r/SiblingSexualAbuse

The grooming was worse than I thought, and I don't think my sister ever saw me as a person.

Looking for solidarity, commiseration, advice, anything y'all are willing to give.

My older sister sexually abused me repeatedly when I was around 8-11ish and she was around 11-14ish. I'm now 23 and struggling.

Memories come in bits and pieces, mostly flashbacks of specific moments or acts. Every memory makes it worse. It becomes more and more obvious that it was intentional, planned, and she knew it was wrong but used me anyway.

TW descriptions of grooming and acts of SA >!She would show me photos of women in skimpy bikinis, not for shopping, but to show me how pretty they were. That eventually escalated to showing me videos of women making out. The physical sexual abuse started with her putting on the one "sexy" dress she owned and forcing me to kiss her and rubbing my face on her boobs and genitals.!<

Just what the actual hell. Like... I cannot understand why this happened. It's such a mind boggling thing to have done by my own sister.

Worst of all, I had no kind of education on sexuality, consent, what was and wasn't appropriate, etc. I didn't fully know it was wrong. And even if I had, we SHARED A BEDROOM. My sister was the favorite child, and I the one that my parents couldn't stand. I had no escape, no one in my corner. And my life has been totally screwed over by this.

Just. Want to scream. And don't know what to do now. She and I were close in adulthood before I started remembering these things, but now, I never want to see her again. The patterns of using me for her own gain never stopped, they just changed shape.

The more I remember, the more I realize we never had a relationship in a meaningful way. She tolerates me so that she can use me and get things out of me. I'm fed up. But so so terrified of the consequences when I keep my distance. She's giving me space now, but I don't know how long she'll wait before snapping and going all victim complex on me for abandoning her.

My younger brother touched me while I was asleep.

I honestly don't know what to put here;; nsfw?

I can put a warning: assault (I think), graphic.

Anyway I just wanted to write this down and maybe ask for some advice because I don't know what to do.

My younger brother (7M) touched me (14F) while I was asleep, or thought I was multiple times.

I woke up to him trying to pull my shorts off, touching my anus or even trying to insert his fingers or his 'thing' inside. He has also been touching himself everyday since he was 3 or something. He only got worse since then, given this story existing. He has done this before but stopped, now he's doing this again. Has been for multiple days now.

I don't want to tell my parents, psychologist, or anyone for obvious reasons. It is weird, disgusting, and why didn't I stop him? Anyway, I am not close to my parents and my psychologist or teachers would reach out to social workers or cps. I do not want that.

So, I don't know what to do. Should I confront him? Tell him to stop? Try to educate him that what he's doing is wrong?

My brother may have jerked off on me??

Hi!! When I was 8(f) years old and my brother was 12 years old, we used to play together everyday in my bed. We did roleplays, and other children games (that involved very touchy stuff). But I remember that he often asked me to bounce on his crotch area, to sit on his lap, or even to sit on his face (I only wore panties).
But I clearly remember that he often made me sit on his thighs with my back to him (he was laying on the bed), and had to close my eyes. I remember hearing shaky breaths sounds, and I heard shifting, as if he was jerking off or something.
I don’t remember a lot, he maybe even touched my private area, but I’m not sure. (I’m now 13 years old, and he’s 17)

I’m very confused, do you guys think that he was actually doing it, or am I just being weird ??

(Sorry for my bad grammar, I’m French)
Thank you for reading 💗💗💗

Not my sibling but…

I told my mom today about the sexual abuse I experienced from my cousin when I was younger. It happened about 15 minutes ago, and ever since I told her I’ve felt really strange. I feel sick to my stomach, like I might cry or throw up, and I don’t really know how to describe it.
Is this a normal reaction after finally telling someone? If you’ve been through something similar, how did you feel after opening up for the first time? I guess I’m just looking for reassurance because I feel overwhelmed right now.

Molested By Female (age 12-13) Babysitter Along With My Younger Brother Leading To Later Incest With My Brother

I (age 9) was molested along with my younger brother (7) by a female babysitter that was 12-13. When this stopped incest with my brother continued. I am not going into any details. It has been many years later and it seems I am the only one that remembers some of what happened. I have done EMDR on all the triggering memories but I still have residual stuff and can’t bring myself to ask my brother if and what he remembers as he has grown up to be an asshole that carries a gun in a holster (on his chest) and is now divorced from his wife due to his toxic personality. I am still healing from all of this.

I lwk miss my brother

Earlier today, I was watching a series called "the modern family". One of the characters, "claire," has such a great relationship with her brother, "mitchell." It just makes me miss my brother more and more whenever I look at something like that.

I wish he didn't do what he did. I wish he didn't ruin our friendship. I wish he was still the person I knew, but now when I look at him, he's someone I don't know. I don't know why he did what he did. I wish there was a way to change it, but there isn't, I guess. I miss him, even tho he's right next to me...

Parent needing guidance

Turned on NSFW to try to help provide a trigger warning. I’m not seeing the flair options.

Hi everyone. I recognize that I am posting this in a very sensitive group and want to ask for guidance in a safe place but want to be careful with my words out of respect to all of you. If anyone had thoughts on the path we should take, I’m grateful for it.

I have an almost 11 year old who has high functioning autism and some of the behaviors we see don’t feel autism related. He also has behavioral problems in general and has been in behavioral special ed.
He has a therapist, that we signed him up with specifically because of the following reasons and there’s not been real progress.

There have been a lot of what I would consider groping behaviors. Not anything super frequent but enough that I’ve been concerned for a while. It’s happened with my 22 year old son in the swimming pool. It’s happened too many times to my twin 8 year old boy. In the pool and out of the pool. There’s bene weird instances in the bathroom, again quick moments but they leave me concerned because they’re with a younger sibling.

A few days ago, when he didn’t want his 8 year old sister in the boys shared room, he literally pulled down his pants in front to intentionally expose himself to her to “get her out of his room”. This is where my line had been drawn but I don’t know what to do.

The research I have done tells me that from a list of behaviors, even one is enough to be concerned. We have some indigents of groping. We have exposure for power and control of an innocent 8 year old junk who shouldn’t know what an older males private parts look like.

I don’t know what to do. My gut tells me to her we are seeing red flags - not just with this but the concept of sibling sexual abuse is something I can’t shake. Does anyone have ideas on what my next steps should be?

Thank you and hugs to you all.

Breaking the trauma bond hurts so much

I have a sibling who was both a perpetrator and an ally when I was being harmed by others. It left me trauma bonded. It has been a year since we last had any meaningful communication. They asked if I was ok. I explained as gently as I could that my childhood experiences still impacted me. And that was it... they never replied.

It hurts. I have cried many tears and raged as well.
