there have been ppl going around the campus asking students if they want free smiskis or yochi voucher. IT IS A SCAM. they will get you to sign up for a circles life plan (which is a fucking pain to cancel) and get hostile and upset when u start asking more questions about the plan.

these people are leveraging off the fact that we are teenagers who js want free cute things. they know we won’t think twice about signing up if it’s for a free smiski but trust me, it’s not free. in a month, they’ll start charging your account and it’s a hassle to cancel. just google circles life scam and you’ll see the amount of people complaining about it.

i heard that they’re also going ard NTU, NUS, and ngee ann so ill be cross posting this to sgexams too.

hi anyone bought the 6.50/month subscription from circleslife today at t11 square? there were some ppl promoting it w the free smiskis/pokemon board. pls pm me if u did or bought b4 because i realised that theres like a 2month termination contract so u have to pay upfront the 2 months before u are able to terminate it, so im kinda scared now cuz i bought it n the bill is apparently $13 alrd even tho it was advertised at $6 a month with the 1st month being free, idk what to do now

Hi, I just wanna know if there is anyone like me who is probably just a Year 1 student, 5 weeks in and it's already hard for them to cope?

For me, I would say my problem is not making friends and overthinking too much.

I don't feel like making friends in my class cause I don't think we will get along well, like we have nothing much in common to talk about, just school and projects.. apparently I guess I also enjoy just heading home after school cause I have no friends to study with or hang out with. I get that making friends and connections is important but I want to focus on my grades (GPA) more than making friends. Am I being too much for thinking like this even tho I'm just a Year 1 student? I mean I have a lot of time to spare, but I feel like going out with friends that aren't really close is a bit wasting time 😓

Second, I feel like I'm overthinking this but I'm already worried for my GPA and future eventho my first graded assignment haven't due yet. I'm just so scared that if I don't do well, I won't get high GPA and get into uni, even tho it's not a must for me to get into uni. It's just something my parents would want me to go. I don't really know what to do 😭😭

So I was just doing uni research then I come across polytechnics, I want to do electrical engineering. from what I understand the main difference between polytechnic diplomas and university degrees is that uni does all the maths and scientific theory, polytechnics teach more hands on and application? and the jobs are different, the pay seems ok starting at around 2500-3000SGD after graduation? I don't see why not to take that instead of university. I was jsut wondering how are polytechnics, the syllabus, campus etc. Also I heard there's prejudice against going to polytechnics because older employers prefer degrees rather than diplomas? Also isn't it ok since some employers are willing to sponsor you for uni or something like that?? Please correct me if i'm wrong lowkey only heard about this a few days ago

Is it normal if a LO completely ignore their assigned intern?

For example, whenever I msg any questions regarding the school aspect of the internship(e.g journal, project, etc), my LO would read it and not reply.

The one time I manage to get my LO to reply was when she randomly called me without informing me beforehand, in the middle of work and she said that only my project matters and the rest of it is “not important”. Hence why she doesn’t want me to share the OneDrive folder with her.

Is everybody/most of the interns experience like this? I’m afraid that I will be unfairly graded, after all I’m trying to get a A out of this internship.
