Dermal size?

Hi, people that know a lot about piercings does anyone know what size dermals these are? I think i remember getting them done and they weren’t the smallest size option nor the biggest one. I don’t know a lot about the sizes but I wanna know fs what it is so I can purchase online some new jewelry.

Do i have the anatomy for a floating navel piercing?

Hello, I’m planning to get a floating navel piercing, however i’m not certain about how well my anatomy would support one, the way my belly button connects is a bit odd as the top section haa a little bulge/droop. My belly doesn’t really fold that much unless I’m slouching hard. Please help😭

Would a vertical labret look good?

I feel like I have weird shaped lips, so I was just wondering if a vertical labret would look good

What to add

My birthday is coming up and I'm planning on getting some more ear piercings, I have 10mm lobes and retired seconds because they were too close, one friend of mine suggested a double helix, but I want more options and opinions

is my nostril pierced correctly?

I got my nostril pierced today.
A threadless titanium labret with a 3.5 mm post was used.
I’m using saline solution for aftercare.
Could you please advise on the angle—was the piercing done correctly?
It looks fine from the outside, but it looks a bit weird from the inside

A friend of a friend is gonna pierce me..

Heyhey! So I live in a pretty strict household and I also don’t got too much money so I’ll be having a person I know do my septum (they’re not a professional piercer, they do this as a side gig) and I’m kinda scared but also excited. Anyhow I got a few questions!

  1. I will need to hide it at times and I have a friend that just flips it inside their nostrils and have been doing so ever since they got it 2 months ago and nothing’s wrong but I also read online that can cause it to heal flipped?? Idk is that a thing can it happen?
  2. I’ve looked this up a lot but I wanted to ask here as well: as someone with really really really low pain tolerance what would the pain level be?
  3. Where should I buy the jewellery from?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for answering to those who will! ^^

Update: Im scared lol

So I am out of room in the back for swelling but ad you can see there is so bar space in the front. I am worried about the swelling...is this going to give me cauliflower ear? :( The doctor gave me a course of twice a day cefadroxil 500mg even though I don't think it is infected. Better safe then sorry.

It does hurt but taking 300mg ibuprofen every few hours keeps that at bay.

If you're going to take the risk of self-piercing...

You're already saving a ton of money from being pierced in a shop-- you MUST buy properly sterilized needles and tapers from a reputable company. You MUST use titanium or real gold jewelry. Sterilize your environment properly.

Mystery needles from Amazon are not safe. Surgical steel is not implant grade or safe for healing piercings.

Use correct aftercare. Look at APP guidelines and other piercers' advice about anatomy/placement/max piercings per session or area.

I think self piercing is awesome, but it also has the potential to give you a horrible infection that will cost significantly more to treat than a professional piercing would have.

There's a reason why actual professionals never use stainless/surgical steel in piercings, why they don't do 12 tongue piercings in one session, why they have autoclaves and don't reuse needles.

This isn't 1980--you have a wealth of useful info online!! Do test piercings on different materials and _do not reuse the needles_.

Swelling 11 days in like this?

Okay so I did this helix myself 11 days ago and up until 2 days ago I was really pleased with how fast it looked like it was healing. I had very minimal swelling after the piercing. Fast forward to 2 1/2 days ago and the jewel and the front was rubbing the front of my lobe so I pushed it back a bit because I had all this room. It possible I irritated it in other ways but either way it looks like this this morning. It isn't hurting right now but you can see the swelling and it feels like its my whole ear and not just the piercing site. Its not draining anything and as you can see it isn't crazy red either. Do I just leave it alone ? Does it look infected? Really if it wasnt my whole ear I wouldn't even be making this post lol

central lower labret for someone who only has experience with lobes and nostril, yay or nay?

I’m pretty confident but my sister thinks it’s too risky. I figured I’d ask others who have experience with self-piercing. I know there’s always a risk, but I don’t think is gonna be a major one for me as long as I’m careful. But maybe there’s something I don’t know? What do you guys think?

Advice piercing story

DV/SA survivor. I hope I’m in the right place. I am still learning here. I have some questions. It has to be this ear only. One of piercings is still healing. I would like to re-design all styles and possibility adding new piercings (maybe daith?) to represent symbolize, placement or story just like some people with tattoos. (No tattoo for me). I prefer gold. I am open to your discussions. Please be kind. 💜💚

Does my anatomy look right for a belly button piercing?

I've tried piercing before but I don't think I went deep enough so it ended up needing to be taken out bc it was rejecting. Idk if it was just the depth that was the problem or my anatomy itself

(First pic is standing second is standing.)

Do you think these are gonna reject?

The last one was done two months ago and any of them hasn’t changed its place since they were done but, as you can see, the ones on the sides are done a bit shallow i think. Do you think they’re gonna reject within time?
well another issue is one of them got visibly irritated from wearing fishnets (the ball got trapped) but i already had it happen, and the irritation disappeared in a week

Piercing my second and third lobe at home?

hey y’all! So I am trying to pierce my second and third lobe and I’m just wondering what supplies I would need. I already went on Amazon to purchase a piercing kit. I looked at the safety warnings and it all looks good. Now I’m just more so looking for advice on how to pierce it with a needle without infection or any safety issues. Any advice would be helpful and let me know if there’s anything extra I should know before piercing. and comment if you have any advice have a great day.
