Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai!

Airtel's "Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai" wasn't really about mobile plans—it was about that phase of life when friends were your world. ❤️

The class topper. The last-bench legend. The one who always borrowed notes. The one who never returned money. The one who picked up at 3 a.m. The ad celebrated every kind of friendship, reminding us that everyone had a role to play.

Released in 2011 as Taproot's first campaign for airtel, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and music by Ram Sampath, the foot-tapping anthem became bigger than the brand itself. It dominated ringtones, status messages, college festivals and, more than a decade later, still resurfaces every Friendship Day.

Maybe that's why it still feels so special.

It didn't tell us to buy a SIM card.

It reminded us to call a friend.

‘AI will not replace a company like ours’: Chairman Nandan Nilekani defends Infosys model

Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani has pushed back against growing concerns that artificial intelligence could undermine the traditional IT services industry, arguing that companies capable of adapting quickly will emerge stronger from the technology transition.

Speaking at Infosys' 45th annual general meeting on Tuesday, Nilekani said the rapid advances in generative AI have prompted fundamental questions about the future relevance of IT services companies, particularly as software coding becomes increasingly automated.

But he insisted that the industry's role extends far beyond writing code.

"AI will not replace a company like ours. It will amplify those who move with purpose and adapt with speed," Nilekani told shareholders.
