Samsung pay not compatible with Galaxy Watch8

I was using Samsung Pay on my Watch 7 with a OnePlus 13R and it worked without any issues.

I upgraded to the Watch 8 a couple of months ago, kept the same phone, and now Samsung Pay won't open. I get the message in the screenshot saying:

“Can’t open Samsung Pay. Your watch may not be supported.”

Has anyone else had this issue with the Watch 8 and a OnePlus phone?

Since it worked on the Watch 7 with the same phone, I'm wondering if something changed with the Watch 8 or if there's a workaround. (Region:

Any help would be appreciated. (Region: India)

PSA - Unable to add an approved Authorized User of my Samsung Galaxy Card to Samsung Wallet

I applied for a Samsung Galaxy Card on 7/29 and was instantly approved. It took 8 days of haggling with the support teams for Barclays and Samsung to finally add this new card on Samsung Wallet! (I posted the details in another Reddit post. )

I decided to add P1 as an authorized user on my account. Once the additional card arrived, I activated it using the Barclays mobile app. I attempted to add it to P1 Samsung Wallet. Unfortunately, Samsung Wallet displays "this card is not valid ".

I have been engaged with both Barclays and Samsung support, but they have been useless. Here's Samsung latest response today:

"Dear Customer,

This is an update in regards to the Galaxy card for authorized user you applied through the Barclays app. Currently, authorized cards are not supported for Samsung Galaxy Card, which prevents the card from being added at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We understand how important this functionality is and appreciate your feedback. Please know that we have shared your comments with our Product Team for consideration as part of potential future improvements.

As there are currently no additional troubleshooting steps available, we will proceed with closing this case.

Thank you for your understanding. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us."

WARNING! Samsung and Barclays have not prepared their corresponding CSR teams for this product roll-out. They are still trying to figure out the deployment of this new card in the Samsung Wallet ecosystem. Be prepared to suffer through this deployment!

Samsung card for the win

Finally got my first unsecured credit card — and honestly, this feels like a huge win

I just got approved for the Samsung credit card with an $800 limit and no annual fee.

I know $800 isn't a huge credit limit to some people, but for me this is a BIG deal.

A few months ago, my credit was in rough shape. I was dealing with old derogatory accounts, missed payments, and a lot of financial decisions that I wasn't proud of.

I've been slowly changing things:

- Paying my current accounts on time

- Getting my utilization down

- Paying off old debts

- Stopping the cycle of using credit for things I couldn't really afford

- Building an emergency fund

- Avoiding unnecessary new credit

- Actually learning how credit works instead of just hoping my score would improve

I already have secured credit cards, so getting approved for an unsecured card with no annual fee feels like proof that the work is starting to show.

Is the $800 limit low? Absolutely.

Do I care? Not really. 😂

I'm looking at this as a stepping stone. I'm not trying to immediately get a $5,000 limit or open five more accounts. I'm going to use it responsibly, keep the utilization low, pay it off, and let the account age.

A few months ago I was just trying to stop the bleeding.

Now I'm actually seeing progress.

Small win, but a HUGE win for me. 🙌🏾

For anyone else rebuilding: don't let the starting limit discourage you. Sometimes the first step forward doesn't look impressive to anybody else—it just means everything to you.
