I've been drafting a plan of direction for my content style, and I've run into some concerns.

Heres what I've observed
- Many creators are making substantial profit from soundtrack sampling, imagery and AI trained voiceovers, without repercussions
- Stay away from Nintendo- notorious for giving out strikes

My intentions:
- Utilize material from media which is nostalgic to me. Example - Age of Mythology soundtrack remix, paste AOM character onto vid of guy doing goofy dance, crop guy onto backdrop from game, train AI voiceovers with in-game dialogue, potential skits, etc.

Legal precautions:
- No monetization, no linked patreon etc.
- "All rights go to..."

I am primarily music focused, and intend to take major creative liberties and extensive production, not just "slowed+reverb". The point is to truly embrace and pay tribute to the source. What are your thoughts?

I’m thinking about starting a Vanilla (plugin-based) Roleplay server with resource packs & client-side mods to make everything look a bit nicer, while still keeping it easy to join.

The server would be lore-based with a bit of drama RP, all set in one town.

I’ll handle optimizing & setting up the modpack for recording, and help anyone who needs it.

It’ll be creator-exclusive and just a fun way for everyone to collab.

I recently moved back into my hometown with no current job. I have a passion for content creation, so I am hoping to build connections and set off on this.

I am looking for new friends in a YouTube passion project I am going to be working on. It is a semi-scripted adventure where we will be playing my custom modpack. It will be a small group, 3-8 people max. It follows the story of me, a wealthy businessman who resets the entire world to avoid corruption in the Minecraftian government. Upon resetting, my character realizes that he had reset the world into a different code (mods) and everything is different. From there, I will not spoil more, but if you are interested, please comment or direct message me your Discord username. I am looking forward to this adventure!

My channel is new, I have only 6 shorts uploaded, and two of them are from some days ago and didn’t get more than 30 views, the other ones hits 1k minimum. Also, as they’re short, humorous clips of me playing Rocket League – and I’m really rubbish at the game – do you think I’m doing the right thing by uploading one short video a day?

So I’ve been on and off with my YouTube journey as life keeps being life and I’ve found that I don’t have the time to get to the level of editing I’d want to be at. I’m trying to get back into since my life is going in a way where I have both the money and time to do bigger projects. For me I want to 100% games I’ve got since I’ve got a lot and do challenges for games as well. And obviously I want to get to the point where I can pay an editor but it’s still a world I’m unfamiliar with. So I guess if there’s any editors who are interested maybe a small video (around 10 mins) free just to get an idea and feel for the editing and then we could discuss payment per video and as I make more money and have more set back for YouTube purposes I do wanna pay more for the editing. My original AdSense account failed identity verification on July 1st, stopping my YouTube monetization (Step 2 error), but my $178 in earnings from June 29 to July 1 is still safe in YouTube Studio. To fix this, I created a new AdSense account using my sister's legal details to avoid duplicate account flags, but her account is currently stuck on "We've got your info" with pending payment info. I am getting conflicting advice online: one source says I must link this new account to my channel right now via "Change Association" to trigger and complete the approval process, while another says I should wait until the payment info is approved first. Can I safely link this pending AdSense account to my YouTube channel right now to fix Step 2, and will this secure my $178 for the next payout cycle?

How would you find a partner who could edit video for you in real life?

Most, if not, all of those I met online were unreliable and interested for different reasons. I should have posted a full video nearly 4 months ago, but my "partner" messed up my work and left.

I'm desperate to find a reliable one and I intend to pay them after they prove to be reliable.

My edit style is inspired by editors from creators like SMii7Y, Soup, Stimpee, Yumi, and The Group, at least, that's the direction I want to build toward. So creators with a similar group/reaction-driven dynamic are a great fit, but I'm open to other styles too. Before starting though, I'd like to check out your content first, either raw footage, or just your existing uploads on YouTube. And I am generally willing to experiment with anything you throw at me if I can make it work.

My portfolio right now is mostly personal projects, but I'm happy to show additional work in a private setting. Besides that, I'm glad to tailor my editing style to what you're looking for, but I'd like to keep some creative freedom too, since I want to enjoy editing of course. Otherwise, I wouldn't be doing it for free ;). Because of that I gravitate toward clip-style projects and funny content, though that doesn't rule out long-form, since those can be built from clips too.

Hey guys, So i started a new channel on June, 30 and posted first video on same day. Till now it has got only 3 views in total and in that total, 1 view is mine. To be exact, its 1 day and 19 hours to this time when i writing this since i posted the video. i have few doubts regarding it. My niche is human emotion, self healing and introspective thoughts. I make videos on my personal experience with the elaboration of emotions and thoughts.

• is this normal for a new channel?
• will the audience increase as much as i post more videos on my channel?
• what are your thoughts about the niche i have chosen? i choose it because i had my personal experience and had creative thoughts on top of it.

Hii! I'm wanting to start a YouTube channel and I'm debating between EpidemicSound and Artlist for copyright free music. Does anybody have any advice on which one? Or why I shouldn't do one? I'm seeing discussions online but it's not giving me the answers I need

Anyone else seeing huge inconsistencies with YouTube Shorts lately?
I’ve been posting YouTube Shorts consistently for about 18 months, mostly in the kindness, wholesome, motivational, inspirational, and faith-based space.
Lately, though, I’ve noticed something that has me scratching my head.
For months, my Shorts were pretty consistent. Some would do a few thousand views, others would hit tens or even hundreds of thousands. Every now and then I’d have a flop, but that was expected.
Recently, though, I’ve had several Shorts that barely get shown at all.
The confusing part is that I honestly feel like my content is improving. I’m spending more time editing, working on stronger hooks, telling better stories, and making higher-quality videos. Yet some of those videos are performing worse than older content that took less effort.
I’m wondering if YouTube is changing how it tests Shorts, or if my content has evolved enough that the algorithm is still trying to figure out the right audience. Maybe it’s just normal variance, but it definitely feels different than it did several months ago.
For those of you who have been posting consistently:
Have you noticed a similar drop or inconsistency recently?
Are your Shorts getting fewer initial impressions than before?
Have you found anything that’s helped, or do you just keep posting and ride it out?
I’m not trying to blame the algorithm I know not every video is going to perform well. I’m just curious if other creators are seeing similar patterns or if it’s something unique to my channel.
I’d appreciate any insight from people who’ve experienced this.

was at #98 then #100 on the hype leaderboard now I’m no longer on the leader board will the badge stay on my video it’s still there right now. I’m also wondering does it stay forever or does it go away when the week is done? I looked this up on google and couldn’t find an answer. I know it’s a new feature but there’s no information about whether it stays or not.

Looking for someone in their 20s who’s funny, knows ball, & just knows how to vibe without trying too hard lol. We mainly talk about NBA, girls, funny & embarrassing stories & occasionally video games & food. Channel is very new & currently averages about 1k views per video. Engagement is solid.
