RS50 causing PS5 Pro to shut off without warning?

Has anyone else had this issue? I recently upgraded from a G923 to an RS50 set and suddenly I am having issues where my PS5 Pro will shut off without warning when playing GT7 in VR. I never had this issue with the G923 and it’s to the point where I can’t do longer races at all without it happening. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out a solution?

would anyone care about this turnin turbo dashboard thing?

All I know about it is that its from the early 80s, Its in really great condition there is not a single bad thing about it. I've seen some go as far up as like $350. But my main thing is Im trying to get into sim racing but am lacking funds as I cannot legally work yet. This may be far fetched and fine if not but would anyone think about trading things for this??? like on FB or Ebay? Main question is there a market and or do people trade for these things.

Ps: Yes I know these photos are horrible they were taken on a chromebook at 3 in the morning just trust me everything is perfect.

Buttkicker! Worth it or not?

Is it wort buying a buttkicker as a cheaper alternative to motion rigs? I'm currently driving on a SimXPro FR DD cockpit, with a RCC MK8 - 2S seat. Is there a huge difference between mounting the buttkicker to my aluminium profile rig or my seat, because I was wondering if I can just drill three holes into my seat and mount it on the back, or would that ruin my seat. The other alternative to the buttkicker would be the Next Level Racing HF8 Pro Haptic Feedback Pads. What is a better option. Help needed

Fanatec CSL DD Ready2Race GT3 (5Nm) + LC + Boost Kit vs Moza R5 Bundle for ACC/LMU?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently trying to decide between two entry-level direct drive bundles and would love to hear which one you think is the better deal, especially for Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and Le Mans Ultimate (LMU).
Option 1: Fanatec CSL DD Ready2Race GT3 Bundle (5 Nm) – €459.95

What I like:
I prefer the GT-style wheel that comes with the Fanatec bundle.
I would add the Load Cell brake pedal for €75.
Later, I could upgrade from 5 Nm to 8 Nm with the Boost Kit for another €75, which seems like a very cheap and easy performance upgrade.

Option 2: Moza R5 Bundle
What I like:
With the Load Cell brake pedals, I would pay around €435 in total.

I’ve heard from a lot of people that Moza Pit House is a better and more user-friendly software ecosystem.
My concerns
On the Fanatec side, I really like the GT wheel and the inexpensive upgrade path to 8 Nm.
On the Moza side, if I wanted a similar GT-style wheel later, I’d have to spend significantly more. Also, as far as I understand, upgrading beyond the R5 would mean buying an entirely new wheelbase, whereas with Fanatec I can simply add the Boost Kit and get 8 Nm for relatively little money.

My use case
Mainly ACC
Le Mans Ultimate
Around 80–90% GT racing
I already have a dedicated sim rig, so mounting isn’t a concern.

If you were in my position, which setup would you choose and why?

I’m mainly interested in force feedback quality, reliability, software, upgrade path, and overall value for money.

Thanks in advance!

Help! Looking for new setup and not sure what to do!

I have been looking into options and looking between 2

Brand new
Simagic Alpha Evo 12nm
P1000 w/ haptic brake
GT Neo wheel

Or for £200 less I found a used deal
Asetek Forte 18nm
Moza mBooster CRP2
Round and GT wheel

To save a few ££ worth buying used? I get really weird with spending a lot on money on used tech. Its £1500 for used with rig/screen/handbrake but not sure if its worth just getting something with warranties

5800x3d and 9070xt for vr?

Hi guys, I currently have a 9070xt paired with a 5600x, and am considering upgrading to a 5800x3d, or wait until newer cpus become cheaper/ I have more money

I currently run VR (Quest 3) with the 5600x, and am struggling for 72Hz. I think i could be happy with locked 80, preferably 90.

I have seen Benchmark Odysseus' video, where the 5800x3d is right on the limit for 90Hz, although that being with the Pimax Crystal Super.

Anyone currently running 5800x3d or similar, how is your experience?

What would you recommend me doing?

Any other good resources i can check to optimize the settings?

Thank you for your replies!

VRS pro pedals vs heusinkveld ultimate+

I want to invest in a high-end set of pedals for my sim rig so I can be more competitive in iRacing. After doing a lot of research, I narrowed it down to either the VRS Pro Pedals or the Heusinkveld Ultimate+. I’ve looked into both, but I’m not sure which one is better or feels more realistic. I’ve never used or tried either of them, so I want to make sure I’m making the right purchase. Which one would you recommend?

I traded up for this from a Nintendo DS ama

Sim:

-Trak Racer F1 Movie Limited Edition TRX (11 of 100) -Asetek FORTE button box

-Asetek leather wheel rim

-Asetek initium wheelbase

-Asetek Invicta Pedals with clutch

-MSI MPG491CQP 49" QD-OLED Monitor

PC:

-MSI Inspire 5070Ti

-Rvzen 9 7900x

-32GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance Ram

-1TB M.2 SSD

-12TB WD Black external hard drive

-Corsair Vanquard 96 Keyboard

-Logitech G502 lightspeed wireless mouse

-Acer portable monitor

-Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset

Finally after over a year, I finished* my Sim rig. I started this project last year, with the goal of building a mid-high end Sim rig by ONLY trading and selling on marketplace. I didn't pay a penny on this out of pocket. Here were my rules:

-I can't put any money from mine or my wife's salary into this

-I CAN sell stuff that I trade to buy components

-I can't add any money from gig jobs like doordash or spark

-I can ONLY buy things strictly from marketplace sell or trade.

I started all this with an old Nintendo DS. I traded up several times and sometimes for multiple things. Some things I'd trade directly for rig parts, but most I had to sell and buy the parts myself.

Why did I do this? For the love of the game of course. I'm essentially in this with no money down, and I love marketplace.

*for legal and marriage reasons, I must say that my Sim rig is finished. Though we all know its not.

Thrustmaster T248 owners – how has the durability been after 1–3 years?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a Thrustmaster T248, but before I do, I'd like to hear from people who have actually owned one for a while.

I'm not too concerned about the force feedback or features—I already know what the wheel offers. My biggest concern is long-term durability and reliability.

If you've owned a T248 for several months or years, I'd really appreciate if you could share:

  • How long have you owned it?
  • Approximately how many hours do you use it per week?
  • What platform do you use (PC, PS4, PS5)?
  • Have you experienced any issues such as motor failure, loss of force feedback, paddle shifter problems, overheating, calibration issues, or unusual noises?
  • If you've had no issues, how has it held up over time?
  • Would you buy the T248 again today, or would you choose something else?

I'm planning to use it mainly for games like Assetto Corsa, ACC, EA WRC, and BeamNG, so it'll see a fair amount of force feedback.

I'm looking for honest experiences—both positive and negative—so I can make an informed decision.

Thanks in advance!

Just finished my hand-built 296 GT3 wheel based on the PE files.

Hey guys, wanted to share the final result of my
latest project. Huge shoutout to PE for the incredible design files!
Spent weeks sourcing the parts, doing the carbon
fiber work.
Molded Rubber Grips, CNC-machined aluminum
encoders and thumb rollers.
The immersion is unreal !

Would two bolts in slotted steel profiles be enough for a sim rig wheelbase/pedal mount?

I’m designing a steel profile sim rig for myself, and I’m trying to figure out if my adjustable mounting idea is structurally sound.

I am thinking to make it with square/rectangular steel profiles with 4mm or 5mm wall thickness. For adjustability, I’m planning to laser-cut long slots in the places where the reference image shows rectangular profiles with long slots/grooves/rails running along the length of each profile where i need height and angle adjustability. These grooves are visible on the side faces of the profiles and are used as adjustment channels for bolts running through them. This design would allow me to rotate the profiles and fasten the bolts (it would be like, one bolt is bit higher and the other bolt a bit lower when angle adjusted than what is currently shown in the image) - that way i would also gain angle adjustability. The red arrows point to the bolt locations where the adjustable parts are fastened through these slot/groove channels.

The main idea is:

  1. The wheelbase plate would be height and angle adjustable using slotted steel profiles.
  2. The pedal plate would also be height and angle adjustable.

My concern is whether two bolts are actually enough for the wheelbase and pedals, especially with the forces from a stronger wheelbase and heavy braking.

I’m not too worried about the bolts snapping. I’m more worried about things like:

  • The joint slipping in the slots over time.
  • The profile rotating around the bolts.
  • The steel wall deforming or crushing when tightened.
  • The slots elongating.
  • The wheelbase flexing under force feedback.
  • The pedal plate moving under braking force.

Would two M8/M10 bolts in slotted steel profiles be enough for this kind of adjustable joint?

I’m trying to keep the rig adjustable, but I don’t want the wheelbase or pedals to flex/slip once everything is tightened down.

I don't want to use pre-drilled holes for this, as I would like to keep the finer angle/height adjustment.

If you have better (and not too expensive) alternative ideas how to have both fine height and angle adjustability, please let me know.

Thank you in advance, much appreciated!

Noob ? About local team races w friend

Hey I am a fresh lmu noob but my friend and I are getting into sim racing. I have a pretty solid rig set up but my friend does not and we were hoping to run some sort of local co op race on one rig. So I wanted to ask:
Can I run a race preferably against ai that is 2 person teams that my friend and I could just switch off on the rig during pits and be able to compare our times at the end of the race? If there isn’t an official in game way of doing this are there any workarounds or any other ideas we could run with a single rig besides just time trails? Thanks

Which pedals should I pick? Simagic p1000 vs conspit cpp apex (both in the 3 pedal config)

I found these which seem very good for the price: simagic p1000 Simagic P1000-3 Pedal Set – 3-Pedal Load Cell / Hall Modular System – Trak Racer EU total cost 399.99€

and these with the clutch which also seem really good and I can't decide. Conspit cpp apex Pedales Conspit CPP APEX 2 and Pedal de Embrague Conspit APEX total cost 368€

I don't have a cockpit yet but I will have one by July 9th. (probably the gt omega ddx and in the future the rear seat frame)

[Upgrade] Looking for a new shifter to replace my Logitech Driving Force Shifter

Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a new shifter and I’m torn between two options that cost exactly the same in my region:

  1. GX100 (the sequential/H-pattern hybrid from AliExpress)
  2. Turtle Beach VelocityOne Multi-Shift Universal
    I'm playing on PC.
Has anyone here had hands-on experience with both, or at least owns one of them and can share their thoughts on build quality, shifting feel, and reliability?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

DD+ Full Force

Has anyone else notice small cogging/clicking pulses on straights with full force enabled while driving in Gran Turismo 7?

I recently upgraded from a GT DD Pro to a ClubSport DD+ and have been spending a lot of time dialing in the settings.

Overall, the wheelbase feels fantastic. The additional detail, engine vibration, shift feel, curb detail, and understeer feedback with FullForce are a huge improvement.

The only thing I’m trying to understand is a small sensation that occurs with FullForce enabled. On certain straights, I feel what I can best describe as a brief cogging, notch, or click-like pulse through the wheel. It isn’t loud, and it doesn’t happen constantly, but it feels like a sharp vibration rather than a natural road texture.

Here’s what I’ve tested so far:

Latest firmware on the DD+ and wheel.

FUL 100 = most noticeable.
FUL 50 = reduced.
FUL 0 = completely disappears.

The wheel is otherwise smooth in corners, over curbs, during gear changes, etc.

Because the behavior scales directly with the FullForce setting, I’m wondering if this is simply part of GT7’s current FullForce implementation rather than a hardware issue.

For those of you running a DD+ with FullForce enabled:

Do you experience similar click/cogging-like pulses on some straights?
If so, have you found any settings (NDP, INT, NFR, FUL, etc.) that help reduce it without losing the engine and curb detail that FullForce adds?

I’m mainly trying to determine whether this is expected behavior or if my experience is unusual.

Thanks!
