Was in Berlin for a work trip so decided to go take a look at Berghain, as I loved the Search Engine episode.

The queue was not too long, but I assume that’s cause it was a Sunday night and still early (9:30pm). I knew there was no way my friend and I were getting in so I just walked around the queue to look at the process of how the doorman evaluated potential guests and see how many people were let in vs rejected. As I got closer, 2 girls walked past and I overheard them say “Well that was a quick no”. As soon as I heard that, I got excited to watch the process. I stood about 100 m away from the door and within no more than 5 sec, the doorman clocked me and shouted out “Can you move a long please? Goodnight” [EDIT TO ADD: I shouted “Night!” back and hightailed it out of there]

That was the extent of my Berghain experience and it was fun!
