Almost done with body work should be done this week or next week then wrap and then wheels almost ready for summer cruising
Bought this a few weeks ago. Quite a few miles on it but pretty solid. Going to stick to upkeep for a bit, then it's on top esthetics
Recently, I did a couple modifications to my R 34, install the bigger turbo manifold intake, and all that good stuff that created a lot more heat and the harness on the passenger side, which would be the left side of these vehicle pretty much melted, I got all the wires put back together, exactly the same way as they were prior to the burnout, now I have an ABS light and a battery light that will not shut off no matter what I do. They are always on them. Any ideas of what can be causing this issue?
I did already check every single fuse in the vehicle and they are all good
I have an R 34 GT and I would like for it to sound better. I don’t know where to go with the exhaust system. Please help.
Was driving home yesterday on the freeway and suddenly lost power, dashboard lights were going crazy and car won't turn over. I was bringing it home from a company that helped me take out the immobilizer that was installed on the car. When I went to pick the car up he said it was a fuel cut off immobilizer. Car was running and driving fine for about 20 minutes after I picked it up. I did start getting a belt squeal 2-3 days prior to this issue. It would go away a few seconds after start up so I originally thought I lost a belt when I lost power on the freeway.
I recorded a video of the car trying to turn over. I hear the fuel pump when I turn the ignition on. I fear im looking at a motor rebuild..
Doesn't sound great.
I do get some sort of backfire/pop from the exhaust sometimes while trying to get it to start.
Suggestions?
Going over a new to me R32 gtst and found a torn boot on what I thought was the front cv joint. Can anybody confirm what part this is and suggest a good place to pick up a replacement?
I’m writing because my ex partner bought a skyline R33 from a seller in Melbourne, $25k. He was told that it just needs a few fixes to be roadworthy, but 6 months later he was told it’s irrepairable.
He wasn’t told about the chassis being damaged, and when he first found out 4-5 months ago he took it on the chin and said he will get it fixed, that it’s okay and he’s learning. He worked his ass off to get the car, like most people do, but he had just finished 6 whole years of looking after me full time when I fell into bad mental health and agoraphobia after my parents died.
I met him when I was 15, he was 16, on CSGO. We were long distance, I was in Tasmania, he was in Victoria. When I turned 17 my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and my whole life turned upside down. I had no choice but to leave my friends and siblings behind and move in with him and his family.
When I tell you he was the most patient kid with me, I mean it. My mental health spiral wasn’t easy for either of us but he suffered just as much as me, if not more. I am getting better but I’m disabled and can’t work a normal job- so I’m starting my own business and he still supports me in every way while I do it. I am heartbroken for him.
This car wasn’t just a purchase goal, it was symbolic to the 6-7 years of mental health struggles we both faced. He cooked, cleaned, bathed me, took me to all my appointments, sat with me at hospital when I was trying to give up. He fell into his own spiral, which makes sense considering how much he was carrying for the both of us. He told me a year ago that he spent many nights in his deceased grandfathers car… literally contemplating his exit. While I dealt with those feelings my whole teen life, he was 24 telling me this and it felt heavier than anything I have ever experienced. He wanted to die.
I don’t know what exactly I am doing by posting this. I don’t know any of you and you all don’t know me. I’m just hoping someone has advice? The guys at the repair shop are so sweet and they really didnt want to tell him. It took them 3 days to call him and tell him the news about his car. I just got off the phone with him too, and he said to me “I’ll just take this as another life lesson”. 😭
What do I do to help… is there a legal route? I can offer artwork commissions in exchange for money, so if anyone’s interested please message me. All funds will go to him. I don’t know what else to do.

Hi All,
I have an issue with my ATTESA System on my BNR32. I've been hunting this issue for years, but with very little success, so am hoping to find someone with a knowledge of this system.
What's happening is that at motorway speeds (60mph+), only on part throttle (1/4 throttle) the car is lurching, vibrating and bucking. When I'm off throttle, it's very smooth, when I put my foot down it's smooth.
When I remove the fuse to make it RWD only, it's completely smooth.
I can see on the torque split in the instrument binnacle that the car is blipping torque to the front wheels, as the needle jumps. Presumably, this is what's creating the lurching.
The engine, prop shaft, rear diff and gearbox are very solid.
I've tried to learn about the system, but I've never really found anyone who's had a similar experience. Most of my driving is low speed around town, so it doesn't normally impact me.
So here's where I'm at...
I understand that the torque split gauge in the binnacle isn't telling me what's happening at the wheels, but is actually telling me what signal is being sent by the ATTESA ECU? If that's the case, and I'm understanding it correctly, root cause is unlikely to be a hardware issue.
In terms of sensor inputs to the ATTESA ECU, my understanding is that it sends power to the front wheels, based on G sensor, rear wheel ABS sensor and TPS readings. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but these seem to be the inputs which may be most likely to cause this?
I can rule out G sensor, because the system operates ok at low speeds and full throttle. (Or maybe the lurching is still happening, but less noticeable at lower speed?).
I've replaced the TPS recently, and it's functioning ok, so I believe it's unlikely to be causing this problem.
That leaves me with ABS sensors on the rear wheels, next to the diff, or potentially an issue with the ECU itself.
As I say, this has been going on for years, and I've never managed to get to the bottom of it, so would really appreciate any help or guidance from anybody who knows the system well. Even if you can tell me if I'm completely barking up the wrong tree... I really don't want to start firing a parts cannon at it, but I'm concerned that the vibration and bucking will create problems with the hardware.
Thanks in advance.
I want to change this gauge pod insert to one that fits and looks better but I cannot get the actual gauges out.
I managed to disconnect and remove one (exhaust temp) as it was just connected with wires but these two (oil pressure and oil temperature) have that lead going in and I can’t take it out.
Is the only way to take it out from where it’s connected in the engine bay?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
