Undefeatable Mega Maneuvers of 'Spaceball One'

Spaceball ONE vs. [Insert any smaller ship here]

Still no! It isn't the size of your Spaceballs' crew, but how big your Spaceball ONE is (not to mention how you use it)! Remember, Spaceball ONE is also a transformer which can be changed into a massive robot called (Reddit post) MEGA MAID and go from suck to blow with the flip of a switch!

This means this Spaceball "We Brake for Nobody" ONE ship could literally destroy both the death star and suck out all the air out of Planet Druidia at the same time!

There are so many 'wanna be' so called mega ships out there even ones that transform, but they will never compare to ONE... Spaceball One! It is just too big! No other one comes close!

The idea for this post came from this Reddit Post and the CBR Article proving Spaceballs is Better than Star Wars and lastly Spaceball ONE design at D6Holocron.

Spaceballs Sequel Announced for April 2027 After Being Named One of the '80s Funniest Comedies

Spaceballs: The Subreddit Discussion

Will the Spaceballs sequel (The New One) be better, worse or the same as the first (old) one and why?

This Men's Journal article (picturing Rick Moranis aka Dark Helmet) mentions the reason why the world is in love with the original Spaceballs:

>Much of that popularity stems from unforgettable performances by Rick Moranis as the pint-sized villain Dark Helmet, John Candy as Barf, and Brooks himself in dual roles as President Skroob and Yoghurt.

Do you agree? Men's Journal also mentions that Collider, the authoritative voice of the entertainment industry, ranks Spaceballs, the funniest comedy of that decade (80s):

>“It twists our favorite moments from the world’s most famous saga in joyously silly ways,” Collider wrote.

Spaceballs: The New One, Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming sequel of Spaceballs, is scheduled to hit theaters on April 23, 2027. It will be directed by Josh Greenbaum from a script by Josh Gad, Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit.

We got to see Spaceballs in theaters for the first time for Mel Brook's 100th birthday!

Galaxy Theaters (a small chain in a handful of states) had limited showings this weekend. The one by me only had a single showing today at 1:00. The theater was 70% to 80% full which was nice to see. The whole theater chain still has showtimes for this Wednesday listed. So there's still a chance to see it for anyone who wants to.

Whip out those Spaceballs: The Quotes and pop quiz us: Who said it and "When does this happen in the movie?"

Spaceballs: The Quotes Game

  1. Mission: See who can 'dink' the other in this battle of Spaceball wits!
  2. Playing: Surely, everyone knows a few common Spaceballs: The Quotes, but true Spaceballs know who said it and when it happened in the movie!
  3. Rules: Don't go rewinding your licensed VHS copy of Spaceballs to find the scene - in fact "Never play this again" during gameplay anyway.
  4. Allowed - quotes that are just sounds like:
  • "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... it" (said by Spaceball Actor/Comedian Michael Winslow pictured above)
  • A clearing of a throat sound (said by Yogurt just before he spills the tea on Lonestarr)

Example: "Nice dissolve!" Answer: Barf said it just before the four started the trek across the hot desert when the "sun is overhead".

"Everybody got that?!"

"GOOD."

Spaceballs - They've gone into plaid

Barf: "What the hell was that?"

Starlord: "Spaceball One."

Barf: "They've gone to plaid."

Happy birthday Mel, and thank you so much for bringing us Spaceballs.

Sequel Script Sneak Peak

So...Josh Gad posted on his Instagram a Happy Birthday message to Mel Brooks while showing some behind the scenes of Mel doing audio recording for Yogurt. On the laptop, there are some lines from a scene he was reading from. I was able to read each word carefully and got this:

YOGURT:

Trust me. I can imagine. The bad guys build a thing. You destroy the thing. They build the same thing because they didn't learn their lesson from the destruction of the first thing. They destroy that thing. Then they build a next generation larger than the first and second thing. Now, they think they've got you, but really you got them, because the bottom line is their engineers are not very good at their jobs.

STARBURST:

No...Master Yogurt, you don't understand. This time...its a reboot...

Beat.

YOGURT:

F**k me
