Please help! My friend’s cat got out of her apartment last night (76904 area)

Her cat Kato got out of her apartment last night (7/3) around 3 AM. She’s been looking everywhere for him throughout the neighborhood since with no luck so far. If you see him please, let me know. She’s offering a $50 reward to anyone who is able to return him! He isn't neutered or microchipped but he is very friendly so he should come to you if call his name.

She doesn’t have reddit, I’m posting on her behalf. I’ll answer any comments with more information

Deflock

This app shows where flock cameras are.

Let me start by explaining what flock cameras are. These aren't police cameras. These aren't government cameras. These aren't owned by me and you. They're owned by a private company with private servers. Watching our community under the disguise of helping protect it. Anyone with an ounce of computer knowledge can break in and watch these cameras. It's not secure at all, I'm serious. Ex husband? Crazy stalker? Anyone.

It's not my place to convince you. People can have opinions. I just ask that you check to see if your house is in line of sight for one of these cameras. It's going to be way too easy to tell when you go on vacation

Accessibility for Fireworks

Hi! We are visiting my dad next weekend and would love to see the fireworks either at the river or lake. The front desk lady at our hotel said the river would have more ramps for wheelchair uses. I have a few more questions though.

  1. Is there a park where we can just sit in a lawn chair to watch them? If so, where?
  2. How about handicap parking?
  3. How much walking is required? Estimated distances?

TIA!

Songwriter-friendly music spots in San Angelo?

Howdy folks. I'm a performer from the Austin/San Antonio area plotting out a trip through West Texas.

Do y'all have any of the following I should check out?

  • any establishments that regularly book solo acts like myself (I won't have a band with me)
  • songwriter nights
  • listening rooms
  • basically anything off the beaten path that doesn't necessarily come up when you type "live music" in Google Maps (local radio features, song swaps, folks who host and film living room shows)

Genre: singer-songwriter (folk, rock, swing) performing dynamic sets on guitar and piano. No draw out there at the moment, just looking for a paid gig and/or some opportunity to make some listener connections while I'm passing through.

Thanks!

Moving to Santa Rita area

New in town and ready to make memories! 🎊 I just moved to the San Angelo Santa Rita area with my 9-year-old twins, and we are officially on a mission to find our people.
These two are into everything: sports, games, outdoor adventures, you name it. And honestly? So am I. We don’t want to unpack boxes. we want to dive right into this community.
So tell me:
👉 What events are coming up that we absolutely cannot miss?
👉 Where do the kids hang out and have a blast?
👉 Any parent groups, neighborhood meetups, or fun traditions around here?
Bonus points if you can recommend the best local taco spot 🌮 priorities, people!
Drop your tips, say hi, ALL the good stuff.

Best Cell Phone Provider?

Hello, I’m moving there soon and I’m just wondering what the most reliable/best cell phone provider is in San Angelo. I currently have Mint Mobile but I don’t mind switching.
