Road trip pics

Went last month to the Smokies and Blue Ridge Parkway from Chicago suburbs, got these pictures. She held up really well ended up putting 4k miles on her in a week. Also hit the Outer Banks in North Carolina (unfortunately didnt take any pictures there). Currently have her at 42k miles, i initially bought it with 18.5k miles last November. Best car I have ever owned, can’t wait for our next adventures. Next stop White Mountains in October!!!

Free Nline stuff in MN

Anybody w and Nline in Minneapolis area want some free stuff? I traded my 2022 Nline in recently and I’ve got a set of ceramic brake pads, cabin air filter and some summer tires (Chinese brand and they suck in the rain ngl). Don’t need any money for the stuff, just want to help out a fellow car guy/gal. I loved my Nline so much but decided to go EV to save money since I’ve got free charging at work.

Hit and "almost" run

Old lady managed to clip my rear bumper in an almost empty parking lot. She was cutting through the parking lot and turned too close. She tried to run away, but, good thing, some bystanders were around and stopped her until we came out of the store. So here is the damage: I just called the dealership—parts only upper and lower bumper $1100 CAD. That doesn't include labor and paint. Doesn't wanna go through insurance but at this point probably looking at 2k repair.

Curbed my shit a month in😢

Anybody know where and how i can get this fixed in the Southeast Houston area? I dont think those paint blended techniques would do it unless yall think otherwise, I assume re-machining would be the best method?

Question about tire quality.

I might have to buy a new tire due to a nail in my tire. Gives me an Oppurtunity to upgrade all of them and get the rims I want. Any good recommendations on good tires? I was looking at continental but i cant find anywhere near me that has them or will mount them if I bring them. Someone suggested Hankooks.

Any suggestions would be great!

Update 07/01/26

Hyundai is comical with this update. Hyundai MyQ connected Garage $45 a year to remote open my garage from my screen? Yeah I'm good my garage door came with its own remote lol. Now it makes sense why they removed the garage door buttons from the mirror. Hyundai better not be planning on doing stupid ass subscriptions. Next you will pay to use your heated seats ect.

Car wont start

2024 Hyundai Sonata won't start up. Check the battery and we're at full voltage.

Infotainment/speedometer turns on.

Key FOB is registering. It'll lock, unlock etc

Tried pressing fob to start, no dice.

disconnecting battery for reset, no dice.

It looks like anti theft is on, any suggestions?

25 sonata lost acceleration.

My 25 Sonata N Line earlier today just lost all acceleration. Wouldn't get past 40 mph. Finally found a spot to pull off and turned the car off and back on. Then everything was back to normal. Has anybody else had any issues like this?

Anyone without window tints?

I thought about tinting only my back windows but I’m debating if it’s even worth it, it’s just a car that gets me from point A to point B, I don’t have to tint it. I can put that $150 towards my car payments instead of wasting it on a tint I don’t need to have. Anyone else without tints?

Octane Learning

Hey all, I’m getting mixed signals from my research online. To my understanding, the Elantra N is the car that is stated to have bonafide octane learning. Would a 2024 Sonata N Line gain any additional benefits from running higher grade fuel? Thanks you.

Edit: Thank you all for clearing that up!!

Joined the club, engine break in

Bought a new Sonota N line. 2025 hold over that had a good amount off msrp. Behaving myself per the manual keeping it under 4k rpms for the first 600 miles. Did you guys change the oil after break in? Thinking of changing the oil at 1k myself with an oem filter or is it ok to change it at 3-4k? So far in love. I’ve had wrx’s , focus st, and a Infiniti q50 and this one wins hearts and minds so far for a turbo car.

Steering wheel command to stop 'Speed warning'

Hi guys,

Upgraded my 2021 n-line sonata to a sexy new 2026 model - and I'm looking for a quick and reliable way of disabling the 'speed warning' bleeping sound every time i start the engine.

I'm aware that in Australia - i believe - its mandatory not to store this into a profile or setting - and the best I've come up with atm is to bind one of my 'star' buttons to that page and click it off every time i start the car.

Is there a secret hidden 'hold mute' or something to simply turn the speed warning bleeps off that I can put into muscle memory without going through menus every time?

Thanks friends,
