input patch

For the rivage pm3 input channels 75, 76, 77, and 78, a Dante patch is required every time the device is powered on; otherwise, the microphones cannot be used. An AD4Q receiver is used

I fell for the sm7b please save me

I bought a shure sm7b bc I saw it everywhere, thought I got it for a steal but it is unrefundable now, turns out I should have actually gotten the sm7db which comes w the pre amp and is what the big leagues use. Yes I was not aware of the sm7b having an xlr only output, needed a high gain audio interface w 60db minimum and it having horrible noise reduction. I’m just a super casual gamer who wanted something decent to use I never plan to even record or stream with this mic. I should’ve gotten some usb mic but kinda too late what are some recommended audio interfaces that after tax will be under 200 cad but will be good enough that I will not need a pre amp or cloud lifter cl-1 to use this mic. I had already ordered the maono g1 neo but I can refund this and find something more worth while that might give me some use out of this mic. Yes I know I’m dumb, unintelligent stupid gamer with no idea or single intellect regarding the great universe of microphones.

Why does Shure’s Amazon storefront have an £100+ price difference compared to their official website?, something isn’t sitting right with me about it

Can anyone recommend or link to a reliable 3m USB-C cable for the Shure MV6?

Hi everyone, I’m setting up my Shure MV6 on a boom arm and need a reliable 3-meter (approx. 10ft) USB-C to USB-C cable.

I’ve had trouble finding one that is confirmed to work, as I’m specifically looking for a cable that supports full data transfer (USB 3.2 Gen 2 / 10Gbps) to avoid any audio quality issues.

  • Does anyone have a specific brand or model they are currently using successfully with this mic?

  • If you have a link to a cable that works for you, I would really appreciate it!

Shure MV7+ usb connection sounds better than xlr connection

Hello, I bought MV7+ Shure mic as well as Scarlett 2i2 4th gen audio interface just recently. I connected the USB port from Shure mic to pc USB port and connected the XLR cable from mic to Audio Interface. I went into windows setting and compared between Microphone (2- Shure MV7+) vs Analogue 1 + 2 (Focusrite USB Audio) and for some reason Microphone (2- Shure MV7+) sounds way better than the other one.

Im not sure if I am doing something wrong so please let me know what I can do better to fix the problem

Rusty SM7B?

Hi guys!

So my SM7B is picking up these weird white dots lately. How should I deal with it? And is it commonly happens on a SM7B?

Thank you!

Bad/muffled audio quality with shure sm7b. Should I look at changing the preamp and interface before changing mics?

I cannot get my shure sm7b to sound good whatsoever and am thinking of just changing mics. The preamp is dbx 286s and the interface is a roland quad capture. Any advice?

Does this solder look normal?

SM7B stopped working suddenly. Zero signal to the interface no matter what I try. I know nothing of soldering, so I’m wondering if what I’m seeing here is an issue/the culprit.

Shure SM58 had a decent volume but now its quiet

hello! i'll try to describe my problem: i recently bought an SM58 and connected it to my pc with Focusrite Solo 4th gen, the audio was fine after a bit of tinkering with the gain and in Windows settings, but after i combined both outputs in the settings of Focusrite, the volume of my voice became really quiet and even after undoing that, it is still quiet. I'm not sure what to do and I really don't think i need a preamp. If this is not the right subreddit for this please let me know.

Feedback help

So I've had my Shure MV7 for awhile now and ever since I've gotten it I've had some feedback issues I rock a pair of ATH-AD700X. they are open-air headphones and they're hooked up to the same fifine SC3 audio mixer. I've tried things such as like Nvidia broadcast and still it echoes (my friends can hear themselves or my game) from time to time. if there's ANY advice that yall could give it would be greatly appreciated!!

Shure - MV7X having issues

My microphone just isn't working right, and will only pick up audio if i take the entire top off and speak very loudly into the internal of the microphone, and even then it's super quiet. It may be my audio mixer, since I'm using more of a cheap one from Walmart (Vivitar), however the mixer itself is working but the microphone is not. I've been trying to solve this on my own for a while and would *really* appreciate the help.

People say I sound quiet in Discord

So I'm using a Shure sm7db with a scarlet Focusrite solo.

Mic is set to preamp with +28db gain using 48v phantom power. The gain knob on the interface is at about 80% and the mic is about 2 inches from my face. I'm hitting 12db in Focusrite control 2 when talking normally so I'm assuming its a Discord setting but I cant figure out what's making me sound quiet.

Any tips on how to get the MV6 closer to my mouth?

So i recently got the mv6 and i feel like the quality is way better if its close to my mouth. issue is the stand that comes with it is a bit too small to reach that high lol. I dont have a microphone arm or the space for one either so i am trying to figure out a way to elevate it i guess. ideally something thats not really too visible because i wanna still stream with facecam xD

Having an issie with Shure MV7+

I bought the MV7+ brand new and works perfectly fine with discord, OBS and basically all thing that would use it, the issue is when I go into any software that just records audio it'll just record a really loud static sound and I don't know why, it only started when I got my scaret solo intereface which I've disconnected now but still happens

does anyone know how I can fix this?
