I’m 21 with around a 650 credit score. Roughly how much do you think Snap-on would approve me for?
For those of you who have a Snap-on account:
What credit score did you have when you got approved?
What was your starting credit limit?
What do they mainly look at when approving someone?
Score!
I’ve been looking for an additional tool cart for a while and today I pulled the trigger on this 7-drawer Snap-on on Facebook Marketplace. Paid $700 and I’m pretty damn happy with it.
Found this today while walking my dog through the woods. It was in an old leather roll up holder at the side of a derelict concrete building. I must add it was on the remains of an old WW2 American Bomber base in the east of England that was used up until the end of the Cold War and then left abandoned.
I think it’s a 1/2 inch drive but I could be wrong, I’ve only just wiped the surface and put a tiny bit of lubricant on and to me it’s working perfectly fine.
I was just wondering if anyone can put a range of manufacture date, information for use possibly military or any insight in general.
So I purchased this Mr. Big last year, been an awesome box.
After I purchased it, the dealer abandoned our route. We now haven’t seen a snap on truck in about 8 months, and we have a pile of stuff to warranty. Gone through all the normal methods, called snap on a LOT. Between my brother and I, and our other techs, we’ve probably called snap on 60-80 times. They don’t help much on the corp. side of things.
So my question is, are there any snap on higher ups in here that can help us? There’s dealers all over in the surrounding areas, but they’re all scared to come into our area. Totally understandable, but we just need a tool truck to come even once a month…
I appreciate anyone’s help or advice. Thanks!
Do any of you guys use your 1/2 inch digital torque wrench as a breaker bar, debating using mine but I don’t want to damage it
There's no tolerance here at all, I got temp banned for admitting that Milwaukee makes better power tools. The mods here are ridiculous and are NOT interested in being a good resource for techs and laborers. They're more interested in SNAPON DISCUSSION ONLY, NOTHING ELSE. Just figured I'd share. This is jot a place of information, or helping others. It's literally JUST for fanboy/fangirling
Not a snap on hater, have plenty of snap on tools but I’m slowly switching over to other brand because of the warranty process
The snap on franchise trucks quit all the time and good luck getting stuff warrantied from someone other than the guy you bought it from
If they ever go out of business it will be because of that not price
Edit: Thank you everyone for your help! We got a lot of good feedback and tips for maintenance.
hello! my father in law recently passed and we’re having trouble knowing what his tool box is worth. It’s been a difficult estate process, and we would really appreciate some genuine 3rd party advice.
we plan to clean it up before selling. I believe he purchased this set around the early 2000s. people have told us everything between $1,500 to $10,000. it seems like we’re getting taken advantage of by many of the guys we’ve talked to.
They are selling it as "rare" stubby ratchet but the way the end of the handle looks just seems off. Am I crazy or did someone just cut the handle off a longer ratchet?
I bought this 21yrs when it first came out, was eye-wateringly expensive at the time, and has been one of my most frequently used tools over the years. It's been well used, but well cared for.
A little while ago it began skipping and binding. I handed it to my rep to be refurbished under warranty, got it back today, and cannot believe how buttery-smooth it feels! Moments like this is exactly why Snap On is worth the premium price...buy once, buy right.
Designed this box last night and it would be perfect for my line of work.
Anyone have this configuration?
(no pink shaming will be accepted, grow tf up)
What one do you all recommend that will work on UTVs to most 1/2 ton trucks and below?
I used a pair of channels today and I wasn’t happy about it, lol.
Thanks in advance
I really like the design of the ratchets and I want a couple for my personal collection but I don’t want the whole set and idea how to get my hand on some without buying them on eBay or any information on the 250th stuff if it helps I’m from western Pennsylvania :)
