My pulls over the last 2 weeks. Some dope autos, my first redemption ever, my first acetate ever a few low #, some relics, and a lot of high #.

The card gods have been really good to me. I can’t even lie. Disposable income to live out your childhood is fun.

Blasters or Megas and which ones? (NFL/NBA)

newer to ripping packs but other than buying singles i enjoy ripping packs yet am unaware which are good and purely buy for looks and building my PC. Which are the best brands for getting good cards and pulls and which should you stay away from?

in addition just got 5 mosaic mega boxes so not worried about the money and haven’t really gotten blaster but which is better blasters or megas?

I thought for a second lol

I am very new to the hobby! I bought a mega Topps Signature Class Mega box from Bestbuy. I have opened a couple of blaster boxes but that’s it. I pulled this and didn’t realize there was a serialized version. I also pulled an orange Davonta Smith /50. This was still by far the best box and pull I’ve had so far!

I’ve never graded anything myself. Are these worth it doing it or no?

Stopped collecting for a like a year. Going to fanatics fest NYC on July 17th. My friend is trying to buy all these off me or at least my best cards.

Not really sure what to do

How do you decide what to grade

Pulled this Havertz numbered to 99 and I'm genuinely torn on whether to send it off.

Still learning the grading side, so trying to figure out how you all make this call:

  • From the photos, does the centering and corners look clean enough to come back a 9 or 10? Or am I missing stuff a more experienced eye would catch?
  • Does being numbered /99 change the math at all? Like is a graded gem worth enough over the raw card to justify the fee on something like this, or does it depend more on the player?
  • With turnaround where it is right now, would you bother on this one or just keep it raw in a one-touch?

Trying to learn how to eyeball "gradeable" before I start spending on submissions. Honest takes welcome, including "keep it raw."

Completing the set

I’m new to the sports card market and I’m curious to know what people are doing to ‘complete the set’. Some of these new sports card sets have checklists with 300+ cards with multiple parallels, inserts, etc. I’m interested to know what is common for completing a set or hoping to get some guidance. Is it just the base cards? It seems like most people rip packs to get banger hits and forget about the other cards. Thanks for the help. (Love Topps chrome NBA but I’m on the FIFA World Cup hype train)

Lucky break

I was trying to fill a 3 mega box break of Phoenix and was at it for hours today trying to fill the break for as little as $3 a team and had no luck. Eventually decided to refund everyone their money back and felt defeated cause I want to get into break…not even for the money but just to enjoy pulling sick cards for other people and to be apart of it. After I refunded everyone I woke up my girlfriend from her nap to open a box with me and I let her choose from the 3 boxes. Next thing you know boom she pulls the case hit 🤣
