Im currently free-ranging my chickens, should I keep at it? Or put them in a coop?
Im playing Slime Rancher 2, and I have no issue whatsoever with my slimes, but because I combined my slimes to eat primarily fruits and veggies, I don't use meat, never. So I have an over abundance of chicken, a few hundred in silos and probably few hundred more roaming around, of each kind, in every plot.
Im asking because because my game is lagging so hard.
I had the game in my backlog for a few months now since it was in PS plus monthly games a few months ago and I wanted to try it after playing the first game which I really liked. So far, most of the things I like about the game are the same reason why I liked the first game, but is it just me or is this game super grindy. I don't mind games being grindy as long as the grind is fun but this game sometimes oversteps it a bit.
I'm at the Grey Labyrinth part of the game and I just need so much resources to make craft stuff and grinding to collect all the many different resources in the game just makes the game feel more like a unfun grind fest for resources than a cozy game at certain times. I feel like the resource gathering wouldn't be as much of a problem if you had a way to have more inventory space, 6 is a nice upgrade from the first game but I feel like it would be nice to have even more space since the game is so much more focused on gathering resources compared to the first one.
Basically they were sentient Tarr slimes, mostly because our closest relative is the chimpanzee and they are surprisingly violent like the Tarr slimes. The axe is designed to hook combatants and throw them far away. The cube is a chest that they carry inside as they are semi liquid so they need a way to keep things dry. What do you guys think?
doing the main quest, don't mind all the spots on the map there's some i already explored but just haven't found the map data node lol..i did the largo, opened up the door and stuff but im just stuck on where to go and all the videos about where to go in the labyrinth are like 40 minutes long (don't mind the doggo in front of the tv)
Im in the grey labyrinth and I just got to exploring the purple area. I found this pipe off to the side sticking out of the wall but its straight vertical and I cant jetpack high enough.

The fact that Ringtail doesn't change color in combination with Flutter gave me the idea to make the antennae and wings removable (they attach with magnets).
I got it to constantly be spitting out plorts but not into the market how do I do that?
so im currentlly working on trying to get the saber rediant so ive been farming a lot of hens by releasing a lot of hens in my yolky area breaking the eggs and letting a drone collect them into a silo as you can see in the picture below, with a normal amount of yolkys this will be fine but back when there was the duplication glitch i got a bit carried away and ended up with 700 yolkys so the hens fill the area with eggs in under a minute and every time i finish breaking all the eggs they refill the area almost immediatlly, so does anyone have an idea to how i can automate it?
I have it set to collect flutter plorts from the plort collector directly infront of the drone station. I fully charged it and all it does is sit there with a little satellite over its head like its searching for a task. There's plorts in the plort collector. What am I doing wrong?
This area of my ranch is where I have a free roam chicken farm and my meat eating slimes. I've added like 8 Yolky slimes so there are always large eggs to open for yolky plorts, but I got tired of chasing the plorts all over the place and vacuuming up chickens. So i built this contraption using nets, a distributor, a warp depot, and a spring pad.
I burst the eggs open within the net and then the distributor sucks up the yolky plorts and shoots them into the warp depot. I have the other end of the warp depot next to the plort market in the main area so I can watch prices and sell them easily when the price is high, or quickly grab them for drone fuel.
You do have to leave one yolky plort in the depot or else there's a chance the distributor will start filling it with chickens, but this has worked well for me!
Hi, I’m 100 days into slime rancher 2 and i have found every slime but a dervish. I know they spawn during cyclones but my problem is there’s just never windstorms. I check the map obsessively while i play to see if there’s a windstorm of any kind and they just aren’t happening 😭 Im not sure if im doing something wrong or if I’m simply just unlucky and not getting any. The last 20 in game days have been dedicated to me doing stuff around the conservatory and checking the map for weather. If anyone has any suggestions or knows how the weather mechanics work that would be great. Im not sure if im doing something wrong or not but this feels like the most ridiculous problem to have. My big question is really how do i find a cyclone when no windstorm events have happened for awhile and when can i expect them to start happening again?
How do I get through here to the teleporter? I already unlocked it.

ok so i got slime rancher 2 around 2 months ago, i have one save that has around 120 days.
2 days ago everything was smooth and i was just exploring the grey labyrinth and left it at that.
now yesterday, i started playing and noticed everything was super super laggy, i think this is called fps drop? as in my game cuts every time i move the camera.
i also noticed that when i open the map it takes it a second to load and when I'm there, the curser moves really slowly and like cuts a bit..
also when i tried playing a bit (even though my game freezed constantly), i couldn't hear the plort vacuuming sound for a few seconds which was weird.
now i have tried to lower the graphics to the lowest i could, and nothing helped! TT
i tried running as administrator, uninstalling through steam and reinstalling, making a new save but it was still laggy and the same, verifying the files on steam, updating my laptop and Nvidia driver, disabling the steam cloud, deleting cache, reseting, shut down, playing with no programs in the backgroud, playing with, and maybe even more but NOTHING HELPED/CHANGED FOR THE BETTER!! TTTTTTT
pls pls pls pls someone help me I'm begging i didn't even finish the game...
my laptop stats are:
cpu: 11th gen Inter(R) Core(TM) i7 - 11800H @ 2.3GHz
ram/memory: 32 GB
gpu: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU
and as far as I'm aware, everything should be up to date.
EDIT: if anyone has the same issue as me, change your mouse polling to the minimum!
