13.8Th Heavy Duty Solder $300

Just finished working on NerdOctaxe 13.8Th Hydro.
It had 5V LDO dead short. Because of that one trace was lifted and melted. I replaced LDO and restored the trace. It is under PCB UV mask now.
If someone is interested in this machine DM.
I also installed heatsinks on the back of PCB VRM area. So it runs cooler.
Mean Well PSU is included.
Free shipping.

Bitaxe Supra Hex 701: Power Fault at 4.2TH/s Overclock (Solution Found)

Hi everyone,

I want to share my experience with the 'Bitaxe Supra Hex 701' while trying to push it to a higher hashrate.

My setting was Freq/Vol 550/1200 (exp hashrate 4.21 TH/s),however the miner started showing "Power fault detected"

I then switched back to the default parameters Freq/Vol 490/1166. It can go 3.75 TH/s stably.

After checking the hardware, I suspected the issue might be related to VRM. I added small heatsinks directly on the inductors, and after that everthing goes well.

My guess is that during high-frequency operation, the inductors were overheating or experiencing increased power loss, causing the power protection circuit to trigger.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Bitaxe Supra Hex 701 when overclocking?

NerdQaxe 6rev — When One VRM Failure Isn’t Enough 😂

🩺 Another NerdQaxe Walked Into the Clinic
Received a NerdQaxe 6rev Solosatoshi today.
The top VRM was lightly melted, and I was a little concerned about removing it without causing more damage to the PCB. It took some time before the patient finally gave up and came loose.
Patience. And only patience. 😄
I cleaned the entire area and replaced a couple of nearby capacitors. The heat around that VRM was extreme, so I didn’t want to leave potentially damaged caps behind.
After everything cooled down, I powered up the patient and ran some tests.
And then… surprise diagnosis. 🩺
The second VRM was overheated too.
This is actually the first time I’ve seen two VRMs fail at the same time on one board. Apparently, one VRM decided not to suffer alone. 😂
I recently had a NerdOctaxe with a similar mystery. After replacing one VRM, I found another one running about 10°C hotter than the others. I replaced that one as well, and the miner became healthier than it had ever been.
Sometimes the patient tells you exactly what’s wrong.
You just have to listen to the temperature. 🌡️🩺

Hydro Pump Curiousity

Does anyone have this circled part of a Hydro miner in broken/non-working condition?
I’d like to open it up and see what’s inside, and check whether it’s possible to reuse the heat-transfer tank with a new external pump.
If anyone has one they’re willing to give away, I’d really appreciate it. I can cover the shipping cost.
Thank you!

New Equipment Arrived MRI Machine

🩺 FINALLY, GUYS… IT HAPPENED.
My clinic has officially decided to invest in a brand-new MRI machine. 😎
After successfully passing all the required exams, completing my practice hours, and getting my certification, I am now officially ready to perform some deep medical diagnostics on your miners.
No more guessing.
No more “it looks fine to me.”
No more judging a miner by its temperature and hoping for the best. 😂
Now it’s time to see the real truth hiding inside those little patients.
With this machine, I can investigate miners that have complicated or unexplained symptoms and find problems that may not be visible during normal testing.
And yes… I can sometimes tell you how serious the condition is and how long your miner may survive if it has an underlying problem that nobody has discovered yet. 🩻
But that's not all.
I can also perform a PSU medical examination and determine whether your power supply is healthy enough to continue treatment… or whether it has reached the point where the only appropriate prescription is:
“Place in trash can immediately.” 🗑😂
I already tested several miners from different suppliers.
And let's just say…
We have a clear winner.
Who is it?
I'm not telling. 😏
I don't advertise here.
From today forward, whenever I see a miner with unstable, unusual, or unexplained behavior, I may put it under the MRI machine before making a diagnosis.
Because sometimes the patient looks perfectly healthy on the outside…
…and the real disease is hiding deep inside. 🩺⚡️
