PDX Scene

Does anyone have any insight into the scene in PDX? I want to check out more shows but have heard some rumors about bands being boycotted and that some shows may not be safe. Any bands or venues to avoid?

I poorly made some Alesana merch

I was Inspired by someone I saw on Instagram who makes some really awesome custom screamo and hardcore merch (@iblamepres he makes some insane stuff) and tried to make some of my own. I do digital art so I figured, how hard could it be? The answer: very!!! Bleach is a bitch to work with. Not nearly as cool as the stuff preston makes but it took me like 6 hours so i wanted to share it with someone, lol. Yes it’s covered in cat hair, I had an assistant helping me against my will for the entire process.

Lost media: the Circle Takes The Square " Unreleased Song"

Hello, I found this video a few years ago on YouTube. It's an unreleased CTTS song, recorded live. The quality is poor, but the band is perfectly recognizable. I found ZERO trace of this song — no mention of it, nothing at all about it, no year. The channel provides no information. Just this one video.

Circle Takes The Square will always be, I think, my favorite band of all time. I'm currently trying to remix the sound as best I can, to be able to "appreciate" this mysterious track.

I don't want to use AI. (and I don't think it could do much anyway) However, an AI did manage to separate the different instruments for me. I have a bass track, drums, guitar, and "vocals" [almost inaudible] on which I've applied some EQ, compression, etc. It's far from perfect, and it never will be, but I think it's pretty cool so far compared to the YouTube video. I'm currently recreating the drum part, but some moments are above my skill level, particularly the chaotic parts haha (I used a trigger that gave me some basics, and I'm editing by hand from there).

Would any skilled people be interested in helping me finish transcribing the drums? Any tips for salvaging the sound? Or any information about this track?

(TW: SA TOPIC) did the singer of phoenix bodies SA a woman..?

before you start flaming me, im just saying what i saw.

i was watching the dvd on my tv of the band performing live at dudefest 2004 and at around 10 minutes in the singer is completely naked and he grabbed a womans head and kissed her and her face was completely straight and she didnt smile at all.. it really sucks because phoenix bodies are one of my favorite bands in screamo/emoviolence/grindcore ish music stuff, i cant show the video here because im scared i will get reported and its gross but its probably on youtube

Heavy skramzgrind or kittencore recommendations

I've been DYING to find more bands similar to Tears of Avarel and Shallows and Flats. Believe me, I saw many different lists and I found some incredible bands already but none quite scratched that itch.

I want the most heavy and unhinged skramz, skramzgrind or kittencore/chickenviolence. I'm quite familiar with the more popular entries so feel free to give me more obscure releases, pretty please
