It is what it is and time to walk away.
I used to support the triplets, but after everything that has happened recently, especially the situation involving Sophia, I’ve completely changed my opinion of them. I’ve blocked all of them, and at this point, I’m honestly done supporting them.
My biggest issue isn’t their relationships. I completely agree that whoever they date, or whether they date anyone at all, has absolutely nothing to do with us as an audience. What bothers me is the way I feel they create unnecessary speculation around their relationships while simultaneously saying that they want their romantic lives kept private.
If they genuinely intend to follow their own words and standards about keeping relationships offline, then, in my opinion, the whole Sophia situation probably never would have become what it is. They could have simply kept whatever their relationship is—or isn't—to themselves and maintained the privacy they've said they want.
What makes me question the speculation is also their history. There have been several girls they've brought around to events, celebrations, YouTube videos, or other content where people immediately started assuming there was something romantic going on. Maddie, Tara, and a few others are examples. Yet, based on what we've actually seen, those people ultimately ended up being friends rather than girlfriends.
So when I look at the past four or five situations where people have tried to connect them romantically with someone they've had around, it makes me less inclined to automatically believe that Sophia is their girlfriend. I could obviously be wrong, because I don't know what happens privately, but I'm also not going to sit around searching for signs, analyzing every interaction, or trying to convince myself of one thing or another.
That’s actually one of the biggest differences between me and some of the people participating in all of this speculation. I’m not going to let their potential relationship consume my life. I'm not going to make videos analyzing every glance, interaction, outfit, post, or appearance, and I'm definitely not going to start shipping two people simply because they appeared together.
Ever since the Sophia situation really blew up, though, it has become the one thing that made me step back and think about how inconsistent everything seems. Not because I care whether they're together, but because of the pattern. Every time they've brought someone new into their content or around their events, people have tried to turn it into something romantic, and historically, those assumptions haven't necessarily been accurate.
Again, I don't know whether Matt and Sophia are together, and honestly, I don't care enough to find out. That's their business. I'm just explaining why, based on the history I've personally observed, I'm not going to participate in the endless search for “signs” that they're in a relationship.
The bigger issue for me is the contradiction. They’ve said they don't want fame, attention, or their personal relationships online, but they continue to be heavily involved in social media and content creation. Matt has talked about not wanting attention or fame in his book, yet social media is still a huge part of what they do. They say they want boundaries, but then situations like this continue to generate speculation because of what they choose to put online.
The Sophia situation is what ultimately pushed me over the edge. From my perspective, the speculation surrounding Sophia and Matt seemed to become much more noticeable around the time of Matt’s book release. Sophia appeared in parts of their birthday content, and suddenly there was a lot more discussion surrounding the two of them. I could be completely wrong, but from the outside, it feels like the speculation generates attention for both the YouTube channel and the book.
And that's another reason I find it hard to take the whole “we don't want attention” thing seriously. If you genuinely don't want attention surrounding your personal life, then the easiest solution is to keep your personal life private. You don't have to confirm or deny anything—you can simply not put it online.
There are also other contradictions I've noticed. Matt has talked about not focusing on or worrying about the past, yet his book seems heavily centered around his past experiences. Again, that's his choice, but it's another example of something that doesn't seem consistent to me.
I've also noticed contradictions when it comes to their supposed “type.” They say they don't have a type, yet their social-media behavior and the people they follow or publicly interact with can give a very different impression. I'm not saying anyone is required to have a particular type, because obviously everyone is attracted to whoever they're attracted to. I'm simply pointing out the inconsistency between what they say and what I personally observe.
Another thing that has bothered me is how little gratitude or interaction they sometimes seem to show toward their audience. Their audience is ultimately what supports their platform and allows them to make money from things like YouTube and books, so I would personally expect more appreciation and engagement.
And then there's the issue of who they choose to surround themselves with. If they knowingly associate themselves with people or families who hold racist views, that's something I personally cannot overlook. I believe the people you consistently choose to associate yourself with say something about your judgment and your values.
None of this means I'm claiming to know what is actually happening behind the scenes. I don't. I could be completely wrong about Sophia and Matt, and honestly, whether they're together or not doesn't affect my life whatsoever. I'm simply explaining why, from my perspective, the entire situation feels immature and contradictory.
At this point, I just don't enjoy their content anymore, and I don't respect the way they handle certain things. They're 23 years old. I personally expect adults that age to start growing up, communicating clearly, and standing by what they say.
This is my opinion before I completely walk away from them—and honestly, from this snark page as well. Everyone is entitled to think whatever they want and say whatever they want. I'm not here to tell anyone what their opinion should be.
But I'm also not going to be participating in the arguments, responding to people, or letting anyone get a reaction out of me over this post. I'm saying what I have to say, and then I'm leaving it there.
After I post this, I'm unfollowing this page and moving on. I'm not going to let their relationships, their content, or the endless speculation surrounding them take up any more of my time.
I said what I said, and I'm comfortable walking away.
