I have both subscriptions (Serato Pro and Beatport). If I click "Log In" Button the Webpage opens and I am logged in on the website, but the beatport library is empty. Does somebody know why?

i had a major issue yesterday, i own a numark mixdeck quad i've been playing it using serato dj pro for about 9 months, never had any issues, but yesterday (at a gig 😭)

the controler stopped inputing the midi commands. The computer reads the controler, the drivers are up to date, i swapped cables, even the serato dj pro app shows that the controler is connected, but when i try to interact with the controler, nothing happens.

I tried to download older versions of serato dj pro and lite but the problem persists. If anyone is having a similar issue or can help me it would be much appreciated

So I’ve got a couple experimental electronic DJ sets coming up this month, a good umbrella term for the mixes would be “hyperpop.” I’m using a DDJFLX4.

I’m having trouble because Serato doesn’t seem to be great at getting the BPM down on songs like this, granted the BPM does shift often in some of these songs.

Does anyone have any experience DJing hyperpop on Serato? Or any tips? I’m trying the tap to BPM feature but it doesn’t seem to be super accurate either, maybe that’s just me?

New Serato user but not dj and I'm looking to replicate a feature from Rekordbox to make up for my piss poor timing when bashing hit cues.

Whenever I would launch a hot cue in rekordbox quantization would keep it locked so that it plays on beat. This was great because my timing was terrible. I cant seem to find that feature in Serato.

Does it have it.

Hey all sorry for the newbie question but, I just got my first "real" 12" turntable a few days ago (first one was a Numark PT-01 Scratch). Edit: Should include that I'm fully set up on Serato as well, and I'm scratching on the 12" control record. One thing I've noticed is, I have the torque turned up all the way but samples still have a short "wind-up" period where they start slow and go up to speed. As I've been developing technique I've been giving what in my mind I've been calling a "helper push" to push it up to speed quicker when I need it. Is this a normal thing at high torque? Or should the sample go straight-away at full speed with no wind-up period? Do regular DJ's give that little "helper push" to it to get it up to speed without the wind-up when scratching?

Hoping to hear this is normal and not a problem with the turntable's torque, it's an SL-1200 and the torque is supposed to be great on these - not sure if samples should just jump right in at full speed or if it's normal to have that short "ramping up" period where they go from slow to normal.

Edit #2: Honestly thank you so much for all the feedback, I'm also starting to wonder about slipmats - I'm using the original technics slipmat with the plastic slip sheet but I ordered some Dr. Suziki's today - will see how those turn out. Double checked that the torque was at the highest setting yesterday as well. Will see how the new slipmats work out.

Now I know there's better serato controllers out there but I think for the money and features it's very under rated. Especially s it can be picked up second hand for a couple of hundred quid.

So just some background. I used to DJ for years on vinyl, then CDs, then Ableton then back to usb sticks before life getting on the way and I gave up on the hobby.

I recently over the course of a year or two got a vinyl setup going again but wanted a standalone unit to play MP3 files.

I opted for the demon mcx8000 because I could run my turntables through em and it was cheap (400 euros)

I didn't use engine software with it, I just loaded up a usb, plugged it in and beatmatched manually. It's been fantastic and did exactly what I wanted.

Fast forward to a few months ago and a friend of mine asked me to DJ a few gigs with him. He has an RX2 so I began using rekordbox to prep my files. The RX2 is great and after a few chats back and forth with my mate we both figured a standalone with 3 channels would be perfect for us.

So last night I was looking up a standalone that could accommodate but figured I'd look up some info about using the mcx8000 as a controller.

Completely forgot that the mcx unlocks Serato pro so figured I might as well give it a go.

To my surprise I could fire up Serato on my laptop and completely forget about it afterwards as the onboard screens shows the files from Serato.

I then realised you can use stems with the mcx also. I'm honestly blown away with what this device gets you.

A Serato pro licence, 4 channels which can be operated somewhat independent of the laptop screen (I closed the laptop lid once I load up Serato) Stems, the ability to hook up 2turn tables. Option for dvs also. All this for 400 euros. I honestly think it's a massive bargain.

Anyone else agree?

I reckon beginners should give it a try.

Streaming integration with Serato is a great feature, but when I look at the ALL category in my crates it would be nice to only see only local files, or filter the ALL view to be local-only. I have spotify connected, but I don't regularly use that, mostly for random requests or messing around with music I don't have. I want to build my crates with local files only, or search by local files only, and if that doesn't get results I can use the streaming service category.

Is there a way to do this that I'm missing, or a Crate I can build that will do it for me automatically?

Why is Serato stalling on adding more mixers to the "line up". I mean, I wish I could have something portable such as the Z1 Mk2 or Mixtour Pro, without going old with the AKAI AMX. But more importantly, where are Xone mixers like the 96?

So I’m a full time DJ, sometimes I’ll walk into a club and they have their own setup, which is cool.

Sometimes with these controllers, like in the case of a Rev-7, when I go into the Serato settings, the “crossfader curve” knob is grayed out. Which makes sense, because the Rev-7 has it’s own built in crossfader adjustment knob.

But recently at a gig I picked up, the club has an XDJ-AZ. This controller has no crossfader knob, but in Serato the crossfader curve is grayed out. Which obviously tells me that there is likely a built in setting for it on the controller. But when I go into the settings, tell me why this ridiculously expensive controller has only 3 possible crossfader curve settings (fully open, medium, and fully closed)?

I do a lot of mashups and blends during my set, and generally I’ve found that the crossfader curve at a 2 o clock position (on a knob) works the best. 12 o clock reduces the volumes of each track too much when I’m blending the outgoing song from the incoming one.

I love to use the crossfader as an extra volume fader to essentially compensate for potential volume differences from track to track. Either way it doesn’t matter, my question is why Serato can’t override built in limitations. I think a lot of the XDJ models have this same quirk, where you get literally only 3 crossfader options, which seems like a crazy limitation for such an expensive unit. ESPECIALLY when we’re hooking it up to Serato. Like I’d get it if I was using USBs, but I’m curious why Serato doesn’t have an override. Or moreso, why companies release $3-$4k controllers without this basic functionality.

I have exhausted myself trying to make this work.

I have a gig in an hour. I do have a back up plan. But. I dont normally use serato but the gig is using aa serato controller. I only had dj intro from way back, so I read it had to update to serato lite. Got it.

Now when I installed it and hooked up the controller, it is playing the master through my headphones in the controller. And what's worse, the DJ intro is doing that too.

I dont have my all in cause this was a last minute thing while im out of town. Any idea why my master audio isnt going to the RCA output?

I'm a Rekordbox DJ trying to switch to Serato. I can't figure out this issue with using Sync, it's probably a user or workflow error. I have been using a FLX-10, and separately, a set of CDJs in software controller mode.

When I hit Sync and it goes into relative tempo mode, both pitch faders control the same relative tempo. However, it's possible to get into a state where there is no more physical "fader" left in the direction you need. For example, you play songs progressively higher in BPM. You keep moving the faders down, then eventually you have a target BPM you are trying to reach but both faders are already all the way down. (Turning off sync doesn't help because then the BPM will abruptly reset to the real pitch fader position)

Then I discovered the shift button (FLX-10) allows you to move the physical fader without affecting the tempo. So you can move the fader back up while holding shift, and now you have more room to pull down. So far so good.

But then I had to plug into CDJs, which don't have a shift button. Now I'm stuck - so both pitch faders are all the way down, and I want to increase the tempo, and I have sync on - I cannot figure out what to do in this scenario. Disabling sync will abruptly change the BPM to real position, and there's no more physical slider in the direction I need it. I'm sure there are other controllers without a shift button, so I'm not sure how this is handled?

Another thing I can't figure out - while sync is on, if I hit the tempo reset button, it seems to disable to pitch fader, but not in a useful way - as soon as I hit it again, the tempo will abruptly adjust to it's new relative position. I feel like this is part of the puzzle I'm missing, but I can't figure out how to make this useful.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong here because I feel like I'm overlooking something. Thank you.

My setup is: Two 1210 decks, DJM 800 mixer and RaneSL3. I know I need to update RaneSL3 as it's discontinued and only supports SeratoLive up until version 2.5.5. I will do so, but I before I purchase the replacement I wanna make sure I don't run into the same problems I had with RaneSL3.

After a Windows security update that I think occurred in February, my RaneSL3 wouldn't connect with Serato. I spent many hours reading what the issue could be and I think that the security update is the problem. I've tried all of the solutions people recommended online (uninstall/install, update drivers, tried to remove the security update and so many others I don't care to post them here) and it still will not connect.

So my question is: If I update my RaneSL3 to a newer model like Reloop Flux and update Serato to the newest version, will I still face connectivity problems? Anybody else having this problem and suggestions how to resolve it?

So I guess this is the first time I have exceeded the record time and it rolled over. Started recording a new one yet. Didn't save the first half. I don't know what the time limit is because I either missed it or it was never stated. So I'm wondering if anyone knows what the time limit is or is it like a file size limit or something? I just don't understand why it wouldn't save then rollover

Where do you guys buy customized vinyl with colors and logos in the EU? I don't really need the timecode, but being ready to mount on a Rane Twelve MKII is a plus.

The other day I used an SD card to put some photos on my Mac, i eject the sd card properly and next thing you know my whole serato library is in the trash. Crates & all.. I made a new folder on my desktop, dragged all the files from the trash into the folder (the put back feature on the trash was not working for me). I then dragged everything from the folder into serato & put the crates into my serato folder.
So now I have my crates but about 40% of the files in my whole library are "lost". I've used the relocate lost files feature but still they're not being found. even though after checking they are in fact in the folder I made on my desktop. ALSO now I have duplicates of everything. So I have my library & crates but with duplicates and several "lost files".

how do I get my library back to normal?!
