A MESSAGE TO EVERYONE REVIEWING LOCK UPP SEASON 2

Before you make another review of Lock Upp Season 2, do yourselves and your audience a favour—watch Splitsvilla first.

I’m sorry, but if you’ve never watched Splitsvilla and you’re reviewing this season, you’re reviewing only half the story. That is simply not fair to your audience.
Every second review I hear is:
“Why is everyone calling Yogesh a cheater?”
“People should move on.”
“Everyone cheats.”
“Why are they only targeting him?”
No.
You’re completely missing the point.
This was never just about cheating.
Yes, cheating is unfortunately common in our society. That doesn’t make it right, but sadly it happens every day. If cheating alone were the issue, people would have forgotten about it months ago.
The reason people haven’t moved on is because of everything that happened AFTER the cheating.
The gaslighting.
The victim blaming.
The constant attempts to make Ruru look like the problem.
The defending of behaviour that many viewers found completely unacceptable.
That is why people still react the way they do today.
And that’s exactly why Yogesh keeps getting called a cheater.
Not because people have short memories.
Because people have long memories when they feel someone was never held accountable.
The screenshot I’m attaching explains this better than I ever could.
Look at Ruru’s face.
That wasn’t someone crying because of a reality show task.
For many viewers, that became the face of someone who felt betrayed, blamed and emotionally broken while everyone around her tried to justify what had happened.
Now look at the caption.
The person isn’t celebrating someone else’s pain for entertainment. They’re saying something much deeper:
Sometimes the tears of the person facing consequences simply don’t outweigh the pain of the person who lived through the consequences of their actions.
That is the context you are missing.
So when you sit there saying,
“Poor Yogesh.”
“People should stop calling him a cheater.”
Please understand why thousands of viewers disagree.
And while we’re at it…
Akanksha and Yogesh are arguably the biggest talking points of this season. Their entire journey comes with baggage from Splitsvilla. Ignoring that baggage and then reviewing Lock Upp as though these contestants walked in with a clean slate is poor analysis.
You don’t have to like Splitsvilla.
You don’t have to enjoy dating reality shows.
You don’t even have to finish the season.
But if you’re reviewing Lock Upp without understanding one of the biggest stories that shaped two of its main contestants, you’re missing crucial context—and your audience deserves better than that.
I’m not asking anyone to hate Yogesh.
I’m asking reviewers to educate themselves before forming opinions.
Watch what happened.
Watch the finale.
Watch the aftermath.
Then come back and tell us whether you still think people are calling him a cheater “for no reason.”
Context changes everything.
Reviewing Lock Upp without watching Splitsvilla is like reviewing a sequel after skipping the original movie. You’re entitled to your opinion—but don’t be surprised if it’s missing the biggest part of the story.

Watching yesterday's task in lockupp was nostalgic

If you know, you know.

Ruru and yogesh performed the same task in splitsvilla and ACED IT.

I miss ruru and yogesh being together even though i don't want them to be together anymore. Is it just me?

I don't understand why are people crazy over the Yoganksha ship. I was crazy for the ruru and yogesh ship, and seeing anything that reminds me of them is heartbreaking and nostalgic.

i dont support shilpa shinde at all, but you should be the last one to say all this, cause u ruined someone's mental health too, u also made her feel insecure and gave her a trauma, she loved u and truly wanted u in her life, u still played w her, i hope aapki maa humesha sharminda rahe aap jese ladke ke waje se, ruru lit kitna bura feel kr rhi hogi after seeing these mfs hugging, playing around, laughing, blushing, thats a literal nightmare for any girl or boy its really v disrespectful also, like wow u felt bad about ak when u left her but didnt feel guilty even for once when ruru got hurt because of u, double standardsss eww, fame ke liye kitna girta h ye banda humesha

Real fandom vs PR. Its clear

So people were saying Gullu/Kaira Mv as flop but fan favourite Akku didu got less views than her followers. 😂. This is how you detect fake fandom and heavy pr. I hope jo Pr karke aage badhe unko life me reality check atleast mile.

Guys I can see a lot of hate posts for Ruru suddenly and a lot of "I'll start shipping again" posts for that couple. Is this genuine or PeeR because I feel like the internet has the attention span of a goldfish and I'm being severely gaslit by the internet.

We all knew that both of them were gonna fake this love angle, and they have already started it. How are people so gullible to suddenly get swayed by edits? Matlab one edit with good background music can change your thinking? That's so stupid. Thank God my Instagram doesn't have Splitsvilla content, but on Reddit, I'm seeing a wave of shippers who have suddenly come back to support them again. Is it that easy to manipulate? Wow, man. Lol. And why is Ruru getting so much hate today suddenly? She's not even actively in the drama now. This is so organized, and I can definitely smell P..R activities happening. Within 1 hour, their support posts are getting 100+ upvotes, and the same is happening with Ruru hate posts. I know these Telegram organized activities. Damn. This couple toh has become like God, and poor Ruru is still facing hate, and she has not commented one single thing on anything.

Lmao this looks so forced🥀😭✌️

After seeing this, the question still arises... Does she actually like Yogesh? DO THEY EVEN LIKE EACH OTHER THAT WAY? or is it becoz of the forced hype ship led by their fans?

I feel like it's just friendship btw them. No romantic feelings honestly.

Yogesh/Akanskha plan

So guys if you just think a lil bit have you noticed them creating a situation that will generate hate and later on seek sympathy and gain followers, reach, hype??
This it their strategy to stretch the situation and i think i am one of them who detected it long ago but people who are still falling for that mess just think guys.
And instagram everything is pr. Comments, followers, likes (Their pr look after it even the edits don’t fall for it). They will create a situation where they will get a lot of hate and slowly slowly seek sympathy through it. So don’t fall for it. As i’ve already said career built on sympathy won’t last forever. Even random influencers have abaove million followers these days. It is not a game of numbers.
Don’t make wrong people famous atleast

Diksha said this about Ruru today. But Akanksha's PR cut the clips just to suit a certain narrative. Damn y'all are so weird. We dislike Ak and Yogesh because they cheated and said so many bad things about Ruru on IVs but y'all doing this is pure evil.

u/Competitive-Train305 — 19 hours ago

Akanksha's PR has crossed all levels of hate for Ruru. They are laughing at Diksha after getting cheated on but they dragged the topic with 10+ posts to hate on RURU js to amplify the hate and d3ath threats against Ruru.

Bhai we dislike cheaters and we are calling out Himanshu as well but in that community cheaters are getting worshipped.

Now they are coming up with posts like "Ruru doesn't seem like a good DJ" and coincidentally all of it is coming from sidechick glazers.

Lmao what is even Akanksha good at? Neither can she perform, not can she dance. Where do they get the audacity to write all this bs while glazing homoph0bes and cheaters?

Ruru has got endless hate since January with her account getting talen down. They want to openly ship the cheater duo so cutting clips to paint Ruru as a bad person just so they can ship Yogi and akku.

Atleast here I see people disliking Yogesh and Akanksha for a reason, Yogesh for his cheating and misogynistic comments and Akanksha for her podcast bs, commenting on people's upbringing, faces, looks etc. But there Ruru is being hated just to serve a particular agenda and this annoys me sm. Had to rant about this since I'm banned there for calling out the cheaters. Also guys if you're banned on that community then do not create another account because that's against rules
