Is P4X just a P4.5 with a different barrel?

In other words if you have a HD P4.5 can a P4X barrel fit in it and you got the same pistol or are there other differences? If so, is Staccato planning to sell the barrel with the compensator block separately?

Wonder if anyone tried Tenicor Certum Lux4 with Olight PL-X yet ? does it kinda fit but not secure or does it actually click into space and secure? Some said with bigger spacer would fit but i don't want it to be loose and just sitting in there, thanks for your help.

Holster?

I am looking to buy a OWB holster for my Kimber 2k11 Comp.

Safariland does not have one in production yet but many have said the Safariland holsters for the Staccato XC work very well.

I’ve narrowed it down to these two models and wanted to ask the masses if anyone is rocking one if these on their Kimber 2k11/Comps using the Staccato XC holster model?

Also, I have the bail loop on my other holsters that I am used to. Some say go without it. The 6354 does not have it and I was curious how those that have it like it without the bail and cover?

The 6360RDS has the bail and cover like my other holsters and what I am used to. But I think it would be an easy transition from one to another.

Thoughts? And thanks in advance!!

Coyote Staccato!

I know i committed a sin covering up the DLC finish on my CS, but i am thrilled with how the job turned out. Shoutout Mod 1 firearms in Nicholasville Kentucky! Let me know your thoughts!

New EDC!

I know the CS is discontinued, but I wanted to add it before it was gone. Took it to the range and ran 850 rounds through it without any hiccups. I have the P4.5 but wanted to add something smaller. Super happy with this pick up!

C4X with RMR HD Price.

I’m thinking about trading in / selling my C4X. I have smaller hands and ridding the safety and hitting the trigger is just damn near impossible with my hands. What could I expect with trade in or sell at a lgs.

HELP ME

Can someone just tell me which Staccato I should get that is a perfect balance of concealed carry but also is a great flat shooting range handgun. I’m 5’11 185lbs and my hands are on the larger side so the cs model is a little too small for me. Ive seen some people say they carry the P model and love it but also see a lot of people say the C model is the way to go. I will be adding a light and optic on it as well, thanks in advance you filthy rich animals

C4X slide on P4 steel frame review

I intentionally bought the C4X simply to put on my P4 frame.

After ~500 rounds running the stock C4X configuration before making the swap (wanted a piece of mind of somewhat breaking in the gun)

C4X alone is a great gun. Money aside.

But the C4X on the the P4 steel frame, then throw a little light on the rail and **chefs kiss**

It is exactly what you expect and a little more. This fucker is nice to shoot. I’ve shot atlas’s, all the major 2011 competitors sub $3k, almost every staccato besides an XL (don’t care for it), this my friends is one hell of a gun.

Very soft, return to 0 is shorter and faster than stock. It’s noticeable even for someone new to shooting guns. (Buddy was with me)

It’s faster than a P4.5 because the slide reciprocates a lot faster. Probably just as pleasant of a shooting experience.

To sum it up, your average shooter might notice the difference from going from an aluminum to a steel frame on the C4X. But the ones who actually go out and shoot a lot, this will be a night and day difference. If you are a good competent shooter, this is the configuration you need.

P4 slide on C4X aluminum frame. It’s actually not exactly what you’d expect. I wouldn’t say it’s snappy like a stock P4 but it reciprocates in a wavy motion. It’s obviously less snappy and softer than the C3.6. But it’s a different experience from all of the rest of the HD line.

I personally think it shoots better than the 24 C on a full or compact sized grip. This is a good carry option.

If you have a P4 and you’re contemplating on getting a C4X. Do it then swap the slides. Worth every penny. It will justify even buying your P4 because I know you guys second guess either buying a 4.5 or bought the 4.5 and shelved the P4.

TLDR: C4X slide on steel P4 frame full size grip. Worth every penny. Justifies the P4, justifies the C4X. You get two completely different guns out of the two. A nice carry gun, and a wicked fast 4 inch 2011.

Keep the P or ?

I have a P I’ve been running as my EDC, I won’t lie I love this gun BUT it’s been harder and harder to carry. Was debating the new p4x or whatever it’s called. Does anyone “know” the estimated sizes for it ? I was also considering coining up a c4x on one of the CPO drops, thoughts ?

New to me : STI DVC 3-gun

Just did some trading around with a buddy of mine who kinda got me addicted to 2011s , ie the reason I had to buy my first staccato P two years ago. Somehow he got this in a deal and he thought he wanted it till he realized it was setup for LH shooting , which works for me but not for him. It looks like it has a TTI magwell , but I’m not sure if the mag release is factory or not. From the limited research I’ve seen online it seems like a quality model to own. It came with the factory case and info label , plus the manual and tool inside the case. So I’m guessing it lived a sheltered life

Staccato HD P4 Comp

I purchased the HD P4 as a CA carry pistol. When the C4X came out right after, I decided to buy one of those assuming I was spending a lot of money for a little improvement in carry comfort and possible shootability. I was greatly surprised at how effective the little carry comp was on the C4X and how much more comfortable it was to carry.

With the C4X firmly holding the position of "Primary Carry Pistol," I wasn't sure what to do with the P4. Although it remains a quality backup carry gun, I did not enjoy shooting it after experiencing a compensated 9mm for the first time. I looked into how to add a compensator to the HD P4.

Rather than sending the gun off to have a chunk port cut into it, I ordered a compensated bull barrel from DSC Gunworks. Three weeks later it arrived and dropped right it with a tight fit. I added a Staccato mag funnel and a Surefire X300 Ultra B to round it out.

The gun still fits the same P4 holsters with open muzzles, such as the 4 Brothers holsters and a Black Scorpion Gear HD Pro USPSA holster.

The P4 is now my HD P4 Comp and is an awesome range toy and home defense pistol. It's getting more range time than anything right now.

Costa VIP vs C4X

Hey Reddit. Long time user of the Costa VIP here as my EDC. Very curious if any CCVIP users have tried the C4X yet and have any feedback between the two?
