Sekiro Genichiro fight(need help)

I started playing sekiro 2 weeks ago, now I'm at Genichiro boss fight I need tips to defeat him

Quick update I managed to defeat him in 2phases at a great cost of healing but the 3rd phase, idk any of his moves and got heavily injured by his first kick(I jus read we have to mikiri it) btw going for another round thnx for all of ur suggestion (round 5)

Just beat Demon of Hatred

Felt good, screamed FUCKING GET SOME at the top of my lungs after it. Took me about a week or so to get it right. Forgot how to fight Genichiro for a bit, but got him and damn...Isshin's got some hands man. Happy enough tonight with having beaten the Demon of Hatred. Saw the Cheese, embarrassed to say that I tried it once or twice and it was just too dang tricky. Besides...I owed it to myself and someone else to do it the right way.
