Hi! Where can i get information about Steve and the Alcoholics band? Biography, live concerts, documentaries? How come such technically progressive musicians could manage to make only a dozen of records? Why didn't it go? I will appreciate any info
Hey guys this is one of my favorite songs I wrote a while ago for my Skate/Surf Punk band The Target Audience. Johnny Thunders was a huge influence on my guitar playing and the mystery of his death has always been super fascinating to me. Heres a link to the song on bandcamp but its also available on all streaming platforms. I tried to take alot of influence from older ramonescore bands like the Lillingtons and Screeching Weasel but also added a female vocal (Vocalist from an awesome Chicago band called Sex Dream featured on backing vocals!) Hope some of you guys might dig this. My buddy Lou drew a killer Johnny Thunders skull for the cover ala old Misfits Art!

Over the past few months I've really been LOVING this beautiful genre called Skate Punk! It's like melodic hardcore, but with skate boards. Or if pop punk decided to go faster.
As of now, my fave scene is certainly the 90s Swedish one. It's just super melodic, which tickles my fancy immensely. I'm still looking for CDs by bands like Adhesive, Passage 4, Venerea, No Fun At All, etc.
Skate punk CDs are surprisingly cheap! I managed to easily acquire 90s Japanese first presses for what was essentially the price of 2 hamburgers. Super common as well!
