I wanna start writing songs but I struggle to be creative and make the words sound interesting or poetic. For example in the song lonely avenue it goes “now my room has got two windows, but the sunshine never comes through” which is a clever way to convey depression and loneliness. If I were to try to convey those feelings the best thing I could write would be something like “since you’ve been gone the nights have felt so long” which doesn’t really sound as poetic or clever. How do songwriters think that way?

It’s been a while since I’ve actually taken the time to sit down and try to write a song. Well I started getting back to music and songwriting recently, but find myself constantly stuck. I go to YouTube for inspiration, where I watch other artists go through their creative processes, listen to new albums and songs, but still nothing comes to me.

Please give me some advice or direction so I can pick it up again.

Hello, I'm currently trying to make a song in Waveform 14, but I need lyrics. I don't own a microphone ( and I also personally hate my voice), so I was wondering if there are any good FREE software's where I can just type in lyrics, and the AI sings . I can then export it to Waveform, where I can add it to my song.

* The AI does not do anything else for the song

Almost afraid to post this here because of the negativity around AI. I love music, but I’m not a musician. I wanted to write lyrics and hear them turned into songs that sound somewhere in the neighborhood of my favorite bands, Pink Floyd and Radiohead. I know I’m not going to achieve that 😊, but I’d still love to get some honest feedback.
I understand any criticism about the music being AI-generated, and I respect it. I’m not doing this to make money. I’m just doing it because I enjoy writing and creating something I can listen to.

Hello all! I'm brand new here. This is my first post on this forum. (I Think 😅- the other one didn't seem to go through) Just want some thoughts on my song. Thanks for taking a few minutes to listen and comment!

I have recently been obsessed with "Labour" by Paris Pamola, "Feed Us Your Girls" by Lydia the Bard, and "Barefoot and Pregnant" by Gwen Levy and the Breakdown. It breaks my heart that so many men see women, our better half, as nothing more than inhumane holes. It's terrifying and I want to write something in that vein; something to empower women, to call out the bad men, and to push for a better world for tomorrow through very visceral imagery.

Hey, I’ve just released a new song!

Put a lot into it and I’d genuinely like to get it in front of people who might dig it.

Starts as piano ballad, suddenly explodes into the chorus, then drops into a blues-rock riff.

Give it a listen if it looks like your thing.

I can write lyrics and create songs with these lyrics. The problem is, i can't produce, and I want to have my lyrics involved in a song. I just don't know where to start, i'm really new to this. Any advice?

Anyone else keep writing stuff with similar flows? how do you try writing different lyrics
