I FINNALY found my perfect selvedge jeans for me.. SO HAPPY.

I love the fit. Amazing!!! I did not think I would like Naked and Famous. I had mixed reactions to Japan Blue, Flat Head, Levi selvedge jeans. But these knocked it out of the park.. LOVE... FYI, had to take pic in daughters room.

NJD! Naked & Famous MIJ19

NJD. New Jeans 👖 Day! I was counting the minutes until the FedEx truck arrived today. These are the new Naked & Famous #MIJ19 (made in Japan, 19th release).

I’m really loving the color on these. All my other Selvedge denim is either dark indigo or black. I really like those, too, but I’m super stoked to have this new color going into fall. The 11.5oz is a great weight for 3 seasons - spring, summer, and fall. It’s heavy enough for you to feel the quality and comfort without being so heavy that you overheat quickly. Be sure to check out the last picture of this set for a Mother Nature blooper.

One other reason I’m excited for these jeans 👖 is because this is the first pair of size 42’s I’ve fit in since my wedding 18+ years ago. This pair of jeans fits me absolutely perfectly.

I had a milestone weigh-in today. I’m down 160lbs since January 2025!

Fit check: iron heart CPO

Just want some input on sizing for this indigo CPO I got yesterday. First CPO so little curious on proper sizing. Debating if I should size down in this one.

Budget-friendly Uniqlo Straight Selvedge

2.5 years. 200-ish wears. Many washes.

Posted this here not too long ago, but thought I could do a better job showcasing the fades a little more up close.

These were my first ever pair of selvedge denim, and I think I've been spoiled by the price-to-value of uniqlo straight selvedge.

Unfortunately, uniqlo are not currently selling this model, and their current selvedge jeans do not feel as good to me.

I've gotten 2 pairs of copper denim jeans from Vietnam, one straight and one relaxed, and i can't wait to wear them in over time.

First denim jacket; does it fit? - Freewheelers Type 1 1941

Recently ordered myself a type 1. I usually like to try garments on in-store to ensure a good fit but I couldn't make it to London to do so in this instance.

From pictures alone, does this jacket appear to fit me?

Used tea dyed sashiko to add some flair to my jeans

My first ever sashiko project, not to mend anything but just add some personality to my jeans. I love tea and didn't want a stark white on my jeans so dyeing the thread in some tea was the perfect solution.

The pattern was drafted by my wife, meant to look like the refraction of sunlight in water. We spent an amazing day in a completely isolated beach in Japan collecting seashells so I love that the memory of that day is immortalized in my jeans now.

Jeans are omoto denim jeans after a wash, so I think it still has plenty of indigo to lose. For those here who have done similar projects, will the thread eventually take on a blue colour? I sure hope they do.

Levis 501 Selvedge Turquoise rivets

Without a doubt, the turquoise detail on the rivets is one of my favorite details of all my jeans and the cut is great. I usually don't like jeans that are so worn or with a lot of patch work anymore, but I loved these. The denim feels very good and the fit is good

Is this length better?

Custome selvedge denim makers

I want to order a custom pair of selvedge denim and I was wondering if there are any good places or websites to go to to make custom jeans

Rainbow Weft | Balloon Cut | Custom Top

So I made this balloon cut for my daughter who liked my jeans but wanted a more contemporary looking jeans. Or in her word not old mens jeans 🤣🤷🏽

So unlike traditional jeans these dont have yokes to hug the curve of the bottoms. Here I used darts to shape both front and back.

13.5oz Selvedge, red id, 6+7*7 slub, RAW and Sanforized

Unique (maybe) to my built:
- pockets have a double layer lining to cath the mechanical forces of objects (keys) in your pockets. Two layers = no more holes in your pockets. Its better than one thick layer fabric.

- beltloops tucked in and corded (2mm cotton cord)

- Keychain Loop

- A mule ear back pocket. No arcuate stitching but a single stitch X-over-run

- double cuff

- Ghost Patch (you see the stitching where the brand patch should be) the actual brand patch is on the inside. As my opinion is: “materials & craft over logo’s”.

For this jeans I made a custom top as well so now its a fit.
The top is inspired on a dungarees closing. So side closure and adjustable straps.

pbj tea core TCD-019-BR

picked these up last weekend. Pure Blue Japan tea core with brown weft in their 019 fit.

sizing was a little wild on these, as 34s measure in at 35 inches and their 36 measure in at 38”. I opted for the larger size and ran them in a hot wash, and a tumble dry on high heat. got the perfect amount of shrinkage (36.5” waist). make sure to turn inside-out, and if possible stuff the legs for the dry cycle with some other clothes to prevent hard creases.

Looking forward to breaking these in. The yarn core will expose over time and the fades will be a copper brown colour.

I’ll post progress pics as these continue to fade.

Rainbow weft - Straight cut - Relaxt fit - Custom Belt

On request of my walllet here is the jeans:….

- asymmetric pockets, one has a mule ear the other does not. No arcuate stitching but a single stitch X-over-run

- double hem (I like the weight pulling on the legs)

- Ghost Patch (you see the stitching where the brand patch should be) the actual brand patch is on the inside. As my opinion is: “materials & craft over logo’s”.

For this jeans I made 2 custom belts:
Both from 3.6-3.8 mm thick full grain leather (cut from the back not the belly)

The one is a sectioned belt with weird fuchsia edge paint.
The other is a studded belt with angry smurf edge paint

The boots are not made by me. The makers are called “By The Mountain” a local bootmaker here in Portugal.
They are made from burel (wool) and GYW constructed, I just bought them because they look nice with the rainbow weft.

I also made a more modern rainbow jeans for my daughter with a balloon 🎈fit. Will post that later.

I hope you enjoy🤷🏽

Could crotch folding have anything to do with a thicker material?

I have these samurai jeans that are 15 ounces, which I know isn’t crazy heavy. But they still are pretty stiff and not broken in. I get those lines around my crotch. The waist fits well but I don’t think I can pull these down any further without my pubic region starting to show, lol. It’s irritating because I can tell these are going to be good faders, and they would look amazing without that one issue

Most recommendations I see about this issue are that they are pulled up too high for the rise, but I’ve got these as low as I can get them.
