B by 27Shaw (A Review)

Facade:

With the newest (third) branch located in Poblacion, Makati, the “B” logo adorned with florals is highly eye-catching and visually appealing to passersby—especially those already familiar with the brand.

Recommendation:

Given that the area is well known for bars and hotels within Makati’s CBD, it would be beneficial to have a staff member stationed outside to initially engage and assess incoming guests. This approach can help ensure that visitors clearly understand the nature of the establishment and align with its target market, as the venue may otherwise be mistaken for a bar or even a low-rise hotel.

Entrance and Reception Layout:

Upon entering the establishment, the reception area is located on the left side, though the space is notably narrow. Adjacent to it on the right is the area designated for robe and towel distribution. It was also observed that there are no available benches or seating options for guests who may need to wait for assistance, which could impact overall comfort and guest experience.

Guest Assistance and Amenities:

The ushers were notably accommodating and attentive, contributing positively to the overall guest experience. It was also observed that the slippers provided are relatively new, having only been introduced recently. However, as they are offered in a single free size, they may not comfortably accommodate all guests. For instance, individuals with larger foot sizes (my size is 11) may find the fit inadequate, which could affect comfort during their visit.

The locker area is generally spacious; however, capacity may become limited for guests carrying larger personal items. In my case, I had to leave my bag at the reception as I came directly from work. While the locker compartments may technically fit bigger bags, space can feel cramped when accommodating essential items such as robes, towels, and shoes alongside personal belongings, which may affect overall convenience.

Vanity and Restroom Area:

Adjacent to the locker area is the vanity section, which is well-equipped with mirrors across most corners, enhancing its overall functionality and visual appeal. However, it was noted that there are only two toilet bowls located on the left side of the area. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in this shared space is essential, as any lapse could significantly impact the usability and overall experience of the vanity section.

Vanity Area Engagement:

It was also observed that some guests were taking selfies within the vanity area, likely due to it being a newer design feature introduced in the latest branches. This highlights its visual appeal and indicates strong potential as an organic promotional touchpoint, as guests are encouraged to share their experience on social media—supporting brand visibility and engagement.

Main Facilities Overview:

Beyond the entrance, guests are led to the main areas, which include the pool, steam room, labyrinth (combined), and sauna.

Pool:

The pool is relatively smaller compared to the other two branches. However, its size creates a more intimate setting, which may appeal to guests looking for a quieter and more relaxing experience. To further enhance this, it is recommended to adjust the lighting to a dimmer level to create a calmer and more refreshing ambiance.

Shower Stalls:

The shower stalls are enclosed and feature a design patterned after French windows. While locks are provided for added privacy, silhouettes of individuals inside can still be visible due to the design. Although the locking feature is optional and depends on the guest’s preference, this setup may still raise privacy considerations.

Sauna:

The sauna is comparable in size and overall setup to those in the T and Shaw branches, with no significant new features or enhancements noted.

Steam Room and Labyrinth:

The combined steam room and labyrinth area is notably spacious and has been regarded as one of the largest among Men-Exclusive Spa branches. While this is a strong feature of the location, it is suggested to consider separating the labyrinth from the steam room. This distinction was a unique aspect of the T branch and contributed to a more varied and differentiated guest experience compared to the Shaw branch.

Wet Area Stay and Service Pricing:

I did not spend much time in the wet area, as I was primarily looking forward to the service I availed, particularly the Everyman. It was also noted that there has been an increase in rates compared to previous visits, which may be worth reviewing in terms of overall value perception for returning guests.

Second Floor Lounge Experience:

The establishment spans four floors, with the second floor dedicated to a relaxation lounge where guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments such as Blue Lemonade, Moringa tea, and chocolate chip cookies. The space effectively brings together various design elements, creating a cohesive yet distinctly maximalist aesthetic—evident in the mix of chairs, wallpapers, and decorative accents.

Despite the visually rich design, the area remains comfortable and conducive to relaxation. In fact, the lounge provides a restful environment, as I nearly fell asleep on the sofa after my massage.

Upper Floors Experience (3rd & 4th Levels):

The third floor houses the massage rooms, providing a dedicated and quiet space for core service delivery.

The fourth floor features a bar area, creatively named BARe, which includes a mini bar setup and an adjoining open-air section. This outdoor space incorporates nipa hut–inspired seating, adding a local and distinctive design element. Some of the seating pieces are limited in number and may benefit from further expansion to accommodate more guests comfortably.

The open-air concept provides a unique opportunity to elevate the overall guest experience, particularly as a social and relaxation space.

Recommendation:

It may be worth enhancing the fourth floor by positioning it as a more refined lounge area, possibly through dimmer ambient lighting and a more cohesive seating layout. Strengthening its identity as a premium relaxation and social space could further differentiate the Makati branch and provide guests with a memorable, elevated experience aligned with the brand.

Massage Service Experience:

Everyman

The massage was truly exceptional—especially as this was my first time availing Everyman, and it definitely did not disappoint.

From the warm-up to the actual massage, everything was top-notch.

The therapist was highly professional. I particularly appreciated how he regularly checked if the pressure was just right, since I requested a moderate level. That attention to detail and consideration made the experience even better.
I also valued how he maintained a quiet and respectful atmosphere throughout the session, allowing me to fully relax while he focused on his work. It really showed his professionalism and respect for privacy.

During the service, I found myself fully immersed in the experience—to the point of momentarily forgetting that I was inside B. The overall quality of the massage was exceptional.

The therapist demonstrated a high level of professionalism, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor throughout. There was no sense of rushing; each part of the service was delivered with care and attentiveness. His technique was precise and respectful, with clear attention to maintaining appropriate boundaries at all times.

Overall, the therapist’s professionalism and skill stood out, reflecting strong training and experience—likely from a reputable background.

This level of service significantly contributed to a positive and memorable experience.

Recognition of Service Excellence:

Should it be appropriate, I would be happy to share the therapist’s name privately, as I believe his craftsmanship and professionalism truly deserve recognition. It would be well-deserved for him to be acknowledged for the quality of service he delivers.

I would happy to know if you have reach this point of reading, kindly provide your comments down below or send a note so I could share my experiences with T, B and 27Shaw.

Thank you for reading!

Sensual and release

I had been going to Alpha spa for quite awhile and had been a regular too. Although tagal na since the last time I visited.

That day, the usual, bayad sa reception then pili ng time, change to towel, and then showered. Btw I selected the sensual one.

Okay ang buong duration ng massage, no complaints. Although na weirdan lng ako kasi usually before pag sinabi mo n youre close, they’d make you hold your dck and you stroke it till u finish. That night si thera ang nag release sakin, Ive been telling him na I’m close but he kept doing it himself.

Anyone has experienced this too? Haha

Spa with release

What are the spas in Metro Manila where therapists would offer you a release (for free) after a sensual massage? The only spa I know that does this is Alph@. I am not sure if meron pa sa iba. The last time I tried Infinity, sensual massage lang. Hehe

B by 27Shaw in Makati, PH: Read Before You Visit

The third branch of 27Shaw finally opened last Friday, May 15, 2026. They chose Burgos, Poblacion, Makati, Philippines as the location. Size-wise, it is smaller than the Timog branch but slightly bigger than the Shaw branch. Lucky for me, I live near Burgos, so I can visit without dealing with the hassle of travel, waiting in traffic like going to the Main Branch, or paying toll fees like when heading to the Timog branch. I’m only around five minutes away from Burgos. If you are familiar with Hoesik, Starbucks Kalayaan, or St. Giles Hotel, it is very close to those places.

Just turn onto the street, and you will immediately see R Wellness. That’s how close they are to each other.

Price and Services Offered

Okay, let’s start with the elephant in the room: the price increase at 27Shaw. Personally, I already anticipated it. Seabliss, Nexus, and others have also increased their prices by around 100 to 200 pesos. R and 4S already have a base service price of 1,399 pesos. I can accept the price increase, but my only comment is that they should lower the Innocent service from 1,800 to 1,700 pesos, since the steam feature is no longer included.

The Burgos branch offers almost the same services as the Main Branch. Prices are standardized across all branches. VIP services remain exclusive to the Timog branch.

Basic Amenities

There are three parking slots in front of B by 27Shaw. I would expect customers to struggle a bit with parking since many gay clients drive. Thankfully, there are paid parking areas nearby as well as street parking around Poblacion.

The reception area is smaller than the ones in the T or Shaw branches. B by 27Shaw is designed more vertically than horizontally. It has four floors instead of the Main Branch’s two floors and Timog’s three floors, so naturally, there is some compromise in the reception area’s size. Hopefully, they add benches in the reception area, since the place will surely get crowded during peak hours and days.

Since this is a new branch, the robes and slippers are brand new. And honestly, the slippers now have a much better grip, so you no longer have to worry about slipping. The locker area is decent for its size. I think you should avoid oversize bags, since they may not fit in the lockers. Medium-sized bags and laptops can fit, but those giant old ThinkPads? Probably not.

Wet Area

This is the real playground for the gays.

B is fully equipped: it has a large sauna that is properly hot, exactly how a sauna should be. The steam room and labyrinth were combined, creating one massive steam room with entrance and exit doors at both ends. It is the biggest steam room in the Philippines.

They also have an intimate jacuzzi that is smaller but feels much more private than the other branches. There are around six to seven shower stalls with lockable doors, so whether you are “playing around” in the shower or simply bathing alone, nobody can peek at you anymore.

Lounge Area and Bar

They absolutely overdid it this time, in a good way.

The lounge is huge and beautifully designed. They now have proper sofas and chairs, making the lounge feel very cozy. The lounge is located on the second floor, while the bar, which they call “BARe,” is on the fourth floor. And yes, they serve alcoholic drinks. Of course, you are in the heart of Poblacion, so drinks are practically a requirement.

The drinks range from 160 to 380 pesos. The cocktails are actually good, and the bartender is attractive too. Their Amaretto Sour is especially worth trying. Just make sure to bring your phone or cards upstairs because it is pay-as-you-order at the bar.

There is also an outdoor area on the same floor as the bar, complete with lounge seating. It is perfect for flirting and mingling while surrounded by the Makati skyline.

Massage and Scrub Rooms

The massage rooms are located on the third floor. The massage rooms and cubicles in the Burgos branch are slightly larger than those at Timog. There are more than 30 massage rooms in total.

Meanwhile, the scrub rooms are located on the second floor. There is a door beside the lounge that leads into the scrub area. Dare I say it: these are the best scrub room interiors so far. Clean, intimate, and spacious. The scrub beds are also wider. If you haven't tried the Innocent service yet, this is the perfect branch to try it.

Therapists and Services

Currently, no new therapists have been assigned exclusively to Burgos. Their current lineup comes from therapists from the two older branches. To name a few: Jazz, Kurt, Ace, James, Jercy, Brix, Cristoff, Teo, Erick, and others. It is honestly a strong lineup. They clearly want to shake things up in Makati.

27 Shaw’s branding has always been about quality service with no extras, and I am sure they want to maintain that reputation.

Areas for Improvement

  1. Hopefully, they add a floor guide near the reception area so customers will not get confused about where to go, whether for massage rooms, scrub rooms, or the bar area.
  2. I suggest adding more lighting inside the steam room. You can still see, but it takes some getting used to.
  3. Add towel hooks near the pool area or on the nearby walls so customers do not need to bring their towels into the pool itself.

Final Thoughts

B by 27Shaw is not just entering the Makati all-men’s spa scene. It is actively redefining it.

From the moment you step inside, there is a quiet certainty that this brand operates on a different level, setting standards instead of following them. If they can sustain the same level of excellence that defines their other branches, Makati may not remain a competitive battleground for long.

It is only a matter of time before B by 27Shaw claims the crown.

Weekdays sa Spa?

Kumusta mga spa during weekdays? May good crowds ba during non-peak days?

Madalas weekend lang ako and nag-eenjoy ako kapag crowded na mga spa since mas madami options to fun lol. Pero since I’m planning weekdays, I’m curious to try pa rin and it’s fine if hindi ganun ka-crowded basta may tao since mas awkward ako if ako lang mag-isa. Can you recommend spa na matao pa rin kahit weekdays?

Thank you.

B by 27Shaw: In-Depth Review

The 3^(rd) branch of 27Shaw finally opened last Friday, May 15, 2026. They chose Burgos, Poblacion in Makati as the location. Size-wise, it is smaller than the Timog branch but a little bigger than the Shaw branch. Lucky me, I am near the Burgos area so I get to visit nang hindi nahahassle sa byahe, naghihintay sa traffic (just like sa Main Branch), or nagbabayad ng toll (just like sa Timog Branch). If familiar kayo sa Hoesik, or Starbucks Kalayaan , or St. Giles Hotel malapit lang sya doon.

Price and Services Offered

Okay, let’s start with the elephant in the room which is ung price increase ng 27Shaw. Personally, anticipated ko naman na un. Seabliss, Nexus etc has increased their prices ng about 100 to 200 pesos rin.

Basic Amenities

May tatlong parking slots sa harap ng B by 27Shaw. I would expect medyo mahihirapan ang mga customers since maraming bading ang may sasakyan. Thankfully, may mga pay parking naman sa paligid and may street parking rin within Pobla. The reception area is smaller than T or Shaw branches. Ang B by 27Shaw kasi is more tall than wide. Four floors sya instead of the two floors ng Main and the three floors ng Timog. So for sure may compromise nang kaunti sa surface area ng front desk. Hopefully, malagyan nila ng bench ung recep area kasi for sure dagsa ang tao pag peak days and hours and gustong maupo ng mga bading.

Since new branch, bago ang mga robes and slippers. And infairness, makapit na ung sole ng slippers so di ka na madudulas. Locker area is substantial for its size. I don’t think so.

Wet Area

A nice feature is pinagsama ung Steam room and Labyrinth so you get a large steam room with two entrance/exit doors on both ends. Probably the biggest steam room sa lahat ng nasa Pilipinas. Dito nangyayari ang "bakbakan" kumbaga. They have an intimate jacuzzi na smaller size but mas private compared sa other branches. They have around 6-7 shower stalls na may door na pwedeng i-lock so kung gumaganap kayo sa shower or naliligo ka magisa, wala nang makakasilip sayo.

Lounge Area and Bar

They overdid this time. Lounge is located sa 2^(nd) floor while ung bar which they call “BARe” ay nasa 4^(th) floor. And yes, they serve alcoholic drinks. Of course, nasa heart of Poblacion ka, you must serve drinks! The drinks are priced 160 to 380 pesos. Masarap naman ung drinks at masarap ung bartender eme. Their Amaretto sour is good! Be sure to bring your phone or cards lang sa bar kasi pay as you order ang kalakaran.

May outdoor area rin na same floor as bar. Then, may mga lounge seats rin doon, so pwedeng-puwede mag-landian ang mga bading surrounded by the Makati skylights.

Massage and Scrub Rooms

The massage rooms are located sa 3^(rd) floor. I would say more than 30 massage rooms siguro un.

On the other hand, ung scrub rooms naman are located sa 2^(nd) floor. May door sa gilid ng lounge, which is the entrance sa scrub area. Dare I say, best scrub room interior so far. Clean, intimate, spacious. And mas malawak ung scrub bed. If you haven’t tried Innocent yet, maybe its time to try it sa Burgos branch.

Therapists Available

Currently, wala pang mga new thera na nasa Burgos. Their current lineup comes from therapists ng dalawang older branches. To name a few, nandun si Jazz, Kurt, Ace, James, Jercy, Brix, Cristoff, Teo, Erick etc. Solid lineup naman I must say. Sila rin mga nirerecommend ko. They really want to shake things up a bit in Makati. Meron talagang gustong patunayan at kahit OG nang other branch like Jazz, nilagay sa Burgos to serve customers. Quality service with no extra service naman talaga ang branding ng 27Shaw and for sure they’d like to keep it that way.

Areas for Improvement

Konti lang naman comments ko but nice to have:

  1. Lagyan sana ng floor guide sa may recep area para di maligaw ung customers kung saan pupunta if massage room ba or scrub rooms or Bar area.

  2. Lagyan ng kaunti pang lights ung steam room I guess. Makakakita ka naman but it will take some getting used to

Final Thoughts

B by 27Shaw isn’t just entering the Makati All Men’s Spa scene. It is actively redefining it. From the moment you step inside, there is a quiet certainty that this brand operates on a higher level, setting standards rather than following them. If they sustain the same level of excellence that defines their other branches, Makati will not remain a competitive ground for long. It’s only a matter of time before B by 27Shaw claims the crown.

The Subtle Art of Tipping Your Therapists

Hello mga ka All Men’s Spa! (LOL). Today, let’s talk about the tipping or “pagti-tip” culture sa loob ng mga gay spa dito sa Pilipinas. While this also applies to normal spas and massage places, I will talk about tipping based sa personal experiences ko sa loob ng All Men’s Spas. Hindi ES ang itotopic natin but tip for a standard therapist service.

Let’s start with the definition of tipping or tips. Tip is a voluntary form of appreciation we give to our therapist for their services. So two key points dito ay VOLUNTARY and THERAPIST.

What are the types of Tips?

  2. In-Kind Tip: not usual. Example: Grocery, sapatos, gift cards etc.
  3. Pre-service tip: ito ung tip na binibigay before pa man mag start ung service. Usually nangyayari to pag regular therapist mo na ung kinuha mo and may rapport na kayo.
  4. Post-service tip: tip na binibigay after matapos ung masahe or service. Mas maganda to kasi mas may idea ka magkano ibibigay mo sa thera depending sa level of excellence ng service nila.

How to give your tip?

Paiba-iba sya per spa but I’ll try to list down ung mga kabisado ko:

What is the correct amount of tip to give to your therapist?

Ito na ang burning question. But the truth is subjective talaga. Depende sa capacity mo to give and sa satisfaction na nakuha mo from the service. Dapat lagi kang hindi sure or “titignan mo pa”. Huwag mo paasahin ung therapist. Para rin hindi ka mapressure. Personally, here’s my matrix:

100 PHP: pag unsatisfactory, hindi marunong, magulo ung routine, undertime ung therapist. Its important for me na magtip kahit di ako natuwa. Just my personal choice.
200-300 PHP: for first time thera na natry ko and goods naman ang service. Bale pinaka base tip ko ang 200.
500 PHP: sa mga regular therapist ko. Its important to find your go-to thera sa mga spa para alam mong you are in good hands.
700-1000 PHP - for exceptional performances.

Its okay if you do it. Its okay if you dont.

Hopefully, nakatulong ito! Plug ko lang again na may small forum kami for spa discussions in TG. DM lang if you wanna join!

BEST INFINITY SPA BRANCH

Sa mga nakapag-try na ng multiple branches of Infinity Spa, ano ang ranking niyo based on over-all experience (facilities, service, massage, crowd), i.e. kung worth it balik-balikan?

For me:

Cebu - hot crowd, spacious

Makati - feels spacious but does get crowded

CDO - fairly new, not very crowded

Bay Area - nice crowd, nice massage

Cubao - low water pressure, a bit dated

Davao - masikip, thera insistent for ES

Kapitolyo - super dated, masikip, unimpressed sa massage (but i believe this is closed na)

EDIT: added Kapitolyo branch in the list
