Should I be worried this is someone I’ve been with?

Scam

So I got this random threatening text saying I caused a “VIP client” financial loss and need to pay a fine or they’ll “send people” to my house. 😭

The funny part is they called me “Alex” when my name isn’t even Alex, . I’ve never talked to any VIP person or done anything like that.

Is this just a scam/extortion text? Has anyone else gotten messages like this?

I got a call from this number today who pretended to be from Chase Bank. What should i do?

They claimed they’re from Chase Bank, I qualified for xyz because of my credit and wanted my information(pure Indian Accent). I hung up. Who should i report this to? I’m an international student so i’m not familiar with how things work in the US. (Got to know this is very common in the US so i’ll not report it to the police)

Another Cameroon puppy scam beggar

I was trying to purchase a 11-week-old Golden Retriever. I was told deposit was $350.00 and the flight for him to be delivered was free to me due to the company having 7 vouchers available to give clients this year for free flights. Then once deposit was paid, they would send all flight information and AKC papers to me. The rest of the payment $550.00 was to be paid before the puppy was sent. I was told they only accept Apple Cash or Chime. My Apple Cash would not send so they rejected the payment and tried to request $350.00 from me through Apple Cash. My Apple Cash would not allow it to send nor Chime thankfully. I have been receiving calls from Stephon Liam today requesting money for the puppy and that he will speak to his wife to find a solution to how I can pay since I have had trouble sending the money.

(202) 413-1665 FCC "Allen Yang" Scam (?) Targeting Chinese Americans

This seems to be a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) scam targeting Chinese-speaking Americans. I don't, but my mom does, and they called me claiming that my mom (or someone with my mom's information) was in Xiamen, China and created a U.S. number (929) 319-4443 and was using it to scam Americans. The caller claimed to be "Allen Yang" (who does work for the FCC according to https://www.fcc.gov) but I don't think that's him. He seemed to expect that his victims would be Chinese-speaking because he insisted that I speak Chinese and his English didn't seem too good. This has all the signs of a scam, but he never did, said, or asked me to do anything that would get him money. If he was not in it for the money, what was the point of the scam?
