In a 2018 interview with HOT97 he said:

Organizations such as the Crips can be auto-genocidal and even anti-black. The behavior that Nipsey described in that quote is a prime example. These groups (allegedly) start out protecting their community (I think a lot of that BS too, but I won't belabor the point here).

Then they exploit & abuse their community’s distrust of authority to create a self-serving, self-destructive wall of silence. They frequently use their oppressors' tactics against their own people. And they actively want to kill people who are just like them. Kinda crazy & sad when you think about it.
