Just got my hands on a fully pristine SONY TRV-110e handycam today. The battery is obviously dead but that I can find easily with a quick google search. The issue is the with the tapes. The camera films on 8mm Hi-8 and Digital 8 tapes which have been obsolete for nearly 2 decades, making it really hard to find online. On top of this the way different tape types are labelled is a b it confusing to me, and I don’t really trust a lot of used tapes due to wear. Any good pointers on where to get good quality blank tapes that wouldn’t run me too much?
