Combat bug

Is it just a me/this season issue or does the game lock people into normal 2v2 matchmaking at the end of every season before the next one starts with no ability to change modes without becoming soft locked?

I need help on some decisions!

Okay, I know the title is vague but I need help badly. I just reinstalled Star Ward since the Black Rock Shooter collab. I assumed I had Black Rock Shooter and as I logged into my account she's gone. Granted I have crap memory so maybe I never did pull her, but I swear I set her as the main character in the menu. Anyway, I'm in a bit of crisis right now. I also just learned that there's a Frame Arms Girl rerun but I only have 5 hours left and my resources are low. What's the fastest way to farm? Will there be a BRS rerun? Am I cooked and should I save for the next collab that's coming?

I'm in distraught

Most wanted collab?

The games been getting a few of em lately, but what series do you wanna see the most? Personally I think a Neptunia collab would be awesome.

I hope you guys are mentioning the matchmaking in your surveys.

For context, no one in this is myself (granted I have my own screenshots, just not THIS bad). I was looking through replays as I sometimes do when I came across this monstrosity. Player numbers are nowhere near low enough in the game for something like this to occur. This wasn't even at a strange time of day. I don't even know how you'd defend this in good faith.

What's your biggest problem in this game?

For me, the biggest problem isn't even the games fault.

Terrible internet that freezes the screen for seconds, and giving me 2 frames a second.

Also randomly being matched with darkstar players or just the matchmaking being terrible. I once fought a 4000, I was 4700

AI art

So i logged in for a moment to make sure I claimed all my dailies, and saw the survey ping. I go to it and notice they're using ai generated art... now I know for early characters they used ai art, and while im not ok with it at least going forward they had been using actual artist to make stuff, so it felt like more of a waiting game for them to eventually update the old stuff. But with the release to global and more money coming in theres no excuse to keep using ai art, and I think we need to let them know that. Especially if we're giving them money like i did for some cosmetics.

The game's char mechanism suck and I am leaving it out of anger

After about a month playing this game, I spent all the "star dusts" or wtf the game requires to spin a new Char, and to my surprise, it came up with a Char I already had from the beginning and reset the counter to 70. No, I didn't talk about one or a few spin, I am talking about 60 spins. I saved and saved and got to 60 spins. And the last one came up with an f old Char that I have from the beginning AND it reset the counter to 70 again. I will gladly take it if it remain the counter to 9-10 after this old Char appear but not this. This is so disappointing. This is why this game is not popular and never will.

Looking for teammates

Hello people, I'm looking for someone to play with. The server doesn't matter, I have mostly good connection in every server. I have around 8 hours in this game, it has been really fun. But I want some teammates that I can rely on in this game, I think that could make it more enjoyable.

I mostly play this game on my Steamdeck or PC.

Friend Dragged Me In

HELP, the game is actually fun and my wallet won't be able to handle it xd

So far a character I really like is Kaze (free limited version) but I just started and her trial ends tomorrow, is there anyone similar I should keep an eye out for while trying to get her from standard banner? ... I also got Galahad from my first 10 pull but I don't think I know how to make her work at all... any tips for her?

I am interested in easy (to remember) tips on how to play either Galahad or Shadow.

Greetings, fellow users of Starward/Xīngzhīyì/Hoshi-no-Tsubasa. I've found this game not too long ago and have been playing intermittently for a good while. Unfortunately, while I was admittedly first drawn in by the appearance of the Black Rock Shooter characters in the game's roster (which I had completely missed the event that featured them, as well as being surprised that there was anyone left in the world that still remembers that particular part of my late teenage childhood), and have been a bit discouraged and turned away from all the gacha mechanics and microtransactions in the game, having to remind myself that those are simply a normalised part of Asian gaming culture compared to the West, that's all besides the point of this thread.

I've managed to get mad lucky and scored a Galahad and Shadow at the character recruitment section. I've tested them a bit, and I am interested in the combo-chaining potential of both; Shadow in particular seems to be very fast-paced, sophisticated, and combo-friendly. Both of them seem to be heavily melee-oriented, with relatively poor stamina. As I'm aware that the gameplay seems to be closely inspired by, if not outright identical to, the Gundam Extreme VS arcade games (something that while I do have fond memories playing as a young lad, it has been way too long ago for any form of instinct or muscle memory to happen immediately), I am currently under the assumption that they play quite similarly to the Mobile Fighter G Gundam units from that game, such as the God, Master, and Spiegel Gundams, so that probably translates to a high-risk, high-reward powerhouse whose main gameplay difficulty is closing the gap between me and my target due to lacking in ranged options. Is this way of thinking helpful for me to do? What are combos, attack patterns, or habits that are reliable and would be easy for me to remember?

I am sure that the moveset upgrades ("Talents", as the game calls them) would improve on their overall performance immensely, but I've considered myself uncharacteristically favoured by luck already in getting a hold of these two powerful babes; I hold no hope or expectation whatsoever in receiving a copy of them in order to convert the copy into a free upgrade. And purchasing a Talent-unlocking item from the store page is not a viable option for me either, as the in-game currency price for one is outrageous.
