Ive been a scara main for years and just got durin, I'm currently using scara, c6 faru, c6 Bennett and Zhongli. Hopefully I can get Nicole too but I don't have her rn. I have c3 furina since ive heard her and scara work together sometimes. Also what weapon should I use on durin? The only 5 star I have is light of foliar (I'm f2p) and that's what I'm currently using

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about how people are feeling about Nicole in this subreddit after she's been fully released. Is she as amazing as the theorycrafters predicted she would be? Or is her QoL and damage improvement underwhelming in practice?

Personally, with C0R1 Durin, C2R1 Nicole with underleveled weapons and talents, my C2R0 Wanderer is doing 130k DPS. I'm pretty happy with this considering there's a lot of room for improvement that will come with more time/resin.

I came here as soon as I finished the quest so I am quite on the emotional high right now and my head is full of thoughts & theories but first things first - I loved this questline!!!

As a Scara/Wanderer fan since 2020 I am so so grateful what they did with this character - barely any playable character gets so much long term development, so I am already feeling super spoiled. I think it's safe to say he has proper deuteragonist status, he is involved with many important factions (the fatui, the archons, the abyss???) and gets actual heart to heart moments with the Traveler and also Paimon.

Now let me pre-phrase this by saying that I do like other characters as well - for example I am also super invested in Venti, Kaeya, Rhinedottir and Ei - so I still have lots to look forward to in future story patches.

But I do wonder... with Dottore gone, will we see Scara again in the following Archon Quests? What if he truly just focuses on his studies for the rest of the game lol? I feel a bit ridiculous typing this because as I said, so far I've been spoiled :D But that's probably what made me greedy...

But also without my obvious bias it feels like there's something still missing to end his arc... I guess I just really wanna see him interact with Ei again. Scara still sees himself as useless and expendable, and even if Ei does not remember him... I think a reunion should happen. What do you guys think? Do you think we can count on him appearing again? In Snezhnaya or Khaenri'ah even? I'd love some hopium right now

I am asking about this because I want to use my zhongli for my Neuvi team in spiral and would rather use a shielder like Nicole in my scara team for more reaction focused teams. As far as i have heard, Nicole could be viable even if scara isnt a hexerei character, but i wanted to know about what my team comp and rotation should be if i do pull and invest in her.

Hi everyone, I have Scara C6 and I'd like to improve the repeated use of his N3D combo, but I don't know the best time to cancel the attack animations with the dash.

How do you guys do it?

Additional info: I have him with DPC and without his weapon.

We can safely conclude that each stellar reaction will bring about a lineup of buffs for select characters

Wanderer I feel is a strong contender for this lineup, not even looking at his previous harbinger status, his of his PHEC buffs Cryo is definitely one of his best

And yes this is pending Stellar Swirl’s existence but all things considered there’s definitely a strong lead

so much missed opportunities, so much potential storylines and actual redemption arc.. his backstory, the fatui… all those extremely meaningful and important relations just to be all gone and forgotten without a trace.

an actual disgrace to such an amazing character. and don’t get me started with all that “hat guy” bs. I feel like he’s just been downgraded so much and reduced to just some…guy? the same guy that had so much influence in the past? what was it all for? what was the point?

(SPOILERS FOR 6.6 ARCHON QUEST)

I was sincerely hoping that the erasure would be undone after this quest and he could finally be remembered again, only for that not to happen.. I was practically BEGGING Dottore to restore all the erased memories too.. but kind of as expected though. and this made me realize that I would’ve enjoyed his story and character so much better if the erasure didn’t even happen in the first place. like I said, such an intriguing character with so much potential and complex relationships, only for that to be all gone. its just…so sad.

And speaking of the 6.6 quest, can i just say that this was lowkey such a nothingburger quest? They’ve been hyping this up for 4 freaking years and it was pretty much the same as any other quest. There were 0 consequences to burning the irminsul, the erased memories wasnt restored…just like, what was the whole point? I thought this quest was gonna be big. Impactful. THE irminsul burning is a HUGE deal. But nope, just another all is well ending. No consequences, no major impact to the story, nothing. It was a huge letdown.

The fatui hq sub is annoying as hell, but honestly I can’t blame them at all. I even agree with some of their points. after dottore’s death, I dont find myself hyped up for Snezhnaya anymore. why? because hoyo CANT TAKE RISKS. They dont have the guts to kill off a playable character or show any major consequences to the overall story. the fatui is down to like 4 members and they have been recently been portrayed as quite tame, etc. I can go on about this but I’ll stop here.

anyways, back to scara

idk, I just can’t enjoy his character as much anymore and that genuinely pains me to say it. i almost tear up to old quests of him as scaramouche, back when he was remembered and a compelling character. the character that got me into the game in the first place. Now he’s literally just some guy. All his previous scenes as scaramouche, ultimately meaningless. Don’t get me wrong, hes a beautifully written character and I love his development. But this is exactly my issue.. why would they write such a well written character, only for that same character to not matter at all in the long run and make him forgotten?

yes, he does appear a lot and he’s still very much more relevant character but it just doesnt hit the same anymore when I think of all the different ways his character couldve been…confrontation with Ei? Earning the trust of the sumeru citizens? His reunion with the fatui members and hearing their thoughts about him? all these potential storyline possibilities and further exploration of his character, all gone.
