Alternate Smith/ Feeble Input
tl;dr Grind inputs are independent enough from trick list guide that some tricks can be done "incorrectly" but not only look better and land more consistently.
Lots of people are probably already aware of this but I used to play skate 3 and did a lot of nollie heel front feebles (goofy) in that game and eventually started blending the inputs together meaning that I was not actually doing the feeble input correctly but stil executing it.
In short, your inputs and session: skate sim and to a much lesser extent the skate games are not entirely tied to the inputs themselves and so you will be able to alter tricks by inputting them "incorrectly". To put it simply, in both games inputting the front foot stick mostly backwards gives you a very dramatic dip and, in my opinion, a much more consistent lock in. I can get into smith and feebles so consistently only 5-0's can k-grinds really compete.
If you do a rocketed heelflip or kickflip input depending on smith or feeble you can get a much deeper dip and a grind where the board and trucks are perfectly locked in with crazy accuracy. Since skate 3 I have always landed this with 6/10 accuracy on the lowest end.
First Session Skate Part
It’s okay for a start. I definitely need to stop the lasers lmao.

Starting to get comfy down here 🤪
updated map ranking
when i had just started i ranked all the maps i had at the time. now i have 155 or so hours and every major dlc so here are my current opinions
9: sewer. at least with waterpark it has spots i do like. it can be fun to skate around, but sewers just doesnt really feel all too interesting to me, even though it has some new ideas. its just not really as fun to me as the rest and i dont really do anything there.
8: waterpark. its alright. definitely has some pretty good spots, parking area is neat too i guess.
i think the slides are a bit fun to play around with for sure but theyre a little bit of a weird addition, especially as a first dlc. if the slides were a little more mellow and less weird when going on the sides that would be fine. imo the map itself is a little over hated but not really worth it for 15 euro unless its the last one you need, really want the object dropper stuff or its on sale.
7: pietruss. this ones going to be a hot take. its definitely a good map dont get me wrong, i do also go there from time to time but it never really clicked with me. the bowls are alright but id rather go to the pools in the other (non dlc) map i forgot the name of. the rest just... doesnt click. maybe i just need to go there more often tbh
the next three are pretty close and i had a difficult time deciding what goes where. these are all maps i definitely enjoy but wouldnt make it into my personal favourites
6: el lay. its a great map if you just want more skate park, its fun, it has some cool things there. has a lack of street spots but if you want to buy it your probably not buying it for the street spots anyway. i like to go there while im talking on call and i can half turn my brain off.
5: creature hanger. its a good skate park. while its a good park it sort of feels like the filler of maps if that makes sense but its a good choice if your bored. i like it.
4: school. its a good map but doesnt really make it into my personal favourites. it has good spots everywhere but none really stand out a huge amount to me. for me its the jack of all trades map. its got something for everyone.
i also had a bit of trouble deciding one these three but i stand by theses ratings. these are my favourites
3: mall. this is likely a hot take (again) but i adore this map. its got so much interesting and unique spots. some areas are more of a challenge but its got some strange, yet fun spots you only find when you really look around. you can get creative in a lot of areas. its much different to the rest but thats to its benefit. its likely not for everyone but i adore it. also its got a place in my heart for being the first dlc i got. it has to go in three though as it is a bit more niche and not a versatile as the rest.
2: paris. this map just really has a lot of variety and i like everything it does. its got a more empty spawn with some benches and the statue as a manual pad which leaves a good bit of room for tricks on the ground. it has the bottom area which is fun to go back and forth in. it has that one colourful area which is fun and you can do some pretty creative things in. just a lot of great things everywhere with a lot of room to get pretty creative. theres also the top area which i forgot to mention thats quite fun as well.
finally prague. no map flows like it. you can basically keep a line going forever, and it gives enough room to get as creative as youd like without getting in your way. its really satisfying. the main spot at the top is super satisfying as well with the smaller steps. it has lots of setups for some satisfying lines. i cant really think about as much reasons why i like it so much, i just do. its such a good map that never really gets old for me
Definitely one of the harder tricks I've tried lately. Landing is crooked, but it was getting late. I may try to get a cleaner landing another day.
My first session clip
Just started playing with manual catch
