Which profiles I should use when I start out. The ones that come out of the box in orca, the Sovol google drive (they are 2.5 years old) or is there a place where community has improved them. I tried the out of the box orca slicer sv08 profile and it is printing directly to the plate, just enough gap to not scratch it. The premade gcode benchy that comes with the printer prints fine. I have done every leveling process and I just believe this orca profile puts the nozzle too close. I tried to add a little bit more z-offset but I should not need to put layers worth more so I'm starting to think this maybe a start g-code issue. I will anyway try the google drive profiles but in the meanwhile wanted to ask what is the best starting point for someone new to the printer.

My 4 month old SV08 with microswiss began skipping / losing steps and essentially lost its ability to print after a long print ram out of filament sand sat for 10 hours with the end at temp (filament sensor paused it but didn't idle the hot end) but the last few layers before it ran out were junk but I figured the filament tangled a little or something. You can see this in the last picture. Replaced the filament and tried to print again and the quality was horrendous. Extreme under extruding and the extruder sounded like it was missing steps or out of sync or something

I took apart the extruder, cleaned everything in the end, extruder gears, everything. No change. Replaced the microswiss flowtech hot end. No change. Replaced the whole extruder with a brand new one from Sovol to rule out boards and stepper. Started calibrating the printer again and it was looking good but by the time I got past the pressure advance calibration it was making the noise again and quality was going down hill. I tried a few prints with a larger base to get the first layer dialed and it's getting to the point it was when I initially had the problem

I'm pulling my hair out trying to resolve this. So I can finish up a few prints before I go out of town in a week
