Places to stay for a budget of less than 3500 Pesos/ night.
Diving classes - we both are non swimmers, so unsure if diving classes are required.
Cost of taking a rented scooter.
Best places for scuba and snorkeling on the island.
Are there guides for the water activities? How do we get in touch with them?

Basically I has to return back to Ireland after I got violently sick in Siquijor. I was admitted to Siquijor Provincial Hospital ( amazing care btw). I have most of the paperwork for my insurance claim as I am flying home, but my insurance is asking for a medical report form ?
Does anyone happen to have a reliable email address for the hospital so I can request one ? Any help / support would be greatly appreciated as it would mean I can get some of my flight refunded hopefully.

Our travel day is total of 7days.
And our plan is pagkasyahin ang Bantayan Island, Canyoneering and sumaglit sa bohol for Danao Adventure Park for the giant swing and the plunge and zipline, then ferry to Siquijor, 17-20 Siquijor and 20 8pm flight from Dumaguete to Manila.
Possible ba pagkasyahin to or we need to let go one of the trips? If yes, alin ang mas okay tanggalin para smooth lang ang travel.
Made a DIY Siquijor Travel Guide After One of My Renters Got Completely Lost on the Island 😅
One of my scooter renters got lost while exploring Siquijor and somehow turned a simple island loop into a whole-day adventure. 😂
Thankfully, they had fun—but it made me realize how many travelers want to explore Siquijor on their own and end up piecing together information from random blogs, old Facebook posts and YouTube videos.
After answering the same questions over and over, I started putting together a DIY guide based on places I've personally visited and recommendations from locals and travelers.
A few local tips:
🏍️ Rent a scooter if you're comfortable riding. It's the easiest way to explore the island at your own pace.
🌊 Visit Cambugahay Falls early (before 8 AM if possible). You'll avoid most of the crowds.
🏖️ Popular spots like Salagdoong are much better on weekdays.
🌴 Don't try to see everything in one day. Siquijor is best enjoyed slowly.
🧙 Be respectful of the island's healing traditions and folklore. It's an important part of the local culture.
The guide eventually grew into a collection of routes, attractions, cafés, waterfalls, hidden beaches and practical travel tips for DIY travelers.

We visited Siquijor way back 2024 with my two other friends tapos nag bar kami ng friends ko somewhere sa San Juan, it was like a 15-minute drive sa stay namin, malayo sya yung paakyat sya sa hill.. Now nung pabalik na kami ng friends ko sa accomodation namin around 2:30 almost 3 AM, may nadaanan kaming bahay na may nagwawalis sa labas ng kanyang bahay around this time at he stared at us pa nung dumaan kami (nakamotorbike kami) For us, it’s really odd since we believe sa kasabihan na bawal magwalis sa gabi or even during this odd hours. I dunno, kinilabutan talaga kami at nag speed up na yung friend ko sa pag drive kasi yung daan papunta sa accomodation namin is wala nang streetlight once paglampas sa Balete tree spot..

To people wanting to visit Siquijor via Dumaguete riding Oceanjet.
Be advised that you will be paying for "porter fee" of Php 70 for a single carry on bag (except for business class tix holders) on top of your fare. This is regardless if you can carry your bag or not.
If your laptops/ipads are inside the carry on, you will be asked to take them out and bring it with you while riding the vessel.
There was no notice upon ticket purchase of such rule, so this took us by surprise.
I am a solo traveller going to Siquijor on June 11-15. Since I don't know how to drive motorcycles and I don't want to rent a tuktuk, I think e-bikes are the best option. Is it available there? I really wanted to explore the place with no pressure. Thanks in advance.

Now, I really want to dive in Siquijor next month, but I’ll be going as a joiner also my friend is going with me and I still don’t have my own gears/equipment. Honestly, medyo na-overwhelm ako sa dami ng nag ooffer ng freediving don kaya hindi ko alam saan ako mag join. 😅
