Cannot believe I officially pulled the trigger on a Selkie dress for my wedding! I love this new Ivory Organdy Symphony dress + Chantilly corset combo so much I added it to cart as soon I saw them worn together. It has all the bells and whistles I was looking for. The lace. The layers. The off shoulder/ sleeve. I even love the slit!!

hello!! my birthday is in a week and a guy im dating is taking me out for a whole fun evening of dinner etc. I have wanted this for a long time but ive been worried about the cup sizing. I'm considering it a gift to myself as a birthday + one year in my new job/ new city. based on my VS bra I just got that fits well its a 38DDD (though it is starting to stretch out bc... you know.... VS is good for a few washes until its not). I have one other selkie dress (long gown from about 5 years ago with no corsetry). I am normally anywhere between a 14-18.
Could anyone provide me some insight? I'm thinking based off of cup sizes an XXL would be fine, especially with the corset in the back.

I pre ordered the My Beloved gown at the beginning of June for my wedding in October! I haven’t found many pictures of this dress out there so hopefully this post can help someone out down the road.
First off, I was nervous about ordering my wedding dress online like one usually is. But I had a very clear vision of what I wanted the dress to look like and this one is 10/10. Looks like the photos on the website, nothing surprised me in a negative way.
I am 5’ 6”, weight about 180 lbs, and wear a 38C. My bust measurement is 40” which, according to the size chart (39-41”), meant I would be a size L. I’m also a size L in all my other casual dress size so I thought L would be the best fit. While it fits perfectly in terms of cup size and where the sleeves are, the zipper would not close. So I’m going to have to get a corset conversion but honestly, if that’s the only alteration needed for my wedding dress, I can’t complain. Plus it needs to be steamed so maybe they can do that too… there’s so many layers! But if you’re nervous about sizing, please consider this.
Everything else about this dress is just stunning! If you’re looking at getting this one, you already know why you love it! The material is so comfortable, nothing is scratchy, it’s surprisingly breathable. It does have some weight but it will be easy to dance in all night! The train is crazy in a good way! It is definitely a statement length but the fabric is light and flowy and lays out beautifully. It creates a round shape in the back and will photograph nicely. I included a picture of the bustle buttons as well. They don’t feel super secure but I’m hoping with so many of them that the weight will be distributed more lightly on each.

And it doesn't fit properly... I need to add a corset back 😂😭😋 Love the cotton fabric. Super breezy and sheer. Easy to steam.
It’s been worn once, been in the original garment bag otherwise so could use a good steam to get the wrinkles out from being in my closet.
