CCW
It’s been a week since my references were called for my CCW Permit and I was just wondering how much is the usual wait time for the approval email after the references? TIA

Quite the age gap for a mutual combat-gone-1-tap... wonder if this is going to be another self-defense case where it's discovered the 18-year-old actually committed battery, the 32-year-old fought back barehanded, tried to break contact, but got knocked to the ground & was getting curbstomped, and fired the only shot necessary to prevent his own brain being splattered over the pavement around his corpse. Hope he has a good lawyer if he doesn't plead guilty before a coercive plea bargain is on the table.
A teenage boy was shot and killed in a fight outside a Walmart in Eastlake Tuesday night, and Chula Vista police said they arrested the alleged gunman after he contacted them.
Police were dispatched to the Walmart on Eastlake Parkway shortly after 10:30 p.m. after someone called 911 to report a shooting.
Officers found the teen suffering from a single gunshot wound in the parking lot and administered aid. He was transported to the hospital, where he died. His name has not yet been released.
After the shooting, police said the suspected shooter called 911 to report the incident and waited nearby to be contacted by officers. The man, 32-year-old Thomas Perez of Chula Vista, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is being held without bail in county jail.
According to police, Perez and the victim had been fighting when Perez pulled a holstered firearm from his waistband and shot the teen. Police did not say what prompted the fight.
Finished my range toy/ competition gun. Cerakote was a final piece of the puzzle.
Decided to see where I was allowed and not allowed to carry round my city. Apparently the complex playground right outside my front door is a no carry zone. lol
Anyone know where I can get small Glock parts? I just need an extractor plunger for a 43x and it costs more to ship it to me than the actual part from any online retailer. Never thought I’d say it… But I miss the Glockstore
Planning to go out there soon but wanted to get any advice folks might have. I've gone to indoor ranges for many years but only ever visited outdoor/rifle ranges twice and not recently (and never PSR). I read over the (mostly legible...) safety brief on the site, all makes sense and what I'd expect. Just looking for tips.
One question I have (which I'll also absolutely ask an RSO before taking anything out of my car, but wanted to ask here too): I have an ca-legal AR with a hellfighter mod, which means I cannot lock the bolt back. The safety brief specifies sections like "RIFLES MAY BE PUT IN THE RACKS WITH THE ACTIONS OPEN AND MAGAZINES OUT BEFORM 8AM" and "WHEN WE GO HOT AFTER 8AM WHEN BRINGING YOUR RIFLES TO THE LINE MAG OUT BOLT BACK" among other sections that refer to action open or bolt back. Since I can't do that, should I expect having a chamber flag (which is mentioned elsewhere under other conditions, and I do have and use), mag out, and the upper cracked via the mod to be sufficient? If not what's the expected way of dealing with this?
Thanks in advance.
Hello all, I need to reschedule my CCW sheriff's appointment, so I will be giving up my time slot at 6/1 at 10:30. Wanted to give the group a heads up if someone wants the slot!
