Anyone ever figured out how to use Optiscaler inside a non-steam game?

I decided to try out that FSR 4 mod inside MGS Delta but whatever I did the game just instantly freeze at the start up of the screen. Haven't test it on the other game yet tho

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

The weekend is here! So what’s everyone playing? Whether it’s something new, an old favourite, or something you’re emulating, drop it in the comments.

Don’t just list your games, let’s talk about them. What are you into right now? Is it living up to your expectations? Did you hit a frustrating boss, find a hidden gem, or are you finally get around to something that’s been sitting in your backlog forever?

Jump in, share what you’re playing, and talk with others about their games too. Looking for recommendations? Want to rant about a tough level? All of that is fair game.

So, what’s on your playlist this weekend?

For People who want to Play PS3 Games on Their Steam Deck (RPCS3 Guide)

Some people asked me how to play PS3 games on their Steam Decks, so I just made a simple guide. If anyone is interested, they can watch it.

It contains everything from installing EmuDeck to setting up RPCS3, Downloading Updates, and actually updating them, optimized settings for most PS3 games, and the RPCS3 overlay (which came)

Also, before watching, please know: no matter how good the settings, the Steam Deck CANNOT run very demanding games like Killzone 2, God of War 3, or Uncharted 3.

Also, I noticed a lot of games' audio doesnt work unless you set the audio backend from Cubed to Faudio, so if you dont get any audio, just try switching that.

Controller Support, Using PC Hand Held - Need Games

I need recommendations of game that don't require mouse and keyboard, I have a Legion GO S. I prefer base building with a purpose to protect my self from hostile NPCs and other environmental elements. Games I played so far that work without mouse and keyboard:

Sons of the Forest - very good

7 Days to Die - very good

Medieval Dynasty - Very good, a bit more on the management of other NPCs

Eden Crafter's - I love automation, but I prefer hostile NPCs

Planet Crafter's - same as above except the automation

Aska - it's pretty good, same as Medieval Dynasty

Raft

Project Zomboid - very difficult learning curve, I haven't got around to learning the mechanics

Alters - it's ok, but haven't progressed far to yet.

Neccesse

Tinkerlands

Little Rocket Lab

Zelda TOTK installed on pc. Dropped on steam deck but not working

First time trying a repack on the steam deck. I installed it on my pc, it loaded up fine. Copied the folder over from PC to steam deck.. yuzu loads fine using the multiple emulator launcher by FG,. I had to re find the game location but after doing so the game shows up in Yuzu but doesn't launch.

Any help appreciated. I heard you could just drag and drop games after installing on pc but I'm a noob to this and it's probably something really basic I'm overlooking?

Thanks

Forza Horizon 6 Steam deck controls not working

Hi everyone! Has anyone been having issues with Forza Horizon 6 & the steam deck gamepad controls? I downloaded it from steam rip.
I’ve tried so many different things I read and nothing is working so far.
I’ve changed the fake app id to 1172470.
I’ve tried manually changing the control inputs in the game but it won’t do anything.
I’ve tried changing the templates around in the button layout section.
I’ve tried enabling and disabling steam input in properties.

Anything extra I should be trying to get this to work?

Thank you in advance!

Update: I figured it out and put exactly what I did in the replies!

thinking of getting a steam deck! process of SteamRip? thanks!

I have a big library of games on playstation and Nintendo, I want to get into steam but really dont want to drop hella money since I have zero games on steam. I dont like playing games on monitors / TV's I like handheld gaming. can someone tell me how the process of steam rip works. I also only have a Mac. id like to emulate retro games up to gamecube etc. I would seriously look into buying Kingdom Hearts 4 for steam deck etc. I dont mind low battery life, as I would prefer to play decently high settings and frame rate and be plugged in as I game in bed/couch. also how is switch emulation on steam deck? I have a switch and PS4, event gotten a ps5 cuz I dont like any of the games this gen other than armoured core and Elden Ring that I have on ps4. THANK YOU

Hoyo Launcher How do you get it to work

How exactly do you get it working? I installed the Launcher, then installed the game i wanted but after trying multiple games non of them work, in gaming and desktop mode. They just crash and close.

I am trying to play Honkai Star Rail and while there is a unofficial launcher its in flatpak format so I cant find a way to get mods working with it. So i figured using Hoyo launcher was my way around it but the game always seems to close like 5 seconds after hitting play in the launcher menu.

iv seen videos online on how to install it and they all seem to do it the way I did it but I have no luck

How to setup lossless scaling (pirated)

I had a lot of issues with this so i figure id post a thread here to help. You have to download the 0.8.1 lossless scaling pluging off the github, not the newest. The newer versions have a check that prevents it from working somehow. It runs just as good and i tested it on a very obscure pc game i also pirated.

Besides that just put the actual lossless scaling files from cs.rin in common and download lgvk in the plugin and it should work after you put the launch option in.

Also anyone tested a pirated version of death stranding 2? It says verified on store but the verification system means jack shit so idk.

What is the best FIFA to play on steam deck?

Which is the better game (better content offline /gameplay ) and most importantly best performance ?

FIFA 15 and 17 are supposed to be GOAT versions and they’re old so I assume they perform well? Unless they’re hard to run for whatever reason

I got FIFA 23 and it’s alright but I heard it’s not well optimized

And otherwise I guess I heard the new one (FC26) is well optimized and runs well (just no online bc of anti cheat ). Edit: I know this one isn’t pirated but I added it to the list to compare to other versions which are bc maybe it runs better ironically bc of update to the frostbite engine and it’s heavily discounted so i want to know if it may be worth it or which one is still the best to run on steamdeck out of all the version I said

Been trying to get switch emulation to work and right now the thing I'm stuck on is that in gaming mode ryujinx doesn't seem to be able to see the steamdeck controller. Any advice would be appreciated.
