New 2026 Sonata N Line - Any Experience with Full Front PPF?

Hi All,

I just purchased a 2026 Sonata N Line and considering PPF for the first time ever. Any experience from Sonata owners on the value and/or effectiveness? I have the Aero Silver color and looking at roughly $2,000 before taxes to PPF the front bumper, full hood, mirrors and front fenders. Thanks for any feedback.

Picking one up this week. What mods should I drop on it?

I'll be picking up a 2024 Sonata N Line this week. 19k miles. (It was a lease trade in)

Mind you, I am coming from driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado, so my concept of "modding" is very different. Does the car need a Strut Bar installed? Also what kind of Intake / Exhaust should I be looking at?

First trip to drag strip

Was at a high school drag race challenge this weekend and decided to make a few passes in my 2025 N-Line.

Best speed was 104mph, best time was 14.5 in the quarter mile.

Car had more to give. Wheel hop was TERRIBLE. I lined up in launch mode. Hit the gas at the third yellow light and felt/heard things just bang. Three or four real hard knocks before I let off the throttle about half way so it could grab. My reaction time after that was quite terrible, average of .7. I was spending a lot of time stressing about how much I was hitting the gas to avoid those hateful noises and not hurt the car. I drove one of our other cars and managed .233. Lowering tire pressure helped a bit, but not enough.

Going to look at a set of slicks for next year. Also very interested in a tune. Is there something that would get rid of that hop?

Ezpass Placement

Curious where people are putting their EZpass on their Sonata. Where the rear-view is there's a large black hunk of plastic. If you stick it below that it's visible in your line of sight. Anyone know if I stick it high ON the black thing, tucked behind the rear view - us that going to interfere with blue link antenna or ezpass readers at tolls?

Trading sonata for Elantra N

Trading a '24 Sel Sonata for an Elantra N '26.

Sonata has all the bills and whistles except radar cruise and LKA or other steer systems. Panoramic sunroof too.

Mostly scared about the continence of the infotainment and how quiet the sonata road noise wise

Splash shield Help

Bought this car 2 weeks ago and the splash shield was hanging the 2nd day. Any luck on splash shields online for the N line 2023. Dealers are taxing.

Since getting the update on Tuesday when I click the Service Maintenance tab….

So before the update I would get the approximate mileage until the next maintenance is required. Now all I get is a pop up saying to go to owners.hyundaiusa.com to set it up. But it doesn’t say how to do that. Anyone else’s doing this too?

Which Sonata N Line should I buy?

I am torn between two Sonata N Lines at my local dealership, and plan to buy one next weekend.

2023 Sonata N Line, 49,970 miles, $22,200

2024 Sonata N Line, 18,000 miles, $29,000

Both are CPO. I am trying to figure out if 32,000 miles, one year newer and new tech is worth $6,800.

I like the front end of the 2023 significantly more than the other, but the higher mileage worries me some.

Any suggestions?

Apple Car play broken

Anyone’s apple car play break after the latest update? Already tried deleting and repairing the device but still can’t connect.

Edit: fixed mine by resetting the infotainment by pressing the button near the right knob and resetting my phone. Hope this helps!

Spoiler switch

Will be getting a 2026 N-line. I dont think the spoiler looks aggressive enough. I prefer the PSM style spoilers. I know the stock spoiler has the trunk release designed into it. Is it possible to replace it?

New to the N line

Picked up this car 2 weeks ago, traded in my 2018 Sonata. Loving how much power this car has and how smooth it is to drive!

Trailer Tire Blowout

Passing through Arkansas, I had a trailers tire blowout, hitting my car with the mud flap, and tire. I was also sprayed by gravel, covering my bumper, fender, and windshield with chips, as well as destroying my passenger wheel liner, splash guard, and breaking some lower bumper trim. I called Arkansas state police because they didn't stop, and they asked me to pull over and wait. I didn't get any DOT info. Arkansas SP wont create any accident or incident report to give USAA. Both USAA, and Arkansas SP had nothing come up on the plate, and South Carolina SP wont run the plate because this didn't happen in SC, so they're not obligated. What can I do? I don't believe there's NO information out there.

Edit: Insurance, Arkansas SP had no results from the tag, recommended I call SC state police, but they wont run the tag.

Anyone running their NLine in the rust belt?

Looking at possibly getting a N-line or K5 gt later this year, but seeing as it would be my only vehicle and living in SW PA, just curious how these FWD bois are doing in the snow. Id assume tossing on some snow tires would suffice, but does anyone have any actual experience with these in the snow?

Workaround for climate start not working in most recent updated mobile app

My car doesn't turn the A/C on when I do climate start from the app (presumably due to a bad update last year), and the fix has been to climate start, turn the car off, then climate start again. That was working great until they updated the phone app and the "Stop" button disappeared. Here's the fix (it's super easy):

After doing the climate start from the app, the new climate start button goes from "Climate Off" to "Climate On" and turns dark blue for a few seconds, maybe like 10 seconds, before going back to light blue and saying "Climate Off". You must hit that dark blue "Climate On" button while it is still dark blue and that sends the "off" command. Then turn the car back on using climate start and voilà!

If you wait too long after the first time you use climate start, and the button reverts to "Climate Off", you're too late and it won't work. Hopefully this works for you all. Cheers!
