What is the best next upgrade for me?

Currently very happy with my rig, it has been this way for almost a year and in that year I have saved up about 400 euros to use to upgrade later on, but that left me with the question what do I upgrade next?

Here are my specs currently:
- single Samsung g3 monitor
- fanatec csl dd 5 nm
- Simsonn plus x pedals (3 pedals)
- gx100 shifter
- Trakracer tr80: with gt bucket seat
- McLaren and round wheel

Here are some things I consider to upgrade
- save up some more for triples
- save some more for clubsport wheelbase 15nm
- some small additions like, Simube ddu500 dash, flag indicators, wheel wall mounts, keyboard tray

What should be my next upgrade?

Can anyone help/explain? This is my second gt neo now

I got sent a new one from simmagic and still having the same problem. The lights just blink when it’s connected to my PC and then when I try the firmware update, it connects and once it’s done it disconnects again. I have also bought and tried a maglink. Also have tried a 2.0 instead of 3.0 port.I do not understand why. Can anyone explain???

Help me choose a between Moza vs Simagic setup

I've been running a Fanatec DDpro 8nm with CSL load cell pedals & a GT wheel for a while now. I am looking at upgrading to more premium end equipment.

I am stuck in two minds between these two configurations.

  1. Moza R25 ultra + GS V2P wheel + Mbooster pedal & throttle set.

  2. SImagic Alpha evo Ultra + GSI GXL wheel + Simsonn or Simnet pedals.

I struggling to choose as if I go Simagic I lose the active pedal & if I go Moza I compromise with the base & wheel.

I'm leaning toward Moza mainly because of value & bundle discount but I would like some advice on the tradeoff? Will I regret choosing Moza over Simagic base?

Thanks

Upgrading from Moza R12 and SRP pedals, seeking advice

I’ve spent 3 years playing on the Moza R12 and SRP pedals, iracing, AC and ACR.

I like the SC 3 pro but the eco-system is out of my budget (wheels etc). I’ve been looking at the Simagic Evo 18 with QR-A for the wheel base, GT neo wheel.

Pedals Im thinking the Simlab pedals or Heusinkveld sprint 3s.

Hand brake and shifter (only need sequential) SG racing kit.

Any user experience is appreciated as I don’t have the opportunity to try these in person.

MOZA KS pro button mapping

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a MOZA KS Pro and noticed it came with a pretty big sheet of button stickers. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for the best button mapping/layout.

I’ll mainly be playing Le Mans Ultimate, with some iRacing here and there, so I’d like to set it up primarily for LMU. I’m curious what you guys have mapped to each button and which controls you think are the most important to have easily accessible.

Any recommendations or pictures of your setups would be appreciated!

Buyers Remorse - Moza vs Simagic..

I recently purchased the following:

Moza R9 V3 wheelbase

VS C2P wheel

SRP2 pedals w/ added clutch

HBP handbrake

So as you can see, I've invested in the Moza brand with a fairly substantial setup as my first Sim racing setup. I also purchased a Next Level Racing GT Racer 2.0 cockpit to make full use of the setup.

Everything is assembled and I'm just waiting for the wheelbase so I can try it out.

...then I saw the Simagic green light bundle.

SIMAGIC 9NM Entry Bundle - EVO Sport wheelbase+ P700 pedals + SIMAGIC NEO X 330R steering wheel

- $849.00

SIMAGIC HANDBRAKE TB-1

- $189.00

SIMAGIC P700 Clutch Pedal

- $79.00

Subtotal $1,117.00 + tax = 1273.38

Moza bundle was 1084.68 taxes in.

So for $188 more, am I correct in saying that I could've gotten a setup that would be more premium & would withstand rally/drifting abuse for years?

And it is undervolted/has cooling fans, Aswell as "zero-cogging" as opposed to Mozas "advanced cogging compensation" - is this factual or just marketing lingo?

Did I mess up and invest in the wrong brand? Or am I overreacting and Moza is just as good long-term? When investing a grand, I'd like to think I'll get almost a decade of use out of it before noticing any wear and tear. Which fits this description more?

SRP GT-R Pedals

Curious to know why more people aren’t talking about or using the SRP GT-R pneumatic pedals. Seems to be the logical solution to eliminating the issues of elastomers and a nice alternative to springs. Seems comparably priced to other top end load cell pedals and still half the cost of active pedals.

Quick survey for my university thesis

Hey everyone!

I’m doing a university project related to sim racing and I need to collect some opinions from people who are into it.

I put together a short Google Forms survey and figured Reddit would be a great place to get some real answers from people who actually use or are familiar with racing sims.

It takes about 5 minutes, and you don’t need to own a rig to participate.

If you’ve got a few minutes to spare, I’d really appreciate the help!

Survey:

Thanks! 🙌

I spent hours redesigning my MOZA LED effects with SimHub + AZOM. Here's the result.

I wasn't completely happy with the default MOZA LED behavior, so I ended up spending quite a while customizing nearly every lighting effect using SimHub together with the AZOM plugin.

The goal wasn't to make them brighter or more distracting—it was to make them more informative while still looking clean and premium during racing.

I used AI as part of the creative process to design and refine some of the animations, then adjusted them manually until they behaved the way I wanted in-game.

I'm genuinely curious what community members think:

• Do you keep the default LED effects?

• Have you customized yours?

• What's the one telemetry effect you'd like to see implemented?

For anyone interested, I recorded a short showcase of the finished animations:

https://youtu.be/obsWwYiNT-Y?si=6wXn2HnplZh5ybZj

Constructive feedback is very welcome—I already have ideas for a V2.

Heusinkveld Ultimate+ to FatBlackCat

Has anyone here made the switch from Ultimates to FatBlackCat pedals? I race primarily full length Formula 1 races. I recently purchased the Ultimates and added Simagic reactors, but the heel cups and general formula "feel" are appealing. Thoughts?

SO I GOT THIS FAIRLY EXPENSIVE $15,000 SIMRIG AND PC SYSTEM DELIVERED AND RUNNING IN APRIL... SINCE THAT TIME I HAVE SPENT ABOUT 2 HOURS TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR EVERY HOUR OF RACING!

Alienware r18v2 desktop replacement laptop

6GB ram

12tb SDD

RTX 5090

SAMSUNG 57" CURVED MONITOR

CONSPIT ARES 20 WHEELBASE

3X CONSPIT WHEELS

CONSPIT ARES 2 PEDALS

CONNECTED THRU CALDIGIT BOX

I am not technically savvy at all and have used GPT to work through all of this but I'm really fucking tired of it now.... No software updates on anything, simrig was not connected to anything - the PC was on for a couple days, came to race, wheelbase refuses to connect and shows slow flashing blue light. Went through CONSPIT'S low blue light error procedure to no effect. Yes I have to go in a few minutes but I'm going to contact them directly.

But does anyone have any idea what's going on, and does anyone else have a 2:1 ratio of down versus racing for about 4 and 1/2 months?!!!

Clubsport shifter issue

i use a usb adapter to connect the shifter since i don’t have a fanatec base, but i have this issue where i physically put the shifter into sequential mode as shown in the picture but the app regognizes it in h-pattern mode (as shown in the picture) this has been a issue for many people just wondering if anybody has found a fix or if it’s just not compatible with the adapter.

Upgrading, need help deciding on new wheel

Hi all, so I’m currently going on my 4th year with my trusted g920, and even though that little sucker served me well I think sim racing is something I truly see myself doing for a while, so I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger on something a little more beefy.

I’m currently looking at marketplace to find a full rig, as I think it’s a way to save money while still getting some decent gear. I’m currently stuck between 3 different rigs, all around the same price, but with 3 different wheel bases.

Rig 1: Fanatec CSL 8nm, with clubsport v3 pedals and 2 wheels. Rig also comes with haptics for the pedals as well as the seat. (It’s the only one with haptics). It also has "slip angle" kit, which in the ad is said to be a poor man’s motion.(Haven’t done research, never heard of that though). Also comes with a clubsport shifter and hand brake, which I can sell as I won’t be using them. Cost: 2,750$CAD

Rig 2: Moza R12 v2, Thrustmaster TLCM pedals and also comes with 2 wheels. Description says "amazon shifter and brake", which I would also sell. Cost: 2,300$CAD

Rig 3: Simagic evo alpha 9nm, P500 pedals, also has 2 wheels. No shifter or brake. Cost: 2,400$CAD

I’m tempted to go towards the first rig, as I’ve read that haptics make a pretty big impact. And I’m sure I can get at least 150$ for the shifter and brake, so it makes the slightly higher cost a bit more appeasing.

Having said all of that, I guess I’m just looking for some advice, as this is a pretty big purchase. These 3 rigs are similarly priced, but offer different things/products, and even with all the research I’ve done I’m still hesitant to pull the trigger on one over the others.

Thanks for taking the time to read all that!!!!

Trak Racer ”Buttkicker“

So I was looking for a affordable Buttkicker, which is basically plug and play, and then I stumbled across the one from Trak Racer. Does anyone have experience with this bass shaker? Is it good?

What to do

I'm considering going all out and getting the Invicta wheelbase. Any owners who can tell me about long-term issues to look out for and how to fix them? How reliable is it compared to the Forte? I have this odd fear of missing out on the extra slew rate of the Invicta. I'll be buying the Asetek Invicta wheel and the d-shaped rim paired with the Forte GT button box.

Is 860EUR a fair value for this sim racing setup?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to get an idea of what a setup like this would be worth on the used market cuz I‘m trying to get rid of mine.

It includes:
● Moza R9 V3 wheelbase
● Moza KS Pro Wheel
● Simson Pro Plus pedals
● Lite wheel stand
● Everything is in very good / almost unused condition
I was thinking around 860EUR for the whole setup. Does that sound reasonable, or would you value it differently?

Just looking for some opinions on the current used market value. Thanks!
