I don't have access to the full article, but it looks like we hired the Lion's Doctor to help with conditioning issues

Need help vectorizing this logo

Hi everyone, I’m trying to recreate the logo on the right from the original logo on the left.

The right one was AI-generated, but I want to learn how to do it myself properly as a vector.

Could anyone show me the steps or guide me on how to recreate this style in Illustrator? A step-by-step explanation would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Is Faf better than all our scrum half options?

Fafs looking good in the currie cup (But it is the currie cup)

He stated he moved to bloem to be closer to his wifes family

All the sharks players wifes seem happy in Durban though

Could/Should we have recruited him

With Grant Williams gone

Our options are

Jaden

Ivan

Rose

Bradley

Keano

Should we have recruited faf instead of Ivan

Would jaco williams be open to playing scrum half

This thread sums up this organization

Crazy how fast this organization went from being a community pillar to a scummy business with a (shitty) rugby team attatched to it. I hate everything we became

Continuing to support this team.

This entire debacle about the new logo doesn’t only infuriate me, but also deeply saddens me. Over the past few years, The Sharks have separated themselves from the rich history of the club and have instead become corporate sellouts. First it was the partnership with Hollywood Bets and now this brain dead logo change that has stripped the entire identity of the club.

I had no issues supporting The Sharks when we were playing shit rugby because I was supporting a club with deep history, and one that I have many fond memories of. However, supporting them now doesn’t even feel like I’m supporting the same team that I used to.

Maybe I’m being dramatic, but I’m just pissed off at this point.

What do you guys think of the new Springbok “Rugby Club” logo?

If you don’t like it, then it’s because you’re scared of change!

Another reason to hate the new logo

Anyone else notice that it just looked like a blank white shield from many camera angles last night?

The only compromise we should accept

Not the shitty previous replacement and not the shitty new one

Redesign

I've seen a lot of threads about the redesign asking why the supporters weren't involved and it doesn't keep sharky etc. so I thought I'd fill you in on the business side of sport.

Sharks took outside money. That money needs a return through jersey and merchandise sales.

Only by doing a full redesign which looks nothing like the past do you drive supporters to have to feel they need to buy a new jersey, shirt etc. as their old ones no longer resemble the team they support.

Not saying what's right or wrong. Personally I don't like the new design it's a chatgpt remake of the Philadelphia eagles.

But that's just the business of sport and the reality once a stake was sold to outside money.

How did you become a Sharks fan?

First ever Sharks game I watched was what I believe was Dick Muirs first game in charge having taken over from Kevin Putt

From there on I loved the vibe of the team and the young talent that was always given a chance and character we had

The highs and the lows

From young guns like JP and Ruan Pienaar, later frans steyn etc

Veterans like John Smit, AJ Venter, AB Jacobs, Johan Muller

Characters like Kanko (beefing with Plum)

Under rated players like Odwa

Watching beast's pro debut all the way to retirement

Exchanging currie cup final results with WP

Watching Juan De Jong do a dance after defeating us in a durban currie cup final and not being in a good mood for a few days

Shouting at frans steyn to kick the ball out and then seeing bryan habana score as we lose the SR final

Seeing a core of the sharks and bulls team win a world cup a few months later

Brad barret x Waylon Murray centre combo

Defeating the sader with a insane last minute try

More recently watching Leinster players try and hurt themselves jumping into a the splash pool

The insane start to the 2020 SR season that unfortunately got cancelled

Watching Patrick Lambie hand off schalk in a currie cup final

Bismark smashing Eben in the tackle

Craig burden going from wing to hooker

Etc
