Solawave Pro vs Omnilux and ive used both and its not close

Had the Omnilux for about 4 months before upgrading to the Solawave Pro. Sharing my experience because I see this comparison come up constantly.

Omnilux: 2 wavelengths, 132 LEDs, 30mW/cm2, 10 min sessions. Its a fine mask and I did see some subtle improvement in skin tone over a few months but the sessions felt long and the results were slow.

Solawave Pro: 4 wavelengths, 320 LEDs, 65mW/cm2 irradiance, 3 min sessions. Saw more visible improvement in 6 weeks than I did in 4 months with the Omnilux.

The biggest differences for me were the additional wavelengths (deep red and amber on top of red and NIR), the significantly higher LED count giving better coverage and the 3 min sessions which completely changed my consistency. I went from skipping sessions with the Omnilux because 10 min felt like a chore, to never missing one with the Solawave because 3 min is nothing.

Both are FDA cleared, both use medical grade silicone but the Solawave Pro is just a newer generation of technology and it shows. If i had to do it again i wouldve just gone straight to the solawave and saved myself the upgrade

Favorite SPF’s with 50++++?

I’ve been using a great SPF 50++++ that leaves a dewy glow. Nice for winter but not so nice for spring and summer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice SPF that is non-comedogenic and leaves a natural finish? I was eyeing the Tatcha milky sunscreen SPF 50++++ but wanted to gather thoughts here first ❤️

Best product from Revision?

What do you think is their best product, and what does it do for you?

(With exception of the Youthfull Lip, I already crowned that one).

Edit: Also, can anyone vouch for their Radiance+ Resurfacing Serum?

Shu Uemura cleansing oil?

Do we still use/like this OG cleansing oil? Saw it recently released a new “skin barrier-friendly” version called brightOil and tempted to try.

I’ve been using this since I was a teen. Now that I’m 43, I still use it as pre-cleanse because I wear a thick layer of sunscreen daily. My go-to is the green bottle.

Would love to hear your lux faves. I’ve tried Chanel and Cle de peau and thought they were ok.

Hydrating & plumping serum.

With all the skincare I have , I somehow found myself without a hydrating serum. I finished my bottle of Auteur Hyaluron and audibly gasped. I hate that you can’t tell when you are close to the end. Anyway I was thinking to repurchase but thought I would ask you guys what you are using. I used Sturm’s super anti aging serum for awhile and enjoyed the switch to Auteur. I have AOS beta glucan serum on the way but that’s taking forever. I will be in the US soon and plan to order Hydrinity Restorative HA serum. Someone said the Skinceauticals Multi Glycan is amazing but i seemingly never like anything from this brand, only PTiox. Very curious what hydrating serums make you feel juicy ?!

It's here! SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

My new SK-II essence has arrived! The plan is to try it in place of Sunday Riley Pink Drink (my HG) for a few weeks straight. I just want another essence option in my routine that my skin loves like Pink Drink. I've tried many, but nothing else keeps my skin so balanced and hydrated all day.

🌞 AM Routine

  • Non-luxe cream cleanser, lukewarm water, pat dry
  • Sunday Riley Pink Drink essence mist (<--- replace with SK-II essence)
  • Sunday Riley CEO 15% Vitamin C serum
  • Tula 24-7 Day & Night Cream
  • Sulwhasoo Ultimate S eye cream

I'm not planning to use it for PM because I use tret with nothing but a dab of barrier cream on most nights. I do have one "rest" night though that's just for pampering and I switch it up. I have an SK-II sheet mask from u/tashinator0503 , and the essence came in a kit with a 0.5oz of the Skinpower Re-New Cream, so I may do an SK-II night and use all three together.

Any other thoughts about trying out the SK-II essence? Other places in your routine that you like to use it?

ASAP DNA renewal serum?

Has anyone tried it? I took a face massage the other day and they used it (the only active they used), I didn't notice a difference but a couple days later I felt my skin looked more even toned?

Is it just my brain playing tricks on me? The spa was quite transparent about the promotion of the product, no sneaky marketing. But I'm a septic before trying anything new so please if someone has any reviews let me know. Online reviews of the product are so fake they seem to be paid reviews.

Best moisturizer/barrier repair products for oily skin?

I am a 43-year-old female with oily skin and relatively new to skincare. I recently started incorporating more actives into my routine, and while my skin is still definitely oily, I feel like my barrier could use some extra love and hydration/restoration.

What are your favorite moisturizers or barrier-repair products for oily/acne-prone skin that hydrate well without feeling heavy or greasy?.

Is anyone still using Vintner’s Daughter?

I bought the serum maybe seven years ago when it was all the rage. I loved it—particularly the smell. It was heavenly! I have quite dry skin so I love oils. This may sound a little weird, but part of the appeal was it made me feel cared for. Like I was looking after myself and smelling nice. 😂 I have a thing for smells but I don’t like perfume.

Anyway, I used the one bottle up but I didn’t repurchase because it was sooo expensive. I never hear anything about it anymore, so I’m just curious if anyone uses it.

Buyer Beware: CurrentBody Series 2 Mask and absurd return policy

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a really frustrating experience my wife and I are having with the new CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 and their customer service.

My wife tried using the mask twice, but she couldn’t keep it on for more than a few seconds. The brightness caused an immediate, painful burning sensation in her eyes. This $700 CAD mask is completely unusable for her.

When I reached out to customer service, they refused a refund because the mask "is functioning as intended" and doesn't have a technical fault.

Their official website states: If you are not happy with your purchase, you have 30 days to return your item(s). Please note that the item must be new and unused, with all the original accessories, free gifts, packaging and manufacturing seals intact to be eligible for a full refund.

It’s a complete joke. If you actually open the box and try the product, you can't return it because it's "used." But if you try to return it because it physically hurts you, they refuse unless it has a hardware defect. Their "30-day satisfaction policy" is a total illusion.

I find it completely unacceptable that a company expects you to pay $700 for a product that you can't even try and if it actively hurts you, their solution is a DIY workaround with cotton balls.

If you have even slightly sensitive eyes or skin, be very careful buying from CurrentBody.

Has anyone else experienced intense eye pain with the Series 2, or had any success fighting this ridiculous policy?

Any good Red Light Therapy Memorial Day Sale deals?

I've been looking into red light therapy devices but keep getting overwhelmed by all the options out there. There's so much conflicting info about wavelengths, power output, and whether any of it actually makes a difference for skin health. Plus with Memorial Day coming up I'm hoping to catch some sa͏les. Has anyone here actually invested in a qual͏ity device and felt like it was wor͏th it? What should I be looking for in terms of specs that actually matter, and are there any brands that consistently have goo͏d de͏als during the holidays?

thinking about ultherapy for my sagging jawline after some online searching

my skin has been losing that tight feel around the cheeks and neck lately even with good skincare and i wanted something non invasive to help bring it back without downtime. i looked online and found a clinic doing ultherapy in seoul that focuses on natural lifting results using ultrasound to target deeper layers.

it sounds like a solid option for someone in their 30s wanting gradual improvement over a few months. the idea of no surgery and quick sessions appeals to me but im still figuring out if its the right fit for my skin type. what made you decide on similar treatments if youve gone that route?
