looking for someone who is clean, respectful, and responsible.

You'd get a private bedroom (15'x14') but would be sharing the bathroom with Daphne. You'd of course also have access to all the public space along with storage in one of the single car garages. Rent would be $790/month along with utilities. Would love to hear from you and see if you'd be a good fit!

Looking For Roommate

I'm a 22 year old guy. I want to move out of my parent's house and into an apartment. I want a roommate to decrease the amount of money I have to spend on rent. Im looking to move in September. I'm very chill, not weird, and looking for someone who's about the same. I don't have anyone to room with currently, so if you're interested hmu. We can meet a couple times so we can feel eachother out to see if we would be a good fit. I don't want to be complete strangers when we move in. Anyway, see ya.

Is owning a home an attainable dream?

I'm working on a local news project for CBS Sacramento with the goal of profiling some people who have been searching for the right home to buy for a year or several months now. Even better if you are a first time homebuyer. This story will be a part of an upcoming series we are working on... with this particular piece diving into the the perspective of people who are having a difficult time finding a home, keep getting outbid, can't find what they are looking for, are being priced out of the market, etc. The question is - is the dream of owning a home attainable in Sacramento? What has the process of finding a home looked like for you through the ups and downs?

If this could be you - please send me a DM. I'd love to chat about your experience to see if you can help us gain some insight for our reporting. I can send my email / contact info from DMs. Thanks! Comments help too - if you just want to share your perspective. Appreciate the help Sacramento!

Apartment Hunting - Midtown/Downtown Sac

Hello! My first reddit post (pls be nice :)

I'm going to be moving near the end of this month to Cali from Seattle for a new job. Currently looking for a 1B/1B or studio with a division of bedroom space, and wanted to see if anyone had any insight/experience with these places I'm considering or if there should be other places to consider! Yes I understand lowkey last minute given my ~< 2 week time frame (procrastinator sorry)

Non-negotionables

  • parking (ideally attached to apartment/near enough not/safe - I'll be working 4 PM-2 AM)
  • in unit washer & dryer
  • a pool (don't judge, but I've never had one in an apartment ...)

Apt Contenders:

  • Linq Midtown
  • The Press
  • The Bernice
  • Capitol Tower Luxury Midrise
  • 1801 L
  • The Mansion (I haven't seen the best reviews of this place or area :( )
  • Eviva (I know they don't have a pool but they check all other boxes)

Context: Mid 20s F, living in Capitol Hill in Seattle (seems like Midtown is the closest comparator in terms of walkability/vibes). My budget isn't really strict (ideally < $2,600/month base rent, but flexible if worth it); I will have a car for work purposes, but on my off days would like to be able to use public transpo and or walk if possible & be near things to do !

Seeking Room and Board for Single Female - Short Term

I am currently unhoused, unemployed and do not have my own vehicle. However my monthly income is $900/month and I can pay up to $200 a month for a room with access to bathroom and kitchen, or I’m willing to make other arrangements for full room and board in exchange for work with no rent. I am attending the Womens Empowerment Program in downtown and I am working with the housing authority and family Justice center to move into a section 8 studio so I am looking for something in the meantime, not permanent.
