Difference between the e tech 60kwh and 87kwh versions?

Last weekend I had a testdrive with the scenic e tech with the larger battery, and the higher horsepower (220pk). I can opt for a company car, but they communicsted wrongly and the version I can lease is the smaller battery one.

What are the main differences? And will the drop to 170pk noticeable? I get that difference in travel range will be impacted. I'm more interested in the power I'd be giving up.

Is the smaller one worth getting?

Thanks for the feedback!

Loss of power

2024 Scenic E-Tech Iconic. The car will occasionally lose power - driving along normally, then slows down and doesn't respond to the accelerator. If I ease off the pedal and just wait a few seconds, it responds again but will then often do it again. Stopping and restarting gets it back to normal. It doesn't happen often (maybe twice in the last month) but it's a nuisance and displeases the person behind who probably thinks I'm a dick for slowing down then speeding off, then repeating. Has anyone else experienced this?

Assisted Driving Feature

I’m trying to work out if this is an annoying feature, a bug, or something wrong with the car.

When I use the assisted drive feature on the motorway, it’s happy when there is another vehicle in the same lane it can see. It will do what you expect it to do all day long.

When it doesn’t have a vehicle it can see in the same lane, it randomly panics every few minutes, the horizontal green line goes grey, rapidly approaches the front of the car on the screen, and the car brakes heavily. Half a second later it will decide all is fine, grey horizontal line goes green again, and will return to cruising speed.

Just me? What does the horizontal line colour signify? The LiDAR under the bumper misbehaving or something else?

Renault Scenic Etech - Charging flap replacement

Hi everyone,

My charging flap has snapped at the plastic hinge due to someone walking into it while on charge. I thought this would be an easy fix but I’ve been quoted jut over £1000 including labour to change the hinge. This is due to 6 hours labour being required as the battery may have to be isolated prior to fixing.

Has this happened to anyone else before? It doesn’t sound reasonable to me. Picture of where its snapped

UK - Renault Scenic Techno esprit Alpine

Hi all,

been lurking on these forums for a few weeks now since I went to our local Renault dealer to look at the Renault 4. Was sure this was the car for us (family of 5) after reading the reviews. However, that plan was kayboshed when I struggled to get in the thing (6ft, 17 stone, stiff back) and the kids complained about leg space in the back.

The had a Renault Scenic Techno esprit Alpine in white, brand new, that had just arrived. We sat in that and what a difference. Plenty rear space. No trouble getting in and out. A lot more money.

So came home and started reading the reviews, lurking here, and am pretty certain we'll go for a Scenic. Have seen some second hand ones from £29.995 2025 ones down to £26,995 for a 2024. Will likely be an outright purchase and I tend to drive cars until they need scrapping so not looking at PCP or PCH options

Have had some correspondence with a Renault dealer and they seem a bit confused, as I am, on any differences between a 2024 model and a 2025 model (is the term MY24, MY25, MY 26 in Renault speak?).

I've downloaded the manuals from Renault for each year which seem to indicate that true One Pedal driving (the one that brings you to a complete stop) is available on all years' models. Reading this forum makes me think that's not the case. Could a 2024 UK model support true One Pedal driving without having to touch the brake? Was only considering the 2025 model initially due to OPD. Are there any other differences to be aware of? Any differences between a 25 and a 75 plate in terms of features. I see that the 7x plates run across two years (Sep-Feb) so I'm not even too sure if I can tell the year of the car from just the reg.

They also have some with the matt paint which I believe is (or was) the more expensive option. I'm put off by the claims of scratches and damage from bird poo associated with matt paint. Anyone with a matt paint scenic able to tell me not to worry? Have seen a few matt paint cars going around, not Renault, and I'm not sure I like the look anyway.

I'd have loved a Iconic for the cameras and sunroof option, but more money and not too many of them around.

The dealer is also offering to supply an Anderson Quartz charger, fitted, for about a grand. Anyone have experience of these? Good? Bad? Indifferent. I've worked out I'll need a 6.5m cable to reach the parking space and also will need a pavement gully fitted.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Top of my shoe is catching on the plastic trim above the brake pedal...

Drove a Secnic today on a test drive. All very nice except for the fact that the end / top of my shoe kept catching the top of the plastic trim above the brake pedal. No issue on the accelerator, just the brake.

It seems like such a minor issue but I genuinely think it could be dangerous if I can't brake in an emergency. It's enough to put me off...

Anyone else had this issue and have a solution?

I've moved the seat around but no luck.

Mechanische Qualität/Erfahrungen

Hallo zusammen,

Danke
