Missing the button to transfer sophia credits to Credly?

i have sophia linked to umpi (i think lol still new) have completed several courses and get the email about requesting my transcripts but because of the whole sanction thing going on with other people i wanted to get them to credly first to keep safe for myself in case i was wrongly accused or there was an issue (having all my hard work erased for the potential of being wrongly accused would destroy me) i don’t see anywhere of a button to link to credly right now on any of my different courses i’ve completed so far.

does anyone know if i can just ask them to make that an option / has anyone done this before? thank you!

BS Computer Science Students: Did you transfer credits from Sophia or Study.com?

Hi everyone,

I see many students talking about transferring credits from Sophia Learning and Study.com to save time and money at UoPeople.

Has anyone done this for the B.S. in Computer Science at UoPeople?

Which Sophia/Study.com courses did you transfer?

How many credits were accepted?

Which courses would you recommend taking outside UoPeople?

Were there any courses that UoPeople did not accept?

Would you recommend this approach?

I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and any advice.

Thanks!

Updates on Transfer Credits (Personal Experience)

After around 3 weeks of waiting for my Transfer Credits and escalating the matter to an Advisor/Supervisor, my Sophia credits have all been credited. I took 22 courses in Sophia and they were all credited towards my degree and didn't have to pay even for the 2 extra ones on top of the 20 they initially published.

Right now I'm trying to transfer some credits from Saylor. Previously, they asked for a transcript from Saylor since they did not accept the ACE document that was generated. I emailed Saylor to release a copy of the transcript which they handed in about a day or two.

If all the Saylor courses I proposed to be credited are approved, I will have 11 courses left to complete to fulfill the 120-credit requirement for graduation. I was thinking of doing 2 more courses at Study.com but decided I'll take all the 12 on UoPeople since the price difference is not that much and might be cheaper at UoPeople with financial aid.

Wishing everyone the best.

List of classes without a touchstone?

Is there an updated list of classes without touchstones? I want to easily find classes to take while waiting for another class to be graded. It seems like a lot of the information online hasn’t been updated. Classes that were known to be multiple choice only have changed. Thanks for the help!

I need quick answers please, can I dothe final milestone immediately after submitting the final touchstone?

what about the touchstone tasks?
i only did the final touchstone, i was under the impression that i only need to do the final one, because it said the course has one touchstone, not five.
for context, it's the intro to networking course, this is my dahboard

Sophia classes needed for Bachelors in business admin/minor in project management

I'd like to start knocking all of my courses out on Sophia. School is very overwhelming for me (adhd) so any details are greatly appreciated!!! I have no prior college classes, starting from zero. Below are my questions:

Can I finish all 90 transfer credits on Sophia alone?

I cant find a clear set of gen ed classes for Umpi, their sites down or something, What gen ed classes do I need to take?

What classes outside gen eds are required to get accepted into their business bachelors program?

And once i complete those, I can choose any electives until I get to 90 credits, and then i'm good to go, yes?

I'm so grateful to have found this way to do schooling. I fail in traditional school settings. This is so awesome snd thanks to all the great resources out there already, you guys are game changers in spreading awareness 🔥💥🎓

Am I required ? Touchstone/Microsoft 365

It’s my first time using Sophia and I’ve got to the part in the course called touchstone. It gave a template but it’s with Microsoft word and I don’t wanna pay for that subscription. Is it absolutely required to use Microsoft word ?

Integrity Violations

I just started this Sophia Learning course to get some credits for WGU.

I've seen way too many posts about people getting nabbed for integrity violations.

Does anyone know exactly what Sophia Learning is looking for when it comes to integrity violations?

Can we all come together make a list of integrity checks so a moderator can make a sticky/pin on this subreddit group?

Maybe if we had that, we wouldn't see so many people getting burned.

Business 312 study.com

Has anyone else struggled with the 4 assignments with business 312 on study.com? I'm having a hard time understand ing what the question is even asking. I enjoyed the quizzes and chapter tests, learn quite a lot. These assignments are barely related to the coursework. Thank you

Study.com refund

I know this might not be related but I know a lot of people here use study too. I downgraded my membership after reactivating a legacy membership and I was told per study.coms website and through their support team, that they’d refund the difference in memberships after I activated the new one. It’s been almost a month, I’ve emailed over 10 times and submitted two support cases, I was told this was being escalated and then I never hear back. I called the support number and it tells me to reach out to support via email or that support will reach out to me. Both of these options don’t work because I can’t get a reply. I paid for this on my credit card and I don’t want to put in a claim with my credit card provider because I am still actively using study.com

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

Calculus I

There are 5 milestones and a final one left to be tackled, and I'm scared what if I fail any of them. It took me 16 days to unlock them all. Wish me luck because I'm going to need it!

👀 last grade and end of subscription

Hey guys, I'm waiting on my last grade. I don't think it'll be graded until tomorrow. Can I cancel and still get credit for that last grade since I'm done with all course work and don't have anymore courses? Or will I have to pay for a whole month of Sophia just for them to give me that grade?

Lmk!

Thanks!

College credits for Rank

Hey yall, im signing my contract in September for active duty army as a 25B. I just got 67 credits to become E-3 before I sign. I transferred credits from sophia and my other college to Purdue Global. When I tried to order an official transcript it wouldn't let me, they canceled it and gave me my refund back. Is it because I signed up for a term and have my classes that didnt start yet? How do I go about this? I was thinking about withdrawing since its my first term at Purdue, and just get the official transcript to my recruiter and start school once ei get into my 1st base or what not.

Is this how 8-week> term universities work?

The way I was calculating the graduation timeline is if I transfer in 60 credits (from Sophia + Study.com) in to a CS degree , that means I have 2 years left whether I start in July or August, but now I’m realizing that’s not how it is, that’s how it is for traditional semesters (usually i know it’s 30 credits per year max) but not the same with a uni that runs 8-week long terms at 6 terms per year or 3 trimesters at 19-24 credits allowed each…

meaning that if I transfer in 60 credits and start by August, naturally I should have 2 years left (120 credits over 4 years normally, 60 over 2 years) but no apparently, it depends on how much credits a university allows you to do per year and you can finish the rest much faster. (Whether it’s 9 credits X 6 terms = 54 credits/Yr or 24 credits per trimester X 3 = 72 credits per year max - generally just around double the usual 30cr/yr)

for example at excelsior you can max out 72 credits a year (difficult but conservatively, probably around 60-65 is good)

Meaning that if I have 60 left, I could finish it in a year or less starting from August, and depending on the uni and how much they allow per year because of their short, back to back terms, these 60 credits can be done in either under a year to 1.5 years (being conservative towards earlier graduation)…is this how it is with these universities who have short terms (8 weeks>, or just generally allow 54+ credits a year) or am I missing something?

Because for the last long while I was always calculating that if I transfer 50-60 credits and start in August I’d graduate after 2 years, but I just figured out the short term system thing and realized you could finish the rest of it much quicker ( a year or so)

Would really appreciate your insights

Should I join Sophia Learning or is it another scam? I genuinely can’t waste my time or my money.

Looking to finish college, can’t spend a lot of money, when I first looked at University of Maryland Global Campus it was appealing that I could transfer most of my old credits. This was suggested to me as another way to get some credits. Has anyone actually used Sophia Learning for credits towards a degree? I don’t want to waste $ on what seems like a subscription
