Application for Schengen Visa for Spain aside from BLS

I am trying to book an appointment on BLS but the earliest I can book is July 15, 2026 (no slots available 'til July 14). I wonder if there are other options or any workaround so I start my application between May and June.

VISA FOR SPAIN IS APPROVED!! I JUST HAVE A QUESTION

Hi Guys!

My spanish tourist visa got approved! I originally requested 30 days (July 18-Aug 16) but they gave me 90 days!

with that, i was think i can come a few weeks early and extend a few more week.

My concern is, my carta de inventacion says July 18-Aug 16, as well as my insurance.

Does immigration really check those? Do i need to amend my insurance? I got from pacific cross is that possible?

For carta, i was thinking booking a cancellable accommodation instead to make it less hassle for us to get a new one.

Greece Visa Refused Twice.

Hey everyone, I’ve now had two Greek Schengen Tourist visa applications refused through VFS Manila, and I’m planning to reapply again.

For context, I will be fully sponsored by my partner (who has PR in Portugal) and we’re supposed to fly together this May. Affidavit was notarized here in Manila kasi we’re together plus he has properties + bank accounts here.

Reasons for refusal are 3 (not enough proof of financial means) and 10 (justification for the purpose of stay was not reliable). We addressed this already sa 2nd application (with his bank certificates clearly stating my name too and outlined our itinerary in Portugal) but still refused.

Profile:
- employed at telco company
- travel history: Singapore, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan
- savings at 88k pesos but partner has 12k euros
- submitted documents: cover letter, COE, LOA, ITR, payslips, bank cert + SOA, condo rental contract, birth cert, prev visas + stamps
- partner documents: bank cert + SOA, notarized affidavit of support, invitation letter, utility bills from properties here in Manila & Portugal

I made sure to have complete documents, both from me and my partner/sponsor. He has enough money to cover the requested 16 days. So not sure how to address these for the next application.

Would really appreciate your insights; hoping third time’s the charm 🤞

Visiting Visa + Working Remotely

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for a Schengen short-stay visit visa to visit my boyfriend in Sweden for around 60 days, and I have a few questions regarding remote work and supporting documents.

My ties to the Philippines:
- Full-time remote work based in the Philippines (I can provide COE, ITR, payslips, etc.)
- A business registered in the Philippines (DTI, COR, Business Permit available)
- A vehicle registered under my name
- Previous travel history in Asia

Additional context:
- I will be staying at my boyfriend’s house during the trip
- The trip will mainly be sponsored by him
- I still intend to manage/work remotely for my Philippine-based work/business while staying there

My questions are:

  1. Since I plan to stay for 60 days, will the embassy question my employment situation if I continue working remotely while in Sweden?
  2. If I only file around 7 days of formal leave from work, does that need to be stated in the COE?
  3. Should my COE include my intended travel dates?
  4. Is it better to mention remote work directly in the application, or just present it as proof of strong ties and income in the Philippines?
  5. Has anyone here applied for a Sweden visit visa while working remotely/self-employed? How did you present your documents?
  6. Since my boyfriend will sponsor my accommodation and expenses, what financial documents from him are usually strongest for approval?
  7. Are there any red flags with a 60-day stay for a first Sweden/Schengen visa application?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has gone through a similar situation, especially Filipinos who applied for Sweden or Schengen visas while employed remotely.

Thank you!

Has anyone here successfully transited through the UK without a visa while holding a standard-format Type D visa issued by an EEA country? or maybe even using their EEA country residence permit?

BLS Spain Schengen Visa

Hi! For those who applied for a Schengen visa through Spain and had their biometrics done at BLS Manila, did you receive an email confirming that your application was submitted to the embassy?
I only received one email on the day of my biometrics (May 14), and it was just for the payment confirmation. Nothing else after that.

Transiting through another EU member state?

Hi po! I'm selecting the most economical flights going to Sweden and the best one is transiting through Madrid and it's a self transfer. Would this technically be considered as the country of entry kasi I've checked that for self transfer you would need to go through immigration so you'll be going "out" of the airport.

Hindi po ba questionin ni Madrid IO my Visa issued by Sweden? Maraming salamat po sa sasagot!

Italy Visa Timeline

Hi! I know it’s impossible to determine the results from timeline alone (actually, it’s impossible to determine the results until receipt of passport. period). However, I’m super anxious because I won’t be able to get my passport immediately. With that, have you noticed any pattern whatsoever that somehow or slightly determined the results? Thanks huhu!

Here’s my timeline:
May 4 - appointment
May 5 - dispatched to the embassy of italy for processing
May 12 - ready for pick up

Thanks guys!

QUESTIONS REGARDING SCHENGEN VISA APPLICATION

Hi everyone! I’m currently planning a trip to the UK this July-Aug, and I’ve decided to add a sidetrip to Switzerland (which will be my main destination in the Schengen area). I’ll be applying for a Swiss Schengen visa here in the PH.

I have a few specific questions regarding the requirements. Hope those who recently applied can help!

  • Application Form: Is the online form different from what VFS asks you to fill out when booking an appointment?
  • Passport Photocopies: Aside from the bio page, do I need to submit copies of all my stamps? I have valid/previous visas for the US, Canada, Japan, and my UK e-visa. Should I include all of those?
  • Flight Reservations: Where do you usually get "visa-only" flight reservations? Is it better to just book a fully refundable flight, or are there reliable sites for dummy tickets that the Swiss Embassy accepts?
  • Financial Means (Digital Banks): Most of my funds are in Maya, BanKo, and MariBank. I don’t keep much in traditional banks. Does the Swiss Embassy accept Bank Certificates and Statements from these digital banks? Do they need to be "wet signed," or is the digital generated copy enough?
  • Proof of Assets: I recently bought land and have the Transfer Certificate of Title (TCT). I also have a car. Is it worth including the TCT and OR/CR to prove deep ties?
  • COE & Leave Dates: The official checklist says the COE should mention "approved leave dates." My company COE is very templated and doesn't usually include specific dates. How strict are they with this?

Salamat po in advance

Fast decision!

Hello! Does it have meaning that they actioned/ decided on your application fast? I applied for a Tourist Schengen visa last week Friday (for Greece) and I received a message earlier today (Tuesday) that my passport is ready for pickup.

Is it usually this fast? Does that mean my visa got denied outright? Or it doesn’t have any impact? Im just a bit anxious!

Spain tourist visa with bf sponsorship - what to expect?

Makakatulong ba sa case namin na nagkita na kami for a week in Japan last year at mag vi-visit sya ng 1 week sa Pinas? kaso dahil sa schedule nya sa work, first week of June na sya makakapunta. Naka lagay din ito sa cover letter nya. Balak namin sabihin na sabay na kami ng flight sa Spain kung papalarin kami

Yung employment ko din worried ako. Feb ako nag resign sa company then I declared na from March nag work na ako sa family business.
