My new laptop got stolen in meerut
So I live in kmc college of nursing near bagpat bypass, I was in my room on the night of 18 august 2026 and i used my 1 month old laptop till about 1 am then I put it back into desk and covered it with a cloth so it doesn't catch any dust and best morning I remove the cloth and there's no laptop there but a notebook instead of it, i asked my hostellers friends first if they are playing any prank and I got the warden, princepal and director involved and they checked everyones room multiple times but didn't found anything and at the end I went to jani khurd police station and filed a report on the same day. Now I believe someone planned to steal it as this doesn't look like a simple lift, someone deliberately came in room when I am sleeping and replaced it with a notebook. There's no cctv in hostel but only in front gate and it's clear, the other entrance to hostel could be a balcony in the same floor and there's a cctv below that balcony so if someone threw the laptop out of the balcony in a bag and someone catch it then the cctv will reveal it but that cctv belongs to janki newsprint and they are only gonna give access to the police. I am really hoping this matters gets solved soon.
